Nothing need to be said. Seagal career is 6 Ft under. Bruce maybe 6 ft under, but he is still shining his star In Hollywood and Hong Kong. No one can dispute that.
You said it major minor... Bruce Lee was a far better Actor. Yet, I'd be a fool to take bruce over segal in their primes. I remember watching Sugar Ray Lenard unable to hurt Marvin Hagler, yet 'pitter pattering' out a somewhat hollow victory.
@@JamesAllenJr if you recall Marvin Hagler when he was boxing in any match whenever he had an opponent hurt he would go in for the kill in other words he would punish his opponent with a barrage of punches and trust me Hagler being a true middleweight boxer with the power he had in his punches would have seriously hurt Leonard and if you remember when those 2 fought what did Hagler do when he had Leonard hurt twice he didn't do like he usually does and no one all of a sudden changes the way they fight if they had not been paid to lose a fight
Gent-tle-men ... we well-come you .... to our Buffet of Martial Farts We forge ... our abs thru the fire of our appetite ... we are unique!Seagal! Yah! Mr. Williams, you seem shocked! Only at how messy your man eats ....
Bruce Lee is the best martial art instructor that came out of Hong Kong, Steven seagal can not come close to Bruce Lee, all that comes out of Seagal is pure hot air! He's always been a has been and would never come close to any accomplishments that Bruce Lee got and can never move that fast! Steven You eat to much and talk to much crap about persons that really deserve more than you! Get on the thread mill
Too many people compare Bruce Lee's fighting skill to what they've seen from his films. There's a big difference between theatrical JKD and functional JKD. The man was a martial arts genius with ideas way ahead of his time.
How??? You could say for sure that Mike tyson was a great boxer but Bruce a world class martial artist........ We don't know apart from what you seen in movies
I love Bruce Lee :To my opinion Bruce Lee was definitely underrated He had so much more knowledge To offer all of us God rest his soul in peace RIP!! 《☆"DONZO"☆》
The late Jim Kelly said that Bruce was absolutely incredible. That people really did not know how good he was. Too bad he died early and cannot defend his honor. Why doesn't Steve challenge one of Lee's core students while they are still alive?
+Charles Benitez Jim Kelly Also said he saw Bruce Lee beat "a great champion" in a full contact sparring session but he refused to name him out of respect.
The late Jim Kelly said that he knew people that did sparring with Bruce Lee, people that today are GM, famous trainers some hall of fame but Bruce Lee put them down when they spar ... and for respect and not to cause embarrassing to no one Jim didn't said names, but he said something that resumed all .... I said Bruce Lee was untouchable, no one could touch him ...and this says it all ... Bruce Lee was and still is various steps above all martial artist in the world today ... All those guys that had the opportunity to experience Bruce Lee's knowledge , were amazed by his skills. ... Bruce Lee was untouchable. ..that's it ...

Be healthy my friend. It's actually more important than I thought.
The best people to ask, are his widow Linda Lee, Dan Inosanto, Chuck Norris, and those who were closest to Bruce Lee. And Steven Seagal isn't one of them.
Martin S unfortunately, like Bruce Lee, Jim Kelly, Steve McQueen, James Coburn, Joe Lewis is gone as well. I've listed the people that is still alive, and that were closest to Bruce Lee. I don't know if, either John Saxon or, Bob Wall is still around. But if so, they would also be added to the list of those that can be asked about Bruce Lee. And there's a lot names that can be added but, I will just add one more that's still around, which is Jackie Chan.
Moahmmed All Nayeem in short, Bruce Lee had, still have and always will impact millions of people worldwide in some way, shape or form. Steven Seagal may have some credit but, nowhere near in comparison to Bruce's accomplishments.
Steven Seagal never met Bruce Lee, and has no first-hand experience fighting Bruce Lee. Seagal can talk all he wants to, but he is a blowhard, a washed-up, third-rate actor.
I'd love to see this clown actually fight somebody that knows how to fight. He's always picking on people he knows he can beat up. Fuck Steven SeaGull and the horse he tried to ride in on.
Steven Seagull is only dangerous to people that don't know how to fight. Fuck that clown. That fat, ugly, conceded, lying, pathetic excuse for a human.
Do any one of use remember the interview they had with STEVEN SEGAL he claims he was by Bruce Lee Bed in hospital and he told them he had a bullet in him but again how could he he was very young I think STEVEN SEGAL was only six years old when Bruce Lee Died he's just making a Complete DAMM FOOL OF HIMSELF
James Coburn didn't even know who the hell Steven Seagal was then. Lol, Seagal was a young kid when Bruce passed away. Seagal was not in Bruce's funeral ceremony.
Bruce was untouchable when he was living, he was challenged many times and always either invariably defeated all his challengers or taught them a lesson. He was criticized and down-sized by no man...as soon as he passed, every ordinary run-of-the-mill wannabe martial artist and even many of the reputable ones began to either defame him or disrespect his prowess, accomplishments, name and legacy and that is the most cowardly any man can be.
yes, this is truth. I would say though, that likely there were those who could have beaten him, but would be against their nature to challenge him. In other words, it's probably not wrong what Mr. Segal said, but it was wrong that he said it.
