    What a wonderful cat. There were a couple of times she licked her lips. She picked up on the calmness from the both of you. Would like a report on how she does.

    My vet has two vets trained in chiropractic practice. My cat, Monk is 14 years old. He has stress induced FUS but it hasn't flared up since we moved last year. He has some arthritis, but after my vet put him on supplements he rarely shows pain, though he had some over the winter. In any case, since Kansas is a bit far from New York I will try getting him some adjustments with them before winter returns. My vet did say that both vets have been successfully treating cats as well as dogs, rabbits, etc.

    Prudence is so gorgeous 😍 I loved the way you carefully and respectfully handled her adjustment 💖 One of my cats Checkers had a neurological illness suddenly come on three weeks ago, head tilt at 45°, walking in circles, a funny tic of looking over his shoulder. His symptoms went very fast after I got him to a different vet but I'm aware that's not normally the case and it can come back. He is also blind in one eye, had his front leg broken and damage to his pelvis before I met him and then he has two screws in his back leg from a dog attack. Eight of my nine cats are former feral colony so they all look out for each other, much of his recovery is down to his feline friends supporting him. I wish he could see you but New York is just a tad too far from Yorkshire 😔

      I think there’s an animal chiropractor working in Cumbria/Yorkshire area. When I was around Kendal earlier this year I saw a van around there. If you google it you probably could track them down. I noticed ‘cause I’ve been watching this Chanel and hadn’t realised we had animal chiropractors here in uk too. I hope you get help for your cat 🐈

    I have a 23 month old Border Collie / Australian Shepherd mix. At around 5 months old, his head started shaking side to side, several days in a row, for no apparent reason.
    I put him on a CBD oil for 3 months, which stopped them. I took him off of the oil and within a couple of weeks he had another episode.
    I decided to massage his neck area, right behind his ears, just pushing gently around that prominence of the occipital bone. That did the trick.
    He hasn't had another one since.
    I try to check on his neck muscle tightness every month or so to make sure he's not holding in stress.

      Yeah I've never seen this done on a cat before and all of my experience with cats in the past is that you can't do anything with them that they don't want to do and will swipe you if they don't like it. I've never seen a cat sit so still for an examination😂 with our cats, when you have to go TO the vet, you can't get them in the cage. And when you are AT the vet you can't get them outta there...

    • @fleetskipper1810
      @fleetskipper1810 3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      You can tell that this cat has been handled with respect, and you can see the trust she has in her owner. When a cat bonds with an owner like that, they will let a vet do a lot.

    Put tiny wt’s on her tiny feet. I had a patients who had Ataxia, put 3#wt’s on her feet (bilateral) and what a change. When ever I need a lift, I watch you Dr. Doug Willen, I learn a bit and laugh allow. The Chicken cracked me up.... no pun, referring to eggs. 😂. Dang, I missed my calling, I would have loved to have worked with animals, although, I loved my human patients. Dang, I wish we could turn back time. Thx for your vids, I love learning!

      Hi Bonnie, I'm not sure what are WT's. Could you clarify please? Are they little grip pads? Thanks for connecting. Great to have you here. I'm glad I cracked you up with the video of Blanche the chicken!!

    Whenever I see this title I misread the condition as "ataraxia" and I think "man, what a lucky cat, must live a really chill life."

    Prudence is a lovely cat, and I am sure she feels better after her treatment with Dr. Doug. My 14-year-old cat Mitzi (Goldilocks) (short-hair gold&grey stripes) sends her greetings and well wishes.

    Love how gentle you are with them, she was a good girl, mine would have bit your face 😁. Great video and loved your funny walk, even though you were being serious . Would love for you to see my Oscar who has a back injury but we a little to far away in the UK 🙂
