Today's Back Session: Deadlifts and Pullups!

  • Trying a new format for Tuesday Back work. Start with deads and then wrap it up with pulls. Was consider some Australian pulls but after the 4th set of pulls my grip was absolutely dusted. No complaints, it was a great feeling session. (Except for the grip, lol.)

    It's weird, the way you talked about getting into deadlifts is just how I was describing it to one of my workmates today! I've been at it maybe three weeks now and keeping the weight low for now, but it makes my back feel great and stronger already...i'm hoping to mitigate my on-going kinda chronic low back pain/issues and seems to be working well so far. I've also added on kettlebell swings maybe six months ago which rock my low back and glutes(not to mention the cardio conditioning aspect), and combined with 3-4 miles of treadmill incline jogging and my fitness gains are steady coming along!