Yeesss tell em again purple haze! This whole "show me" attitude must have just been invented or something. Just think of all the full contact fighters back then in both martial arts & boxing. Not one & I mean not ONE of them, got so tired of hearing how great Bruce was that they had to challenge him. Not one of them told a 5'7" Bantamweight or Lightweight to watch his step or watch his mouth or else. No one back then said lets expose this fraud as just an actor who could only fight when in front of a camera & when the moves are choreographed. (Pause) I wonder why! Then the man dies, is buried, & years go by. Then all the "show me" types come out the freaking wood works. With all the hoopla nowadays I'm really surprised some long lost tape hasn't surfaced of someone putting a 5 foot 7 Bruce in check, either sparring or full contact. (Pause) I wonder why!
@@justtryingtotellyou1164 I only heard of the legendary martial arts master Mr Lee through my great grandparents and never tiring watching the video collection on the old DVD player. @@justtryingtotellyou1164 Tellin' it LIKE IT IS! You are absolutely Correct. If anyone would've actually BEAT him---We all would have Heard about. Plus---Bruce was a bit 'Cocky, but he Earned it; If he wasn't for REAL, he would've gotten his little BUTT beat numerous Times! Nuff' Said!!
Nope, not even the Chinese believe that, he came to the west running away from some very serious martial; artists that even Bruces own father said would kill him, the Chinese are a very secretive people their are & have been some incredible Masters who as in the authentic tradition followers of humility before anything else who have no interest in the validation of dumb westerners who know who they are and what they can do seeing fame as ego out of control, hung fei wong is accepted in China as the best closely followed by a young Ip Man who in his prime would has destroyed Bruce.
Bruce may not have been the best in the world which he never claimed. What he is thou is the greatest know martial artist of all times...Who has been admired by all except Steven Legal who is the greatest Martial arts liar out there....For such a bad dude why did he let himself get checked out on public TV.....
I honestly believe Bruce Lee would have knocked out Steven Seagal. In fact, Seagal or any of them would not have wanted that smoke if Bruce was alive and in his prime because , remember Bruce Lee was always ahead of everyone when he was alive.
Twice actually. Once at Sly Stallone's house (his reason being he was eating) and another, I believe that same night at some club. Can you believe that? Bad Steven Seagull got chased around town by a man half his size.
You will say Im full of shit but I witnessed the incident at the stallone party and Van Damme didnt duck out the party and not say a word to anyone including the host who invited him Sylvester Stallone and Van Damme did more than just discreetly or calmly call out segal to fight outside the whole party of about 250 or so people stopped what they were doing which was alot of doing going on before it happened and watched and waited for nothing segal bounced and was quick about. JCVD WAS PISSED CRAZY FOR HOURS AFTERWARDS BUT EVERYBODY LAUGHED AND WENT BACK TO DOING WHAT THEY DO AT HOLLYWOOD PARTIES. Frank Stallone and my uncle are both friends and members of the Sons of Italy Organization and my uncle was invited by Frank and my uncle was cool enough to take me along I was 21 or 22 at the time but I was there and disappointed in my admiration for segal. If he had said to stallone or anybody period " Hey Im leaving I didnt come here to fight or I dont wish to fight or even My Mothers sick I gotta go" it would have been profoundly different atleast for me in my view of segal but he didnt say a word to anyone just left and thats what they all laughed at for about an hour after he split including both Stallones and my Uncle Salvatore I think the only ones not laughing was JCVD because he wanted to kick his ass so bad thats all he talked about for hours after and the coke he did kept him going like that and me I didnt laugh because he was the reason my uncle took me so maybe I could meet him and talk with him because I just discovered Aikido and he was the first american to be recognized as a master. I dont know anything about a club challenge but I saw and heard all that took place at stallones party and its all sadly true about segal
Bruce Lee was a true great! He broke down many, many barriers and left a lasting and indelible legacy. He never bad mouthed anyone or disrespected anyone, and he always carried himself with great dignity and honour. A true role model!!
And not only that, he parted the seas too. Martial arts were alive and well, well before his dad got a glint in his eye. And the whole world knows he was a theorist, not an actual fighter. His exploits were in choreographed ACTING roles. Not a drop of blood any where on a canvas.
Bruce been gone for like 40 yrs an ppl an you still feel the impact this man still brings in movies, anime,an teaching but you have simliac babies are questioning fighting because he doesn't have belt to hold up his pants mr.Lee said this"anybody can say there black belt until they proof it"
indeed, he was not only a great artist, a great martial artist, a philosopher, a film-maker, and writer but he also could be considered as the father of Kick-Boxing, father of MMA, brought the modern routine for work-out with protein shakes and many other new types of equipment for fitness and training. He was constantly evolving even though he was already levels ahead of everyone else at what he did. He had truly obtained the mindset of evolving and learning something each day to better himself. No telling how great of a filmmaker he would have been along with changing the way contact sports are today. If he were here then there might as well not have been an era of sex, drugs and rock & roll because youth would not have been attracted to that. Everyone who saw his movies was smitten by his charm and could not resist his personality. Such pure energy could have indeed changed the world today considering how much influence we have had been by media and celebrities. Bruce was TOO REAL for this world
In my opinion, Seagal was a Hollywood Black Belt. A true Black Belt would never make that statement about the greatest artist of our generation especially when he is gone. Discipline also includes controlling your mouth in which Segal is a White Belt.
