Oh yeah, sure thing! Here's some things I've learned over the years: - Fancy computer programs are great, and can make animation easier, but they’re not required to make a great animation! If you can animate with a pencil and paper, or with the simplest computer programs, you can animate anywhere! - Clean lines can give your animation a more polished and finished look, but don’t get too hung up in the cleanup stage of your animation. If you can’t see an imperfection when playing back your animation, it’s better not to worry about it. - Always have a plan! I used to be one of those people that wanted to grind through my projects, thinking I didn’t need to plan out my animation and that it would all be in my head and “I’d get to that part when the time comes”, but it doesn’t always work out that way. Do some rough sketches of what you want your animation to look like, even if it’s short. This makes the process a ton easier. - Study your surroundings--watch how people, animals, and machinery moves in everyday life, how organic shapes move versus mechanical shapes. This is the most important to ensure your animation is smooth and fluid. I had to do a lot of figure drawing before I could understand anatomy well, and I’m still learning! - Have fun! Make sure you’re having fun with whatever you’re doing. Animation is hard work, but the final product is always worth the perseverance in the end. I also suggest watching this video, it helped me a lot when I was still learning: th-cam.com/video/uDqjIdI4bF4/w-d-xo.html If you’re an animation nerd like I am, consider picking up "The Animator’s Survival Kit" by Richard Williams, there’s a ton more tips in that book too. Good luck!
