Hi, thought I would mention a small error in how you made your staircase access to the beach. Staircases are NEVER built as one continuous set of stairs. There is ALWAYS a landing or break in the staircase, for every half storey of elevation to the stairs. This isn't for appearance, it's a mandatory safety feature written into the building code of virtually every modern country. Its purpose is to prevent a person from falling down an entire staircase, which could be many stories long, by providing a place where a body's decent will be stopped in case of an accident. The way your staircase is built it is plausible that a person tripping at the top of the staircase would not stop falling until they reach the bottom and likely be killed or seriously injured. Landings would prevent this which is why even short spans of stairs have breaks or landings built in. I've been watching a lot of Cities Skylines streams lately and everyone makes this same mistakes the same error giving the project a less realistic look and feel. The only possible reason to emit these landings would be if the stairs are extremely old and have never been updated to meet modern building codes. Usually, in Canada and the US, this is referred to as Grandfathering in. Since this error is so common I thought I should mention it to more people.
So basically...if one were to fall down say 30 concrete stairs, one could essentially have only half the broken bones as opposed to falling down 60 concrete stairs.Brilliant.
You should still call the area something like "College Hill" or "Artists Hill", implying that the old, historic college was located there. Maybe it was damaged by an earthquake or something like that and then moved to gain access to the land for more profitable development.
I don’t comment very often, but i have to say that this series of this california inspired city is simply gorgeous. I’m watching your videos with open mouth and i’m just impresed by your work. Great job and keep it going👍🏻👍🏻
Amazing build! I'm bothered by that staircase to the beach though. It's usually made of two or more staircases and landings between them, considering the cliff's height and inclination. A straight one feels a bit unrealistic to me.
This series kinda got me hooked on DJ Quads's music but on Spotify instead. Really calming music and it is unique to any other. Good series and hope the next project is just as good as this one!
Why not make those mansions into fraternity and sorority houses? I know that the houses nearest our campus are often either owned by the University or are offered for rent through the residence life dept, some are owned/leased by the greek organizations affiliated with the university. The main reason my university holds on to houses near the campus is to eventually buy out a street and allow for expansion. which is easy since the occupants are staying there on a semester basis.
Pres: removed a college Me: wow you spent a lot of time on that Earlier Pres: removed an airport Me after watching that video: *GKSKTEJTLGSBCMHFKYDJFWGDKHCLHTLUFGKEGMRGKDKGDHKXYLFLURKTSHLCJLFLHDKGDGKDHLFKYEKTEMGEJTWHRQVE1GE1DBQTN3MUTUOLOITMIRMYEYBEVDQVDW9UDHQIDHC0IQENFQ0IRNC* Edit: there's a point where too slow of camera movements becomes as bad as playing on 200 on speed slider with 10x speed on the final product
Pres, why cover up all the green grass? These mansions are sure to have lawn maintenance that makes sure their grass/ flowers/ bushes/ trees are well watered and taken care of. Its not strange to see a yard in a dry area have beautiful green grass, definitely mansions. But loved the build :)
Jdb B well if the high school was build there decades ago and just renovated from time to time? Real estate prices only exploded in the last 20 to 30 years Also it’s California... they don’t care about that stuff
Beautiful detailing. Great idea with the detailing of these mansions which have some weird textures. I understand you probably wont care about this opinion but the music is weird. I dont like it at all. I find that music very annoying :D
i think the third one is either going to be a chinese city/town or a scandinavian town/town (two towns becauce no city in scandinavia are big enough to be a real city)
Sir, your videos are a dangerously high source of dopamine.
true

@@garyortolano7374 Exactly
AND?!!!
I like this build much better, this is prime real estate, a college wouldn't pay for that kind of land (usually)
A drive through this neighbourhood would be amazing

Love the detail work around the cliffs and how you used those mansion assets. Looks really really awesome!

Congrats on 20K dude, love those cliff houses
*when video game avatars live better than you*
**consistently over multiple games**
Those 'smaller mansions' would probably go for about 900k to 1.5 million in that location, in my hometown that would buy about 4 city blocks!
The old Keralis law 12:20 bushes make everything better

best cities skylines youtuber!hands down
It looks great pres wish I could build like that

Wow. I initially thought the beginning of the video were real video footage.

The grass was too dark compared with the grass textures I’ve got unfortunately
Yes yes yes! Was already missing it ;)
Hello! Good episode!
Very beautiful man. Nice
I was actually listening to the weather guy in the music..
Me too its soo satisfying
Awesome video as always! I always get stressed out when someone announces a new build, I always think they’ll do the same theme I do lol.

Man I Love your videos.. Im still trying to get there but I gotta get this PC upgraded it seems to get where your at...
I think a that peninsula would be an unrealistic spot for a big high school anyways because the land value would be super high there
Jdb B well if the high school was build there decades ago and just renovated from time to time?
Real estate prices only exploded in the last 20 to 30 years
Also it’s California... they don’t care about that stuff
What wall is that you used to lead down to the beach? I can not find a wall that the move it mod will raise or lower
Which mod do you use to Place the fences or hedges?
Wish I could build that bro
Oh man i love it! Also... I have a suggestion for ya ;)
What about do a "science museum / park" thing in the hills? Like a... observatory maybe?
Do a British one
Hi, sorry but what MODS do you have to put does beautiful houses? I'd love to use them to
I found a song that matches Calavera beach and it’s called California by delta spirit
Pillow man doesn’t really match the chill vibe of Calavera beach
00:00 wave in Cities Skylines? What's mod?

SERP
For new Windsor can you please make a hotel and resort area
that’s what we’re doing pretty soon
oh i thought you meant in calavera beach - yea idk if new windsor will get a resort we’ll see
Hey SERP
I think u should make the steps a bit curved...it would look more real
i think the third one is either going to be a chinese city/town or a scandinavian town/town (two towns becauce no city in scandinavia are big enough to be a real city)
Is Canada fake or real🥴