Not only are we beating this dead horse we dragging it. Lol 😃 I just can't understand how people continue to say Bruce was overrated when alot of the top Martial Artist doing that time sparred with him and was blown away by his speed and power. But he was just an actor, yeah ok.
People say what they want now because he's dead. When he was alive nobody was brave enough to say shit. Not even Chuck Norris and the gang dare challenge him. Just think about it and it makes you cringe. He was a martial artist nobody f*cked around with during his time. Today yeah expect a lot of bs. Dead man can't talk back or hit back. Keyboard heros like Jai White, Segal and so on are a shame to the Martial Arts community. They claim and type a lot of sh*t on social media but they dare not enter the octagon. Even a lightweight like Mighty Mouse would make quick work of either two. Not kidding you guys. Heck throw Sakuraba in against them BOTH at once and it's GG.
What amazes me is that this hate of Bruce Lee and constant bashing never ends. A few new posts just came up on fb and a few other places. It's just insane. When will it end?
Let me put it to you this way.. Bruce Lee's skill as a martial artist was so significant. He has not been forgotten. Chuck Norris was defeated by Bruce Lee in real life. He was always at the time Bruce was alive quoted as praising Bruce Lee for his power and speed. A skilled Martial Artist never admits defeat and feels they are invincible. This is the nature of a serious artist. Everything we do as most practitioners are followers after what Bruce Lee made popular. Bruce's Skill was otherworldly.
If Steven Seagal was secure within himself as a man and a martial artist, there would be NO reason for him to lower Bruce Lee, who, by the way, was a truly dedicated disciple, teacher and master of his own destiny and craft. I've sometimes wondered if Steven makes such thoughtless and arrogant comments to bring attention to himself as well as for others to bring praise to him as is still being done with great admiration, love and respect to the name of Mr. Bruce Lee. Mr. Lee will forever be the reigning champion and king of his craft and a genuine motivating inspiration for every walk of life and to future generations to come whilst Steven's name gradually fades.
I'm still a student of Bruce Lee and after years of learning from the Master I say you are full of it . It's strange how everyone can beat him after he Died but I didn't see any of that when he was alive.🤔 hmm
Bruce was the best we know of...... though the possibility of some (in the past, now or later) better always does exist . Bruce will always be the best that I've seen....and heard. To me Bruce would rise ( if not the best ) to be the best because he was so good that he was constantly by the second growing better than what he previously was......maybe without being consciously aware of it at all times because of his will or want that was so deeply engrained within him. He would become the best right then and there....wherever "there" is....
Just think for a moment how young he was, and how UNFINISHED he was with his martial art evolution. He died way too soon and not at his TOP prime. It is still a mystery how good he'd be had he not been murdered. His physical conditioning was still in test mode and not even complete. One could say Bruce Lee was training to reach Super Saiyen level on a mortal scale. He got murdered and now we are all, basing his greatness on a LOW LEVEL BRUCE LEE that was already a BEAST. Now lets stop and wonder what he'd been had he not died? Imagine the finished, the completed Lee with fully completed Jeet Kune DO version 5.0.
No one is better than him, apart from modern day MMA fighters. Theres no secret grandmasters living in a cave on a mountain top somewhere who is better than him.
Bruce WAS the stone that you throw in the pond !! The ripple effect was so immense, it continues today. Just look around you.... anywhere you go, there's always going to remind you of Bruce!!Crazy thing to say, but it's true. The man was so great on many different levels . I am and always be a "Lee Jun Fan" ! 🙄🤔 Get it " Lee Jun "--FAN. 😂👍💪💪🖖⚘💖😎
A lot of people thought just like Steven Segall and challenged Bruce Lee to fights on the sets. while filming his movies and got they're asses tore out the frame!!
I 'll say this Steven Seagal is a big fat BS that all he's bro! Thank you for your video bro! Love it. To me master Bruce Lee always be the best of all of the best and i wish he still here with us that would bee awesome.
Lee was a generous master. He revealed his best firms and techniques to all. Westerners or minorities. He was 100% anti racist. Lee is why many of us Asians strive to be better. My greatest idol on equality as well as MA.
I agree with you all the way and I am sorry for saying this but who gives a Fuck what Steven seagal thinks because he is a jealous belly that wants to talk shit so people would quit talking shit about Steven seagal so again who gives a Fuck what Steven seagal says
Bruce Lee In no doubt whatsoever was and sometimes is underrated . His underlining philosophy of martial arts is simply too far ahead of the masses for it to be understood by most!🤓
Bruce Lee was undoubtedly one of the greatest martial artists of all time and if Bruce had lived until 2018 Bruce would have eventually been defeated but Bruce would go on to study that person who beat him and would go on to defeat the person who defeated him...that's how good Bruce was.
I enjoy segal's movies, and he has skills, but Bruce Lee had a charisma, style and magnetism; a self belief that took my breath away in the early 80's. His ideas really opened up martial arts and cross training. His philosophy reached many, promoted through his movies. A true great! Loved the way he moved, and how it changed through his short period in films! Would love to have seen it continued.
