I love the UA video's but just a thought, bring Freiburger and Finnegan should be on a single day ride. Actually all the MT contributors, one day of added hilarity. Keep this stuff going guys.
Its a shame Nitto obviously has a hand in this, wouldve loved to see some of these rigs running super swampers or boggers. They probably wouldve done a lot better in the last episode too.
IncogInfidel Fuel tanks aren't often a flat, even surface inside, and even if they are, I can't recall a stock tank that is designed efficiently enough to pull all the fuel, you're trying to throw the fuel into the pick up tube. I've ran out of gas a few times driving land yacht's, this can help.
Both wrong. It's because the vapor recovery system in the pump shuts off the fuel if it goes any faster than a trickle. Holding it upside down or at a wierd angle helps speed up the fow before it trips off.
actually I was kidding, David is a great help anytime it is needed. He has missed a couple days on the last 2 Adventurers helping people with broken rigs...David rocks
This really makes me want an M37, but I know to buy one and get it running well will cost in the magnitude of 20k-30k for an uncomfortable vehicle that can barely do highway speeds. Illinois, making California gas seem cheap.
Any issues with having the remote reservoirs so close to the engine at 5:27? The shocks probably aren't generating a lot of heat on this trip but I'd think on some trails that really put the suspension through its paces, they'd heat up pretty good
I've got an 85 k20 and I'd like to know also! It looks like the tug truck has a set of them too! I've read all 4 parts of the build of the tug truck on the 4wheel website and it makes no mention of them.
The CUCV in this episode isn't the same one that Fred built. This one sounds like it has a 6BT Cummins in it, the one Fred built had a 6.2L supercharged gas motor swapped into it.
When is the next one me and my dad have fully built our trucks he is would be in a 08 dodge ram 2500 Cummins I would be in the same truck but a 95 ram cummins
Oh my god! The old guy with a suzuki didn't know how to check engine oil quantity! You should first wipe the stick clean, then dip it and look the level. He just looked at he the stick without wiping it and said: hard to tell. Of course it is har to tell, because the stick is covered with splattered oil. P.S. You don't need to wipe the stick before putting it back.
So let me get the strait, you think the old guy with the Suzuki that swapped out a engine in a day to meet back up with the OA guys doesn't know how to properly check his oil? Lol ok.
How far wrong could you be? Well for starts, Tim made that Zuk with extra tin cans he found behind his house. Tim is a true MacGyver, he has restored and built vintage cars and has made parts from scratch that no longer exist for vintage car collections he was the care taker of. I know you do not know Tim, sometimes the camera man says, "can you do that again?" thus sometimes what you see is the second take.
Jerome Burrasca I'm just saying there is required equipment for this event. You have to have at least a 35" tall tire, front and rear locking differentials, and a winch.
Metcalf I know, it probably wouldn't hurt to have a high mount fresh air breather for the engine as well. It's a huge commitment of time and money to do this type of driving. I would just use the Wranger to get me up to Tahoe for snowboarding and camping weekend trips. Doing these kinds of mods turns every day drivers into occasional use toys. You might be better off just buying a dirt bike for this type of driving, or a small all terrain vehicle.
That isn't the point. Myself and all these people really like this sport. We covered over 1000 miles during the event and more getting there and home. I put over 3150 miles on my rig for the entire trip. These vehicles have to strike a very unique balance between road manors and off road performance.
datguy807 I don't think you understand. The point of Ultimate Adventure is the fact that you are driving so much in a purpose built vehicle that doesn't do great on the road. Because of this, there are new challenges and metaphorical obstacles to be bypassed. Again, If you've heard of Drag Week, the same thing happens. 2000+ hp vehicles driving cross-country makes for a huge challenge.
datguy807 Why does everyone think anyone who spends more money then they think they should, ought to donate it instead? Who's to say they don't have charities? Or that they don't donate at all?. They can do all this and still have a good BBQ and beer. I'm not trying to be a dick but damn it's annoying when everyone thinks you should just give all the money they think you waste to charities or friggin Africa.
Eventually you run out of room to take everything and have to compromise. Rick's has some issues with fuel range but it was abnormal, I think the engine was running open loop all the time or the fuel pickup may have not been getting all the fuel out of the tank....
That converted Suburban was way cool, never seen a wheelchair lift integrated like that.
Cool Suburban
DTsteve45 No, it was definitely a suburban
DTsteve45
1:55
DTsteve45 it clearly says suburban
That was def the coolest lift gate system I've seen
That wheelchair lift is sweet
This show is awesome. I watch it at work on my lunch break, wish I was there myself!
Tim hardy deserves an award for trooper of the year award every year he does it
As much as I like Pewe's Jeep, that M37 is a great rig.
“We’re cruising the cornfields of Iowa, it doesn’t get any better than this“
Rick, are you high???
coolest door ever in that suburban
P
This years group of rigs is pretty legit, gotta love the old Sammy! Never seen a newer Silverado front clip on a old blazer, pretty cool...
that chair lift at 1:30 is super cool
There is actually a cook book for cooking on your car engine called "Manifold Destiny". I dunno though. Seems like it would be Benzine flavored.
I love the UA video's but just a thought, bring Freiburger and Finnegan should be on a single day ride. Actually all the MT contributors, one day of added hilarity. Keep this stuff going guys.
That turbo sounds sick on that Jeep!
That wheelchair lift was cool.
Its a shame Nitto obviously has a hand in this, wouldve loved to see some of these rigs running super swampers or boggers. They probably wouldve done a lot better in the last episode too.
no doubt atleast a set of boggers, rockers, iroks etc...
used to work at Kaltire and never liked the trail grappeler compared to my iRoks
Tim Hardys Suzuki must be 70% random bits he either found on the side of the road, junkyard, or epoxy.
+Alexander Helton 45%samurai 15% epoxy/ JB weld 20% tires and 20% random parts thrown together
that turbo'd jeep was sick
Cool choo-choo on the Banks truck :) Turbo FTW!
0:51 everyone who drives a classic car knows this damn maneuver!!
Care to share with a young whipper snapper the point in doing this.

