Styles is pissed off at TNA because they wanted him to take a giant pay cut.

I don't blame AJ for being mad at TNA. TNA treated him terribly on his final days in the company.

that was like 12 or 13 years ago bro. let it go. WITHOUT TNA. he be on the indies and working for food stamps and 1,000 dollars. after wcw left. he was working a 9 to 5. tna made him into a legend.

AJ should finish up his career with TNA. It's not even owned or operated by the same people that screwed him to begin with, and I don't see how going into the TNA Hall of Fame would hurt his image in WWE whatsoever. For one, TNA works with WWE now and for two there's already guys who are in both (Kurt Angle, Sting, the Dudleys, Jeff Jarrett, ect). Whether AJ or WWE like it or not, his name is synonymous with TNA Wrestling. TNA without guys like AJ Styles and Samoa Joe just feels wrong. AJ should absolutely be in the TNA Hall of Fame, he should have been in it 10 years ago. In my opinion, WWE should work with AJ Styles and TNA to do a crossover storyline so AJ Styles can end his career in both companies. AJ Styles being the first and only guy to hold the TNA and WWE Championships at the same time would be a fitting end to a phenomenal career. In my opinion both companies should come together and make that happen as a "thank you" to AJ Styles. He shouldn't go out jobbing to midcard champions like Kurt Angle did.

I met A.J. Styles in 2019 and we had a nice chat about his career. He could tell I had watched his shoot interviews up to that point and he stuck to every word he said in them. Especially how TNA wouldn't even grant him the same contract to get him to stay. He did not even ask for more money and didn't feel he was worth what they paid him on the last one. Despite how red hot he was on the way out the company. He naturally took it personally as most would. But to put him at ease, I told him you make more money now than ever with TNA being in WWE. And you provide a lot better for your family and that is what matters. Sometimes loyalty isn't rewarded at the place you established it at. He appreciated that. Super nice guy to talk to. Welcome back Dirty Dutch.

@christophercleary6780 - He was probably more in awe of me giving him a legitimate conversation instead of acting like a damn mark around him acting like I've never met a human being before.

Could be; or the WWE could've just blocked TNA because Styles is still under contract with them. I bet they'd prefer to induct AJ Styles into the WWE HOF before him going into the TNA one.

Dixie Carter was so awesome during this time period. My sister hates wrestling, but there's been three (3) people she has asked about or been impressed by to the point of asking who it is. HHH, Gail Kim, and Dixie Carter. She heard Dixie running down AJ saying "Take the title back to your little trailer park and show all your friends." Dixie was such a great heel.

Based on what I'd read, TNA asked him to take a huge pay cut. I can't remember exactly how much, but I think it was between 40 and 50%. I also remember reading that he felt insulted by that, understandably so. When you take into account the huge amounts of money Dixie Carter flushed down the crapper, especially when it came to paying Hulk Hogan, Eric Bischoff, various Hogan cronies, and the has-beens and never-wases of ECW, and you ask the wrestler that'd stayed with the company from its very inception to take a 50% reduction in pay? Yeah, that's just not right. Styles had been the flagbearer of TNA from the very beginning and that's just not the way you treat the most loyal wrestler to ever work for your company.

4:36-6:16 but that was the Dixie Carter era of TNA and then on top of that the Hogan and Bischoff regime made matters worse for him and everyone else
TNA has significantly changed and drastically improved ever since she left the company and sold it to Anthem
They had to get away from her or else they really would've died and gone out of business years ago even though she did do a lot of good from before admittedly
TNA has been slowly and successfully rebuilding themselves for 5-6 years now thanks to the efforts of Scott D'Amore *(WHO SHOULD STILL BE THERE!)* and Tommy Dreamer and Gail Kim and many others who helped restore the reputation of this company, TNA is a completely different company than it was under Dixie Carter
I would love nothing more than for AJ to have one more match in TNA but the ball's in his court and it's totally up to him if he wants to go there one last time
So I hope he lets bygones be bygones and gives TNA fans gives one final match for the company before he retires and get some closure for him and fans

It's true he wants tna to have not thrived so well since he left but they gave him his big break, still the best moments of his career and guys like Moose, EY and Josh Alexander left his legend in the dust.
