I'm like 90% sure you could never glitch inside a foundation with a ladder hatch, that was only on build servers.
Yeah i mean who knows. Most bugs get hotfixed immediately anyways so if these worked on vanilla it was most likely only for 1 week.
@@Drizzza btw keep up the grind, good consistency
Ty for the support all these years 🙏🙏🙏
Anticheat.false or turned off antitank for build mods
It did work on some servers, im no dev and dont know but it had something to do with what version of something the server was running. cuz IceFuse bases were only that for a bit, then they updated something.
My favorite glitch was with the old caves...you could go under the map from inside the caves ,fall into the water under the map , swim the whole map and see where people was hidding the stashes and you could see and enter inside bases from under the foundations. If there were bases built near or on rocks, you could jump into people's bases from under the foundation. You could also build your base on the rocks below the map. I spent a lot of time in bases built below the map level!
Best one I remember was going to Russian servers and living in the walls of caves and when they came to make their base in the cave, I stole their loot through the cave walls...I remember a clan of 15 Russians made a base in the cave and I robbed them continuously for a month 😂
Oh damn
Some awesome nostalgia in there lol. I miss them but I'm also glad "most" have been fixed lol. Can't wait for more in this new series :)
Yeah imagine if ppl still could do some of these. Id cri
Awesome job Drizzza! This video was super well done. The foundation exploit brought back the memories from Rust Legacy where people were living in side roof panels, that could be stacked forever, making them almost impossible to raid, these small glitches were a lot of fun while they lasted lol. Earned my sub on this one, keep it up man!
Ty ty 🙏 The exploit i miss the most was when you could seal a bus stop base and teleport thru the wall with a chair. Good times.
in legacy, i figured out that you could change 1 character in the text files for wall textures seeing as the game only did a checksum to verify the integrity of the texture file. When you log in, you could see through all the walls. This also allowed you to clip into walls, where you could finesse a sleeping bag to spawn you on the other side of a "structural" boundary where the game would recognize the impossibility of your location. You could then spawn at the bag and get through the wall. With enough time, you could get through peoples bases 2 minutes per wall.
Wtf lmao thats crazy
"if i cant abuse it, i dont use it"
this is a quote ive pretty much started using whenever i talk about the rust playerbase. because the majority of the people who play this game, will deliberately go out of there way to break the game to, as you said, get an advantage. its part of the reasons recoil patterns were so popular, because it was ridiculously easy to abuse and made non automatic weapons obsolete, because why would you send say, a semi-auto rifles 40 damage bullets down range when you can send an AKs 50 damage bullets, 30 of them, in 4 seconds down range and hit EXACTLY where you were aiming no matter how far away you were, even at SNIPER range
Fax
It is a crime that the 0000 code lock bug that cursed rust for an entire week is not on here
Im doing more parts to this series in the future
I've had PC rust since 2017 but only recently started seriously playing it. I've got roughly 1,200 hrs on console though. Console had some wild glitches. Some wilder than what's in this video. In early console rust, there were multiple launch site glitches. There were some windows you could jump straight through to get into the puzzle without a keycard. Then there was the sleeping glitch where a specific place on top of the building didn't have rads and u could log off to reset the puzzle and then loot it again. Another glitch that wasn't specific to launch (but helped) was where if you stood on someone's head and they jumped, you would both start to levitate upward as long as you both kept jumping. You could fly up on top of launch, bases, anything. People would do this with boom over layers of compound walls to raid (no minis in game). The first wipe of console rust you couldnt craft any gunpowder, so everyone bought grenades for gp. Then there was a recoil glitch where I think if you shot a certain number of bullets at once, your gun would magically have no recoil at a time when recoil was very hard to master. Since console rusts initial state was roughly equivalent to 2018 on pc, all of the OP building strats were also possible. I also remember using chairs and stuff to get under rocks and stuff. The only servers available were official so ofc there were no active admins and u could abuse any exploit without punishment. There are probably more but its been a while.
nice video, the glitch with the horse where you could loot behind the wall was there for a long time, they fixed it really few weeks ago, it's amazing how there are bugs that have been there until now, well done facepunch.. xd
Sometimes bugs are very hard to fix especially on unity
I lived in a whole ass mountain on Helix 2x monthly, it wasn’t even really an exploit there was just a chunk of the map that never loaded i guess. I definitely caused some grief 😂
Unlocking any codelock by by typing in 3 numbers and then the last number + C very quickly. Could laso have been just 3 nubmers +C not too sure anymore.
what is crazy is that the flying glitch, the hores glicht and the glitch into foundation things always resurface after being patched
most op glitch that used to be in the game, was being able to jump on off a wooden door blueprint. Back when doors were placed using the building plan, if u just held the door out with the blue indicator, its just the guide like the doors not even placed or in the world you could jump off of it and since its you holding the door out ti follows you and u can just fly around and jump up to everyones roof. This was back when ppl thought their roof was untouchable and the only way up was the glorious 6-10 man pyramids ppl used to do. but once ur base was high enough u thought u were safe as fuck and this door jump think busted it all open
Edit: had to find a video showing what i mean since its hard to explain th-cam.com/video/ngcni-qjgT4/w-d-xo.html
Thats a deep cut
That was awesome! Thanks for the great history.