Amesie's Corner Oh actually that happens to me sometimes I just pull the nozzle out a little bit and it pumps fine.
the last hill was awsome!!!!!!!!!! gald everyone made it up with no winching
I love series like these there the best awesome and great entertainment thumbs up

Where is the love for Dave Chapelle helping out with that engine swap on the Zuk?
Dave just stood there and watched Sam and Tim do all the work.
tom boyd Tommy is right. I just stood around and threw beer cans at the guys doing all the work.
tom boyd
moral support geez.
actually I was kidding, David is a great help anytime it is needed. He has missed a couple days on the last 2 Adventurers helping people with broken rigs...David rocks
Man I miss my cherokee! Can't wait to get another one:(
i havent had a Butchs pizza in many years. i really miss those.
8:48 someone lost a bag
Pretty sure that jeep is boosted. Definitely not a compromised bag.
Justin Vanover lol not what i meant
someone literally lost their ruck sack on the climb
Jared Reabow
ooooooooooohhhhhh, sorry I've been watching wayyy too many car videos to take anything literally lol.
Gotta love Butch's Pizza
Does that Banks jeep have a turbo in it? Sorta sounds like it.
That is totally the coolest way to cook pizza
This really makes me want an M37, but I know to buy one and get it running well will cost in the magnitude of 20k-30k for an uncomfortable vehicle that can barely do highway speeds.
Illinois, making California gas seem cheap.
That Grand Cherokee is sweet
Am i the only one that heard the turbocharged jeep at 9:00
i did
sounded like it had an RB26 in it, sure it didn't tho
also the jeep at 11:30 sounded like it had a supercharger
It says banks right on the side of it