A 30year history of films is not a footnote. And Segal was also, like Bruce, known as a fighter. The difference is that Segal actually stayed true to his original martial art and became VERY highly ranked.
tmedocianis Very highly ranked in an art that is subjugated to a life of 2nd rates. As a true combative style only about 2% of aikido is useful. Anyone could reach that rank so long as they stayed with it. I am a 4th dan in TKD and only 29, by seagals age ill likely be 10th dan. Sorry, seagal is not and never was known as a fighter, just a joke.
tmedocianis And dont say he stayed true. Aikido is a art of peace, seagal is a bully and a rapist who fears proving himself against proven fighters but will gladly pick on nonfighters like david spade and john leguzamo.
You cannot say he was the greatest artist, because art cannot be measured...Who was the greatest musician, Mozart, Bach, Beethoven...? the greatest painter Da Vinci, Michelangelo, Vermeer ?? Same with martial art !!
bruce lee put martial arts and steven seagal on the map so steven seagal is making another absurd statement to boost his image and his name! unfortunately for steven seagal and others who have tried to boost their images and names by bashing bruce lee it is backfiring! also bruce lee openly shared his life and his teaching with everyone and steven seagal is very private and has been involved in so many strange and controversial experiences and stories! i would not have ever had any interest in martial arts based on steven seagal's martial arts abilities or his movies! steven seagal is an example of someone who learned how to fight and used his fighting ability to cause chaos everywhere he goes! thank you for your videos brother teacher! your videos are accurate and you are a great role model!
Drew Norton also Bruce was open to ALL challengers that's why he fought Wong. Bruce was never afraid. Even Bolo challenged him on the set. Few others too. One in Thailand. Lee was for real. U wanna duel he was ready.
CHM - that is true! also he did not lie or get get caught up in as many controversies as steven seagal! steven seagal is constantly involved in some kind of controversy or BS story!
Also Bruce Lee has TONS of living evidence, students, masters and others that has SAID openly, BRUCE was untouchable. Segal CANNOT and has never been said to be UNTOUCHABLE by anyone except that Segal farted while training Anderson Silva.
Bruce Lee was 1 of a kind.As for seagal saying bruce Lee is not the greatest is not disrespecting or degraded Bruce Lee it's just his opinion.Just like people say LeBron James is better than Michael Jordan and he sure as hell is not.
To me a ridiculous question to begin with. There are many great grand masters that have never been seen or heard of before. The Shaolin Masters to me come to mind. Trained each day in not only their skills fighting but every type of weapon imaginable. Trained from a small child and continue well into old age. I think you would find that the best ever was one of these monks.....I began martial arts in 1971 and still involved today. The Green Hornet and the show Kung Fu were my influence to begin martial arts. I do have to admit, Bruce Lee was and always will be my hero! Yours in Bushido
Steven Seagal forgets Bruce Lee #1 rule "Flow like water" which means you go where the opening is, Bruce Lee had more than Jeet Jun Do, he had knowledge of all of the fighting arts of the world and used it when it benefits the situation (the flow like water style like he had), I am sure that Steven would find that Bruce would have been a very difficult person to fight and come out on top. Steven Seagal uses the Wing Chun method with a lot of quick attacks inside, and I am sure that Bruce would be able to beat that because he is known to be the quickest with his hands. in the history of Martial Arts.
He did not master even one martial art. He did not even master the basic s of Wing Chun in several years of study, while good students master them in a year.
I have studied Bruce Lee for 39 years&other martial artists or fighters, nobody was as good as Bruce Lee,he didn't compete because he did not care about trophies&medals,he cared about whether or not if he could kick your ass in a street fight, defending himself or anyone else for whatever giveth reason&yes he could&did",nobody stood a chance against Bruce Lee in a for real fight period
Bruse Lee that man is one of a kind... Seagal is full of shit.... And we all know the truth. My dedication stays with Bruce Lee. Ask yourself this how come no other human being on Earth could do what he did no one has broke the world records he has set. There's no other human being on Earth like him that man is in a class all on his own.
the promise man Brandon Lee could wipe on the floor . Steve ass trust me. that why he never came out. because everyone else would want to fight him .. thanks
Steven Seagal is a black belt, nothing more. He can probably beat down some fat good ole boys but that's about it. I think that any member of the Russian Special Forces could waste Fatso Seagal.
Bruce Lee would've destroyed Steven Seagal! Too much speed on Lee's side. The JKD master beats the Aikido prodigy hands down. Thanks for the video Brother Teacher
Bruce was always developing himself. In Bruce’s mind. He wasn’t fully developed. He never stopped. When he broke his back. He didn’t come back stronger. He came back insanely determined and stronger. He knew there was always something to learn and develop. And because of that. I have the up most respect for him.
