Hi André, I think your videos are very interesting. Would you like to make a video with tips and tricks for mixing vocals? Tips for which plugins you recommend to use, for example the de-esser, OPTO compressor or 16T (if you have) and perhaps some basic settings that always work well for you. I'm curious! Greetings from Bryan from the Netherlands.
Hi Bryan, I have and use the DeEsser, 16T and the PeakLimiter76. I´d like to purchase the other ones as well and check them out. I usally put the DeEsser on my vocal group, the 16T on Bass and the 76 on my drum group. The 76 has an "All In" Button that totally squashes the signal. Ideal to be mixed in via the parallel path. But don´t underestimate the "standard" comp. For Vocals I use it in RMS mode, attac around 10 to 20ms and release around 200ish... Hope that helps, Cheers
Screen was "frozen". Your English is very good! By the way, if you have a 'failed' recording, there is a way to recover it but it's a real pain in the arse! See instructions for QU here - should work the same for SQ: allen-heath.kayako.com/Knowledgebase/Article/View/1126/201/why-do-my-qu-drive-recordings-appear-corrupt
haiii Andre... can u explain about Ringing out using SQ5 for live stage/events.. bcause i have some problem about that.. bfore this use yamaha TF5 i dont have humming.. after that i change to SQ5..when on live stage i have to eliminate the humming.. first i cut the high frequency at the GEQ second at PEQ in Master main..but the sound is small..so how to solve this.. does the simple rate on the mixer make the frequency rate of the mixer make it strong and clear? i hope you help me to solve this problem..im means explain step by step how to do this... hehe
Hi Andre Scaier.. I have tried to understand the FXlayers But how do i use an fx effect layer dedicated to a mix layer only? I can copy a Return to the Mix layer, yes.. or insert on one channel that works. FX return is build of two incoming levels! LR level and the Level on the FX layer level for each channel. so god so far Now you have a FX return build from these two layers.. any change will be heard in your FXrtn so a FXrtn on af mix bus is adjusted from two other layers LR+FX layer bus! AUX1 mix return/send looks like they are switched on the back side.. the AH way make only sense when you want to use a unused mix layer and feeding mixlayer into a FX from effect 5 to 8 not for running a effect build special for your monitors.. so how do i work with one effect Fx(4) not inserted but build from the Mix layer effect added from fx4 layer and only returned to the Mixlayer Mikkel Holm
Hi Mikkel, I don´t quite understand your question...When you talk about layers, do you mean Fader Layers? Like the assignable layers A - F? It would be nice, if you rephrase your qusetion, so that I can help. Cheers