🙏🙏🙏
Back when guest codes were added to codelocks in 2017 there was an exploit where if you spammed 0000 in the codelocks screen you'd get guest access to the lock. It was so bad that FP had a second forcewipe the day after the exploit was discovered.
😂😭😂
ohh bro the old bug where u could remove water just by spamming a command that you binded
Hey man, I like the video concept, one thing I'd say is, less of a "rant" style and more of just explaining how it used to be would be easier to listen to.
can you do a video on old building techniques I remember people used to build 1x2's in the metal shack at hqm quarry and even really old rust were people used to build ontop of dome
I used so many of those that you showed lolllll the best times of Rust !!!
Truely
@@Drizzza Back in the days , you could build on roads, in bus stops, dome etc etc, bears could attack you through your base foundations, was some yelling trees too ... cant remember them all there was too many lolll
Chair + ladder + fire Place = insane pillbox
No need to apologize...we've all done it or experienced at one point another...afterall, it's Rust!
🙏🙏🙏
there was a bug that lets you see small stashes that are underground using the drone
Wtf thats broken lmaoooo
@@Drizzza yea it's crazy if you want to see a video of this bug Memeio made a video about it the title is
Rust Stash Glitch = Free Loot
🙏
Don't forget the bug where you could open any code lock by submitting and canceling at the same time or something like that
Lmfao yeah i remember that one
Cargo silobone glitch for sure
And to think, this could have all been fixed by making it so if your in a solid foundation or an objext, you take suffication damage
Good series.
Im excited for it to flesh out over time🙏🙏🙏
10 years ago you you could use a third person view and see through the walls
💀
great video :)
🙏🙏🙏
Oh the history😉
An easy solution to like glitching inside foundations is to make offline Time on officials for Example on eu servers from 12 am Till like 8 pm
These are old bugs from years ago
i still use the chair method. use to do it with the sign.
😂😂😂 it was the best on the old bus stop bases
The horses an the ladder exploit got reimplemented intp robust the previous force wipe
😭😭😭
Build 7 or another doorframes into 2 squares at halfround
still remember discovering the boat glitch and glitching through peoples walls lol
Omg i forgot about that 😂
@@Drizzza if you want i can show you a bunch of working glitches i found years ago that still work E.G arrow dupe glitch n stuff
Ty but im not interested in glitches that still work. You should report them to the devs in the rust discord.
They patched the head through wall when u f1 glitch?
Saw dirtrider and kcmo use a truck inside a base to suck prople into a trap
memeio inside a tree stump
floating shotgun trap
water glitch
dirtrider and the infinite poop glitch
attack thru a door while sitting on a couch
jump off a horse at the edge of safe zone and can carry a weapon into outpost
Those are all good ones. Trying to remember some older ones too tho
Motorcycles are comming in July, can't wait for all the new exploits 🤣
😂😭😂
Man I hope not they completely bricked horses trying to fix them
god i miss wall and floorstacking
We got wide gaps instead now 😭
you still can floor and wall stack, those wide gaps can be adjusted depending on how many squares and half moons you build out and back in with
Ark players: First time?
😂
Can they patch the hackers ?
Wow!
Do we really have to explain why Rust players are constantly trying to get inside of things? Classic overcompensation
😂😂😂
solo keylock bruteforce
raiding with snowballgun exploit
Loool what?!
6:08 still works XD
Man the game used to look so much cleaner
Snow machine plus cave 😊
Oh Yeah that was good
when the game still good
😭😭😭
Btw. If you have discord I have something current and WILD exploit to show you lol
I had a name with emojis in it and it crashed people got so much loot with it😂 was around 2018 btw
That's hilarious
😭😭😭
Why do you sound so emotional 😂
It was like 100 degrees in my room while recording this lmfao
gg my g
you forgot about riding boats under the map

quality content, keep grinding, you gonna blow up
🙏🙏🙏
Its all because of unity
REPORTED LOL

The one day someone discovered a console command to spawn infinite C4 in 2016 🥲
😂😂😂