I just lost a lot of respect for Steven Seagal. How someone can say that the late great Bruce Lee wasn't the even close to being the greatest martial artist of all time is far beyond me. All the hype that Bruce Lee came onto the martial arts and T.V. scene with, the man clearly lived up to and much more. The man forever revolutionized the world of martial arts, not to mention that he paved the way for a lot of other martial artists including Steven Seagal whether he wants to admit it or not. And there's a boatload of martial artists who wished they could even be just one tenth as skilled as Bruce was. Also, Bruce Lee showed and proved to the world how effective his skills were. And I've yet to see one martial artist who can even come close to matching Bruce Lee's level of martial arts excellence. And given the fact that Steven Seagal clearly isn't one of them, makes his negative opinions about Bruce's skills not only ignorant, but therefore invalid. And Steven's in no position whatsoever to try and say that Bruce Lee wasn't close to being the best. Many people worldwide still honor and respect Bruce Lee, and his popularity hasn't at all diminished. He's still the most respected actor and martial artist now as when he was still alive. And to you Steven "HATER" Seagal, that's not gonna change. For you to say something so inaccurate not to mention derogatory about such a great man, is just plain and simply B.S. And until you've met the level of accomplishments that Bruce Lee has which you haven't and you won't, you really need to keep your mouth closed. Because Bruce was a martial arts master far superior to you, and instead of dishonoring and disrespecting the man's memory, like anyone else you should bow down. Because he was a far better martial artist accidentally than you are purposely. And the man took far better care of his body too. And you're fat, flabby, and out of shape. So you need to just back right on off of the legendary Bruce Lee, because he's unfortunately no longer here to defend himself, his family certainly wouldn't appreciate your disrespectful comments, and Bruce by far was the best of the best HANDS DOWN!!!!! So Steven button your lip, and let the late great one rest. R.I.P Bruce. You're the greatest. God bless.
Thank you so much Melvin. To hear others that really know the contributions of Bruce Lee, and give him that credit, truly earn my immediate respect. I appreciate your feedback. -brother teacher
Funny you'd had respect for Steven Seagul in the first place. The man is a renowned sycophant, heckler, con man, box office poison, and all round despicable as much as a human being could be.
I just find him very high on himself, while belittling many others. I find that pompous. He appears to be legit based on others that have been more objective. The "Enter the Buffet" comment is pretty funny. But I don't know if he has a glandular problem or just likes food. So, no judgement. But, his analysis of Bruce Lee is way off. Yes there are masters that are not in the public eye, but he was one of the best ever in the public eye, if not the best.
I have never seen seagull Fighting Man of his own size this true when he was younger and slimmer he ran like a sissy girl now he's just a odorous blimp an awful liar and bullshiter let Russia have him
Now, I'm not going to personally attack Steven Seagal, he is a Aikido master. The difference between Steven Seagal and Bruce Lee, Bruce Lee had a mind for the martial arts, he added two the substance of martial arts, Steven Seagal is simply regurgitating what he was taught for years. As far as acting, Bruce Lee's movies are considered classics, I don't think 30 or 40 years from now, Steven Seagal will be a footnote in the martial arts film industry. Bruce Lee will be synonymous for his own Contributions to furthering martial arts. Steven Seagal Won't Be Remembered at all. It's about the impact you make, what you add to the martial arts. On that note, what has Steven Seagal added to the martial arts?
Mr. Stroud, thank you for uploading the video. Bruce Lee was and is the measurement for any martial artist. As you alluded to Bruce studying virtually every form of combat ever conceived and his power, speed, and method of applying different techniques was and has been unmatched in every category. A true legend and inspiration and like the brightest stars that shine they are fleeting. Bruce was inspiration to push the human body and mind to unbelievable limits to achieve something we will never see again.
volkbyte the hell steve been talking shit for years. So I guess everyone is making up stuff about Steve. I still enjoy his movies but why he lies I don’t know. Your the one who needs get his facts straight.
Samuel Dumas , you have respect for him. I have never respected him. Bruce was a fighter with Aura, Charisma, abilities they are benchmark and timeless. Steven Runs like a Girl or better like a chicken 🐓. With his Toupet and his leather Mantel 🧥from film to film. He runs away from J.C.V.D when he say he can defeat him van damme was will to fight. Bruce have kicked the Shit out of him. The only thing that have survived was his horse 🐎 touped/wig. Only a horse can a dragon 🐉 sidekick survive. I mean for real, one kick of Lee, tausend pieces shit of liar Segal. The fight scene of Lee vs. Han - when Lee kicked his head like a baseball bat with his shinbone/round house kick. Similar to Tyson/Segal fight scene when Tyson hold him with the right hand in position and punched him with his left hook in the ground of the bar.

Chuck Norris, who is the most tournament wins of any martial artists starts and is a legitimate name as one of the greatest tournament fighters said that if Bruce Lee had competed in tournaments he would have beaten him. So one of the greatest fighters ever says Bruce Lee was the best. Steven Seagal never competed in a tournament and would be considered a rank amateur on the circuit. Don't know about anyone else but I would take Chuck Norris' opinion, one of the greatest fighters ever on the tournament circuit, against someone who never competed and we only have his word that he is a great fighter. (who also chickened out twice when Van Damme challenged him after he was bragging at a party about how he could beat him).
Of course Bruce Lee was a martial artist of extraordinary skill absolutely! That being said there are many unknowns with skill and ability that go beyond anything we've ever seen, and we'll never know them, they seek neither fame, fortune nor applause, there are limitless levels to martial arts.