Hi i am trying to find this on the play store and can't find it can anyone help

Was this truck in picayune, ms on Tuesday Nov 18 at the Subway restaurant?
awesome , love ultimate adventure
Boy, that sure is a weird looking '88 Blazer. It's sad that I have to now add the word "Sarcasm", to avoid comments from all the YT geniuses.
solid axle grand cherokee wk? nice
that's why i love my WJ
+Harrison Conyers bro, I love my wj. pretty sure it's the best factory off roader! lol especially with Quadra drive and the 4.7
Bailey O. Same here. My engine is blown up though so I'm hoping to get an 04 4.7HO this week and I'll swap all my upgrades and lift to it.
+Harrison Conyers I want a 2004 so bad lol. got a 99 rn. what's the reason she blew?
+Bailey O. I have an 04 now and it was just a ticking time bomb as all the V8s are. It made it 177k miles though.
Any issues with having the remote reservoirs so close to the engine at 5:27? The shocks probably aren't generating a lot of heat on this trip but I'd think on some trails that really put the suspension through its paces, they'd heat up pretty good
At 8:46 whatever engine is in that jeep? Turbo V6?
Love your shortcut :)
In 8:51 someone lost a bag haha
time for Rick to get a bigger gas tank!
Did they pick up the backpack after that hill?
You guys are by Galesburg illinois that's my hometown
What kind of headlight are on the m1008 cucv chevy I want a pair for my 84 k20
I've got an 85 k20 and I'd like to know also! It looks like the tug truck has a set of them too! I've read all 4 parts of the build of the tug truck on the 4wheel website and it makes no mention of them.
JuiceSpringsteen88
I would guess these guys, since they are a sponsor:
www.jwspeaker.com/other/the-next-evolution-of-led-headlights
jsha You're the man! Looks like they're the model 8900s.
Jw speaker. And they are the best I've found yet.
150 miles per tank, what size tank do they have?
Great vid
Y'all in Iowa I live in Iowa where u guys going this year
Did he keep the same engine in the CUCV (the GM 6.2L diesel V8) or did he convert it to a Cummins
The CUCV in this episode isn't the same one that Fred built. This one sounds like it has a 6BT Cummins in it, the one Fred built had a 6.2L supercharged gas motor swapped into it.
Your are the best
Let the COAL ROLL!
I want to put a turbo on my 98 ford ranger, kinda like the one on the black jeep
Hey Pewe ever heard of a Jerry can?
When is the next one me and my dad have fully built our trucks he is would be in a 08 dodge ram 2500 Cummins I would be in the same truck but a 95 ram cummins
How much would an ultimate adventure dodge cost?
nitto endorsement, nice
I woulda took the plastic off the pizza

Maybe he pulled the stick out to see if there was any metal on it, then wiped it and put the stick back in so he could check the level.......
who gives a flying feck through a rolling flaming donut? Besides you? Give it up.
So let me get the strait, you think the old guy with the Suzuki that swapped out a engine in a day to meet back up with the OA guys doesn't know how to properly check his oil? Lol ok.

if you listen he says, "hard to tell... if the oils' clean" with a pause
12:06 what is that? And I must have one !!
who the hack stole my idea to put a 12v in a k!0 …. haha… i like that swap...
The plastic wasn't even taken off of the pizza so it must have gotten melted all over it and the engine.
guaranteed that pizza was raw and tasted like shit
the plastic melted into probably didnt help it taste any better.
Anyone notice the banks jeep is turbocharged?
Lol true it was just shocking to me lol. I cant stand jeeps tho, I can out do them in a ranger lol
Don't suppose you can tell me what wastegate is on that black turbo Jeep?
why
ive never seen a turbo jeep before, but that one sounded pretty cool and seemed to have no trouble. id do it.

this is my sort of wheeling
More Fred Mored Fred More Fred
genial.!
More cummins smoke, less music.
the fact he ate the pizza is disgusting
2015 Jeep Wrangler 2 door with 33" tires, doors removed with a bikini top. Done! Enough said! :o)
Jerome Burrasca except you have to have 35" tires minimum for the event....and lockers...and a winch.
Metcalf But then I'd have to get a body lift and what about throwing off my speed odometer, gearing and reduced breaking power from the bigger tires?
Jerome Burrasca I'm just saying there is required equipment for this event. You have to have at least a 35" tall tire, front and rear locking differentials, and a winch.
Metcalf I know, it probably wouldn't hurt to have a high mount fresh air breather for the engine as well. It's a huge commitment of time and money to do this type of driving. 3.59 a gallon PHEWW
There's more talking than off roading action
That Suzuki has seen some shit!
Nice
lol pewe cooking a butch's pizza under the hood
6:53 stan lee cameo
What happened to the pizza
why not use a big rig to haul your cars ???
That's part of the point of this. It's like the drag week of offroading.
yes but you could save money by using a big rig to haul your jeeps and have more money ???
datguy807 I don't think you understand. The point of Ultimate Adventure is the fact that you are driving so much in a purpose built vehicle that doesn't do great on the road. yes but so much money for gas you could have a good barbuque and beer or donate the money to a charity ??? !!

I'm not trying to be a dick but damn it's annoying when everyone thinks you should just give all the money they think you waste to charities or friggin Africa.
Stupid idea but an extra can of gas wouldn't be a bad thing to have.
Eventually you run out of room to take everything and have to compromise. Rick's has some issues with fuel range but it was abnormal, I think the engine was running open loop all the time or the fuel pickup may have not been getting all the fuel out of the tank....
This is so cool! Too bad I don’t know jack shit about cars or have the funny money to make these types of cars and stuff lol
Who else saw that line? In 2:10
Hahah the pizza
I think you should leave the truck the same.
buds driven an air plane.
