    So do soft chambers have a benefit or is it just a myth?
    One of my main goals in all of the work that we're doing, especially this TH-cam channel, is to deal with a lot of the myths and misconceptions about hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
    I believe that hyperbaric oxygen is one of the most powerful tools that any of us might have in our toolbox to really help patients in so many different cases.
    However, it remains one of the most underutilized tools out there, and I believe that the biggest reasons are because people don't fully understand what it is, and how it works, and also due to these myths that persist in the industry, creating confusion and making doctors or other health care practitioners reluctant to recommend it or use it in their practices.
    So let’s discuss one of the biggest myths out there: Soft hyperbaric chambers don’t work.

    I have used HBOT twice a month before I recently purchased a Vitaries 320 with oxygen concentrator and cooler. I am now 5 days on 2 days off for 1 hour each session at home. This protocol in that soft-sided chamber has unquestionably resulted in improved tissue oxygenation in my body. I have noticed substantial improved performance, better overall health, and general wellness. And I can cite real-world practical examples as proof. This in just 2 weeks' time. ...Wow! Yes. Absolutely, they work. And work well. I am sure the best benefits are yet to come, too.

Having got out in 69 there were no jobs in the NYC area. But your statement that it's been around for 300 yrs, I have to call you out on that. How was it administered 300 years ago? How are the soft chambers sanitized of all the bacteria and pathogens it has to collect from sick patients? It seems these contaminates would be more difficult to remove and a risk to the next patient than the hard ones, but maybe it's equally risky. I watched a cleaning video for the hard chambers from one of the manufacturers and it was frightening. Do the soft chambers have the same kind of exhalation exhaust as hard chambers and if yes, how are the exhausts sanitized? "Do the face mask, sitting up HBOT therapy clinics really work? Is the oxygen pressurized and how does that oxygen therapy compare to the chambers? Should not be treating 14 FDA approved indication with soft chamber mild pressure." What about severe anemia? Wouldn't that still help?

    The decision if 1.3 ATA chambers are efficient should not be by discussing physiology or gas laws, but by looking at double blind test studies. To the best of my knowledge consistent statistically significant results were reached only above 1.9 ATA. At 1.3 ATA the results were not conclusive. I will try to cite the meta analysis lateron.

    Any validity to the thought process of going to a clinic with a 2 ATA chamber w/O2 initially with the thinking that the mitochondria etc will open up better at the 2ATA pressure, THEN being able to follow up (or MAINTAIN) with a 1.3 ATA unit at home? I have a friend who’s been diagnosed with vascular dementia and we are looking for the best route to pursue a HBOT. A 20 hr session pkg of the 2ATA w/O2 chamber is $4k! I would love to put this $4000 towards the purchase of a 1.3, but hearing from providers that a 1.3 may not be enough pressure to stimulate a “change underway” in her brain, aka “ get things moving”. Your thoughts are appreciated. Thx for what you do!

    So, one thing not talked about in this video, is possible side effects at different pressures. I've read studies that indicate most side effects happen at 2ATM and above. In the UK, we generally have 1.5ATM soft chambers, so above the 1.3 that you mention. You mention that increase in pressure and increase in oxygen, means greater ATP output. But, surely there's a limit to how much more energy can be produced through just an increase in oxygen. Is this limit reached at a feed of 100% oxygen at 1.5ATM or maybe at 2ATM? How do they measure the mitochondrial response? I provide red light therapy bed and full Spectrum IR Sauna in my place in order to improve cellular energy and I recommend this prior to using HBOT in order to amplify the benefits. The next step is to provide a PEMF mat. Definitely more studies are required!

    • @lillylilly4518
      @lillylilly4518 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      interesting! Could you maybe go into more detail? So you rec first red light therapy/ IR Sauna, then HBOT followed by PEMF mat? was just thinking yesterday which flow would be the best. How long are you using each and much time to you pause without each session or do you just jump from IR to HBOT to PEMF without breaks?

    • @dheanan
      @dheanan 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's all about the cellular pathway of energy production within the cells. The light therapy assists with the third stage, cytochrome 3 production and the hyperbaric feeds the cell with high levels of oxygen to increase ATP energy produced by the cell. It is our of the other, or all right before oxygen therapy. The light therapies penetrate different levels so it's nice to mix. The pemf is just a proven option to do this before oxygen therapy.

I haven't needed a cortisone shot in years, and no longer take daily NSAIDS. I use it daily, without supplemental oxygen (for reasons of safety and expense)

    I doubt it would greatly increase superoxide. You would still be using a low amount of oxygen compared to exercise or sauna. The difference should be that more oxygen would be getting into small blood vessels, blood vessels where there is some resistance to flow, and tissues that oxygenate poorly like cartilage, and bone. And I disagree that if there was much more superoxide, that, that would be beneficial. If there is not a balance between superoxide dismutase and superoxide, a great deal of damage could result. But, like I said, I don't think that is what is happening.