Realistically, Bruce was the greatest teacher/coach of INNOVATION, FLEXIBILITY & FLUIDITY during his era. There are masters that have vibrational skills that Bruce either never focused on, or never displayed, but Bruce did one major thing that he was SUPREME at: He was 100%+ PRACTICAL fighting skills whereas 99.99% of those before him were constrained by adherence to the limitation of their styles. Bruce was the BEST at what he did, and his public display of effectiveness was SUPERIOR to the martial artists who met him. Masters & Grandmasters learned more from Bruce that he them. In a twist of irony, the ONLY person Bruce sparred TWICE (per Bruce) with JKD and did not beat is Yip Man, because Yip Man knew Bruce so well as his student-son Bruce couldn't trick him. Bruce was 3-5x quicker than old Yip Man, but Yip Man was arguably one of the greatest at DISTANCE CONTROL & POSITIONING during his time, and you can not hit something that is outside of your strike. Bruce was greater in KNOW HOW , SPEED & CONDITIONING than EVERYONE he met. However, Yip Man was greater than Bruce in DISTANCE CONTROL & POSITIONING, thus Bruce acknowledged Yip Man "could not be beaten" by him because he "knew" Bruce. #Respect. When Bruce was on his way to sparr Yip Man the 3rd time with his new discoveries in JKD that might beat Yip Man's DISTANCE & POSITIONING level, Yip Man had passed away. I do think if Bruce and Yip had sparred the 3rd time, and Bruce would have outsmarted Yip's DISTANCE & POSITIONING, Bruce would humbly thank him for being his Master. I have 40+ years in structured martial arts, and Bruce Lee is the greatest fight coach I have ever seen, followed, and studied. #Period.
As an inspiration, and motivator, he was up there. But, he was only an actor, not a fighter. He never put his theories to test against a range of different styles, in a ring.
@@nifty1940 : Exactly. That is why I consider Bruce to be SUPERIOR COACH, a highly charismatic actor, but as a actual "fighter" there i s no actual foundation he was a superior fighter. Bruce sparred. He had squrmishes. He had skills under those conditions, but still a carreer of 👉#FIGHTING is non-existent. BOOTOM LINE: Bruce was just the GREATEST at being HIMSELF.
Listen The were plenty of behind the scene fights that were real via people who was there. Some said Bruce would fight anyone who challenged him off camera, and guess what. He won all of those fights. My father actually trained with Bruce lee and his master and has photos of all three of them together. And he has told me of the matches that happened in training that were other schools that Bruce had won. He was the real deal outside of movies and people who really knew him know. Peace everyone.
bs just like any other asian stars he needed to get to the top first to become international recogniced name me an nobody from asia who had a big career in movies starting in america

OH OK, I GET UR THEORY.. BUT ISN'T PRACTING AND SPARING IN THE MARTIAL ARTS, IS REALLY PRACTICING FIGHTING? OF COURSE THEY HAVEN'T BEEN IN AN ACTUAL FIGHT OF WINNING A TITTLE SHOT, BUT STILL, I ALWAYS THOUGHT PRATICING MARTIAL ARTS IS FIGHTING WITH DIFFERENT TECHNIQUES IS FIGHTING.. THAT'S Y I WAS CALLING BRUCE AND STEVEN, FIGHTERS...😁😁
I GOT THE IMPRESSION THAT THE MAN SAID, A MARTIAL ARTIST AND AN ACTOR.. THAT'S 2 DIFFERENT FIELDS.. AND THE MAN ALSO EXPLAING THAT BOTH ARE MARTIAL ARTISTS.. PRACTICING HOW TO FIGHT... CUZZ63..
OK, WHEN I WAS A KID, I USE TO SPAR IN TAE KWON DO.. AND THAT WAS PRACTICING THE TECHNIQUE WHICH PREPARING FOR A FIGHT THAT EITHER WAS IN A TOURNAMENT OR A REAL EVENT.. IT HELP ME DEFEND MYSELF WHEN I WAS A KID IN A REAL FIGHT.. SO MAYBE IT DOESN'T HELP EVERYBODY IN A FIGHT.. BUT IT MIGHT DEPENDS ON WHO U STUDY FROM OR BOOKS.. BECAUSE THERE ARE A LOT OF BOOKS ON MARTIAL ARTS AND REALLY IT'S NOT THE SAME AS GETTING TAUGHT BY A GOOD INSTRUCTOR.. SO, IN A FIGHT, MARTIAL ARTS WILL HELP IF U STUDY IT WELL AND LOTS OF PRACTICE.. OR DOING KATA... cuzz63
cuzz63 WING CHUN WAS AN ART MADE FOR WOMEN, BUT VERY AFFECTIVE... CAUSE I KNEW A GUY WAS REAL GOOD AT IT.. I SPARED WITH HIM A COUPLE OF TIMES AND HE TAUGHT ME A LITTLE ABOUT THE ART.. I THINK IT'S A VERY DEADLY ART IF THE PERSON REALLY KNOWS IT.. IP MAN, WAS SUPPOSED TO BE BRUCE'S FIRST MARTIAL ART INSTRUCTOR ... THAN AFTER THAT, HE STUDY, TAEKWONDO, JUDO, KEMPO KARATE, WHICH WAS ED PARKER.. AND WHATEVER, ELSE I'M NOT FOR SURE.. HE WAS A TYPE OF DUDE THAT JUST TRADE, SPAR AND SHARE MOVES WITH OTHER MARTIAL ARTIST.. LIKE AN EXAMPLE.. THE GUY HE FOUGHT WITH NUNCHUKS, IN THE MOVIE, GAME OF DEATH, TAUGHT BRUCE HOW TO FIGHT WITH NUNCHUKS.. THAT'S WHY HE WAS SOO BAD ASS WITH THE WEAPON.. BRUCE WAS JUST A FULL-TIME PHILOPHER AND MARTIAL ARTIST THAT HE USE BOTH IN HIS WAY OF LIFE.. ESPECIALLY, HOW HE WAS EXPLAINING HIS THERORY ABOUT FIGHTING..😁
