Paul Daley winning his final fight was a beautiful thing and the way he did it showed why he has been around so long❤❤ the icing on the cake was when Mama daily came in and helped him celebrate❤❤❤❤❤

Damage is the criteria to win. That’s a travesty that MVP damaged way more then Storley did with non high amplitude take downs with Zero damaging shots. Judging was horrible by the two judges felt like MVP being held down lost!!! Horrible for the sport. MVP won. The shiner was the proof he caused and why he won. I am not a fan of horrible judging. Who won? MVP. Being held down was not winning. It’s waiting for the cops to show up. A fights objective is to damage the opponent not hold them down and win a world title in mma. Wrestling is a different sport. MMA is not wrestling. Oh well MVP will fight another day. Tomorrow if he wanted to. Sigh.

I totally agree. It drives me nuts to see a guy lay on top of another and do little soft punches to the stomach and do just enough to keep the referee from standing them up. I wish they would change rule's for that.
The rule needs to be if your not throwing punches in a way that your opponent is reacting then stand them up, honestly, if im a ref and mfs just laying and praying doing the bare minimum yall getting stood up

Yea that was awful. MVP won that fight clearly. Storley did zero damage to him. Also was unsuccessful to get to a dominant position on the ground. Never got close to a submission and only did a little bit of damage at the end of the first round. MVP got robbed.

Storely defiantly stuck to his game, it’s mixed martial arts not standup not wrestling not karate it’s everything and you use whichever ones suits the opponent on the night anyone who complains about that get in the ring and if wrestling saves you from getting your head caved in I guarantee you’ll use it.
I fully agree with what you are saying. Even in wrestling there is a thing called STALLING. ZERO STRIKS ZERO SUBMISSION ATTEMPTS ZERO SLAMS ZERO THROWS. I THINK THERE IS A STRONG CASE THAT STORLEY JUST STALLED FOR 25 MIN. HE ALMOST EVEN ADMITS IT AT THE END HE KNEW HE COULDNT BE HIM SO HE JUST TOOK HIM DOWN AND RAN THE CLOCK OUT.

If your strategy is to Stall for 25 min and cause zero damage, no slams no submission attempts because you know you can't win another way. Stalling isn't fighting or wrestling.

Storley didn’t win this fight now even close. He just tried to get to a dominate position on the ground the whole time and failed to do so and do any damage to MVP. He barely touched MVP the whole fight. Highway robbery and this shows that the scoring criteria can still be flawed when it comes to fights like this. Just watch the fight and tell me who do you think won.
I hate when fighters just wrestlefuck the whole time. I like grappling if something is happening (ground and pound or submission attempts), but I don’t like a 25 min hugging session.
They need to change the rules about continuing to strike an opponent until the referee stops them. If a fighter can clearly see their opponent is totally unconscious, they need to be required to stop sticking them, whether the referee stops them or not. Some of these after-strikes are uncalled for, undefended, and seriously dangerous for the fighter receiving the undefended strikes. If you disagree, I hope someone smashes your face while you are unconscious. Then you will understand.