    I have a question. please correct me if i am wrong. At sea level standing outside we live in one atmoshperic pressure ( 1 ATA ). In 1 ATA pressure there is about 21% oxygen that we breath. In a soft shell hyperbaric chamber it adds .3 or 30% more to 1 ATA pressure equalling 1.3 ATA.
    That 30% or .3 increase in 1 ATA pressure in a soft shell hyperbaric chamber only yields a 7% increase in oxygen not 30%.
    In other words in a soft shell Hyperbaric Chamber the total oxygen % at 1.3 atmospheric pressure is about 28%. Just a 7% increase of what we breath normally

    • @HBOTUSA
      @HBOTUSA  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      The % of oxygen in the air does not change with pressure (whether you're at 3 ATAs or way up in the mountains). Air is 21% oxygen. It's the pressure that drives how much oxygen you're able to absorb. At 1.3 ATA, you're able to absorb approx. 30% more oxygen, because that increased pressure dissolves additional oxygen into the plasma of your blood, which isn't possible at 1 ATA.

    Hello. I've been following all your videos and I have a personal soft chamber at home. 1 question that I cant find anywhere about HBOT is in relations to heavy metal. Im assuming that the o2 will increase cellular membrane voltage, which will pull the positive ions like mercury and lead outside the cell and into the blood, but usually, in a chealation therapy, you need a binding agent like dmsa, dmps, ala to bind to the toxins in the blood do.the kidneys can push it out. Im wondering if you had an opinion on this. I'm worried that doing hbot without taking a chealation agent will swish the mercury inside my body and dump it more into the brain. Would love your opinion on the subject

Low dose DMSA + ALA every 4 h for 56 hours then 4 days OFF, then repeat, but i'm worried that the dmsa, ala + HBOT will pull too many metals at the time, would that be too much?
      And if I do HBOT 1h a day (1.3 ATA at 90% O2), should I do a softer chelator, like bentonite clay, chlorella but do it everyday? Should I time the chelator 1h or 2 before I do my HBOT? This is not medical advice (you'd need to set up a consultation by emailing us at support@hbotusa.com for that), but generally speaking we typically treat chronic Lyme at lower pressures, like 1.5 ATA to 2.0 ATA, depending on the symptoms someone has. But soft chambers are not able to go to these pressures (they max out at 1.3 ATA). • @HBOTUSA
      @HBOTUSA  ปีที่แล้ว +5

      These are typically designed as flow through chambers meaning the compressor runs the entire length of the session and this helps the chamber vent unwanted gases throughout the session. There should not be a large increase in co2 inside the chamber if all the components are working well. Lastly the rise in co2 is specifically dangerous at a pressure of oxygen of 2.0 and greater as it increases the risk of oxygen toxicity. This is not the case at 1.3. Hope that helps!

    • @straxxxxxx

      Liquid in the ear canal means that your are dealing with severe dehydration due to lack of electrolytes, the ingredients in good quality salts. Liquids in the ear also means that you consume little or no salt in your foods and also that you din't know that it is essential to add good quality salt to all the beverages ingested every day for the rest of your life.
      Salt is an essential nutrient for anyone who wants to live a long, healthy and active life. Therefore you must salt your foods to taste and add small amounts of it to the water and other beverages ingested every day for as long as you live.

I was a triathlete previously so I know my heart rate. I am not on any medications. Before hbot still hr was 72. After second hbot its 90. I've never had that

    Logic flaw --a soft chamber offers 98% which is 5x o2 with a concentrator x 1.3 . Why did you not include concentrated o2 in your soft chamber example , hmmmmmm

    • @HBOTUSA
      @HBOTUSA  26 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I use examples like that on the other videos of course. In the case I was simply explaining the continuum of options from mild pressure air only through high pressure on 100% oxygen.
      Keep in mind that a concentrator is not 98%. It’s 94% +\• 3%. And when breathing that in a soft chamber at 10 liters you might be getting 85% of the 94% so it’s not going to be 5x. It’s still great but definitely not 5x. Maybe 2.5-3X max.

    I don't understand why you need the higher pressure - wouldn't just breathing O2 through a mask achieve the same thing much more cheaply? 🤔

    • @HBOTUSA
      @HBOTUSA  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Nope…. The whole thing is about pressure. Pressure drives oxygen. Check out our other videos. Lots to cover on that topic!

      Oxygen toxicity is a very specific condition that is predictable and can be calculated.
      Number one these particular chambers don’t use pure oxygen and number two even in chambers that do the exposures are not long enough to cause oxygen toxicity. I’ve done a number of videos on this topic. Feel free to take a look.

    I find it ridiculous that your selling something and have no clue or any evidence as to how it will help the outcome. It would be trivial to take blood levels of people before and after treatment.... shame on your industry for being lazy while people suffer and die from chronic illness

    • @HBOTUSA
      @HBOTUSA  ปีที่แล้ว +6

      That’s definitely not actually what’s happening in the industry. “That we have no clue or any evidence” is absolutely incorrect. That we need more research is certainly true as is necessary in every industry in order to learn more. But to say there is none would be false. I’m sorry you missed that point.

      What are you talking about? It's shocking the lack of comprehension to a video like this and the purpose. Hyperbaric oxygen helps so many people and he's trying to explain things related to it in a balanced, scientific manner. "You were the one clearly being lazy in your thinking and trying to understand anything about this video or about people that believe in this as a therapy because it's very legitimate.