Steve Segal only damages his own credibility by making a statement that Bruce was far from being the best. Even non-martial artist recognize the skill and physics ability Bruce Lee possessed. He created his own martial art, Jeet Kane Do, which was recognized by Black Belt Magazine, as was Bruce Lee for his accomplishments as a martial arts master while still in his twenties no less. Anyone who has studied Bruce Lee knows that his knowledge was extensive and he was a true student of the arts. He studies many styles and incorporated many techniques into his art, Jeet Kune Do, for the simple reason that they were effective. His physical skill is unmatched in my view. There were many greats in Bruce’s time such as Bill Wallace, who was a fantastic kicker and a champion point fighter a full contact world champion. Joe Lewis was another great. They are also unmatched in their skills in their own ways, but when it comes to the blinding speed and exactness I don’t think even Bill Wallace was quite as impressive even though he was so incredible himself, as was Joe Lewis, Benny Urquidez, Mike Stone and others. I just feel Bruce was in a class all by himself in the speed and exactness of his strikes and kicks. I wish that Bruce could have lived long enough to have spent time exchanging ideas with these greats and others like the Gracies sooner than the 1990’s. I’m of the mind that he would have included much more grappling into JKD as a result of the fantastic body of knowledge of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Imagine if Bruce had met the creator of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Helio Gracie, in the early or mid 70’s. What that kind of expansion of martial arts knowledge could have resulted? I have had often wondered what it would have been like if Bruce Lee had met and trained with the likes of Helio or Rickson. What a fantastic idea. But in all my time in martial arts I’ve never spent a single moment wondering what it would be like for Steven Segal to exchange ideas with other martial arts masters. He is just not at that level. And because to me he is the inferior martial artist (to Lee and Gracie) he should not be criticizing those whose skill and knowledge surpass his own to such an incredible degree. If he was truly wise he would just shut up, bow out and move along instead of embarrassing himself.
Bruce Lee is a martial icon very inspirational and has influence past, present, and future generations not many could say that including respectively Steven Seagal.
You are a true new world order martial artist, you are water my friend. your mind will never stop searching for more knowledge and skills just like Bruce Lee. No art is above or beneath you and Bruce Lee
You are quite right. Bruce Lee was and will always be remembered as the best. Stephen Segal is a great guy, but he would not accept Bruce being better than him. Bruce was one of a kind. 👍
Nothing need to be said. Seagal career is 6 Ft under. Bruce maybe 6 ft under, but he is still shining his star In Hollywood and Hong Kong. No one can dispute that.
thanks Mike, i appreciate your feedback.
🙏🖤👊☯️
@@JamesAllenJr if you recall Marvin Hagler when he was boxing in any match whenever he had an opponent hurt he would go in for the kill in other words he would punish his opponent with a barrage of punches and trust me Hagler being a true middleweight boxer with the power he had in his punches would have seriously hurt Leonard and if you remember when those 2 fought what did Hagler do when he had Leonard hurt twice he didn't do like he usually does and no one all of a sudden changes the way they fight if they had not been paid to lose a fight

You're actually wrong jcvd didnt do shit he was scared of seagal ... lmfao!
I dont know anything about a club challenge but I saw and heard all that took place at stallones party and its all sadly true about segal

indeed, he was not only a great artist, a great martial artist, a philosopher, a film-maker, and writer but he also could be considered as the father of Kick-Boxing, father of MMA, brought the modern routine for work-out with protein shakes and many other new types of equipment for fitness and training.

Steven Seagal is such a liar! He only met Bruce Lee when he rented VHS "The Game of Death," and he said, "Hello Bruce, I'm watching your movie. "

I do agree with you, he was the best known at the time.
Now you starting to get my point right? Lee was not THERE YET but he was already on another LEVEL.

I enjoy segal's movies, and he has skills, but Bruce Lee had a charisma, style and magnetism; a self belief that took my breath away in the early 80's. He already is a footnote. An arrogant schmuck!
U got my vote / Bruce Lee will always be my hugest encrougement , thanks Bruce Lee boy o man o.
Haha hugest is not an English word
You cannot say he was the greatest artist, because art cannot be measured...Who was the greatest musician, Mozart, Bach, Beethoven...? the greatest painter Da Vinci, Michelangelo, Vermeer ?? Same with martial art !!
the real question is, why does anyone care what steven seagal says?
Because there's enough morons that will actually believe his bullshit.
bruce lee put martial arts and steven seagal on the map so steven seagal is making another absurd statement to boost his image and his name! unfortunately for steven seagal and others who have tried to boost their images and names by bashing bruce lee it is backfiring! also bruce lee openly shared his life and his teaching with everyone and steven seagal is very private and has been involved in so many strange and controversial experiences and stories! i would not have ever had any interest in martial arts based on steven seagal's martial arts abilities or his movies! steven seagal is an example of someone who learned how to fight and used his fighting ability to cause chaos everywhere he goes! thank you for your videos brother teacher! your videos are accurate and you are a great role model!
100%!
CHM - that is true! most if not all of the stories about Steven Seagal are weird or bizarre!
Segal done lost his damn mind!
I will slap da shit out of Steven segal with a vegetable hogie..4 saying that shit.
Exactly
Micheal johnson he been lost his fucking mind bruce lee was one bad man the baddest of all time
@@shirleyharris9789 Agreed Shirley
Bruce Lee was the very best I had ever seen or been moved by.
You are right my friend Bruce influence the west but true martial skills are in the east go to the temples of the east they have real masters
If it wasn't for Bruce Lee all of these misrule arts movie stars would not be known period
Totally agree shawny.
Exactly especially Jackie Chan he was in Bruce Lee movie Enter the dragon
I have studied Bruce Lee for 39 years&other martial artists or fighters, nobody was as good as Bruce Lee,he didn't compete because he did not care about trophies&medals,he cared about whether or not if he could kick your ass in a street fight, defending himself or anyone else for whatever giveth reason&yes he could&did",nobody stood a chance against Bruce Lee in a for real fight period
Thank you Steve
@@reginaldstroud1123 your welcome
Bruse Lee that man is one of a kind... Seagal is full of shit.... And we all know the truth. My dedication stays with Bruce Lee. Ask yourself this how come no other human being on Earth could do what he did no one has broke the world records he has set. There's no other human being on Earth like him that man is in a class all on his own.
Steven seagal looks like that fat japenese guy Bruce Lee killed in the movie The Chinese Connection ...
the promise man Brandon Lee could wipe on the floor
. Steve ass trust me. that why he never came out. because everyone else would want to fight him .. thanks
Steven Seagal is a black belt, nothing more. He can probably beat down some fat good ole boys but that's about it. I think that any member of the Russian Special Forces could waste Fatso Seagal.
Steven I respect you but stating that is wrong. Mr Lee is the ultimate master of martial arts RIP
If you watch “Enter the Dragon” Lee really projects himself. His warmth and his caring of people really comes across in that movie.
this is bullshit Bruce was 1 of a kind The Greatest
Dwann Brown was he the greatest fighter?
Thank you Brad. That was my point, he was the best that surfaced in the public, that's all we have to go with.
I like how you worded you statement. Much appreciated
Look up the conversation between Steven Stegal and Bob Wall, who was in at least 3 of Bruce's movies, Bob wahl challenged Stegal. .....
Lost all respect for Steve
you lost respect because of some guy who made up shit about what Steven said? Damn sheeple you are gullible
volkbyte the hell steve been talking shit for years.
Steven is trying to stay relevant..
Yes, sometimes people feel they have to make waves to remain relevant as you say. Thanks for the feedback.
You mean fat
He is a fat moron.

A man knows what he knows... you on the other hand only think you know.
Steven Seagal lost his f---ing mind.
Let's not forget seagal shit himself when can Damme challenged him at Stallone's house
Of course Bruce Lee was a martial artist of extraordinary skill absolutely! That being said there are many unknowns with skill and ability that go beyond anything we've ever seen, and we'll never know them, they seek neither fame, fortune nor applause, there are limitless levels to martial arts.
This guy is a great commentator. He knows his stuff and knows so much about Bruce Lee. 👍😃✌
Bruce Lee is still the best and he’s no faking martial arts
Thank you
Totally agree with that.
Seagal said he met Bruce and that was a lie
I agree totally, and thank you.
Lee did do the hard work, real skill.
Brucelee was d man who pave d way 4 segal n all others to big screens of hollywood...😎😆💪
So true. Just ask Jackie Chan.
bs just like any other asian stars he needed to get to the top first to become international recogniced
name me an nobody from asia who had a big career in movies starting in america
Vic Moore stated Bruce was a actor . that says it all , they always wait till someones dead then the crap comes out ,
Steven's statements are unrealistic. Steven Seagal and Vic Moore are similar
I think that Steven Seagal is not carrying a full deck in my opinion
I HAVEN'T SEEN ANYBODY INVENTED LIKE THE ONE-INCH PUNCH LIKE BRUCE LEE.. HE WAS A FULL TIME MARTIAL ARTIST AS WELL AS A GREAT PHILOSOPHER.. STEVEN SEGAL IS A GREAT FIGHTER, BUT HE IS NO BRUCE LEE...😁😁😁
THEN, WHAT ARE THEY IF THEY ARE NOT FIGHTERS??
You mean the same guy tho ran from Van Damme?
Very true
This is like asking if Mike Tyson could be Sylvester Stallone! lol
You are a true new world order martial artist, you are water my friend. your mind will never stop searching for more knowledge and skills just like Bruce Lee. No art is above or beneath you and Bruce Lee
I am so very humbled by your kind words, and i thank you very much. -brother teacher

This adulation is bordering on flatulation. Loved him as an ACTOR, though.
Seagal lost credibility long ago , egomaniac 👎
You are quite right. Bruce Lee was and will always be remembered as the best. Stephen Segal is a great guy, but he would not accept Bruce being better than him. Bruce was one of a kind. 👍
Yes he was zamir, thank you
