Could they spend just like five more dollars on those multicolor powdery spell effects? They look like they're from 2011. They feel out of place next to some of the really good smoke effects and sparkle effects and little light twinkle and those smoldering orange talismans and tattoos and runes all look great.. but when they blow something out of a vial it looks vile.
I agree completely I think the dust potions are very cringe and badly cgi they should do potions the way the og did it or at least do it better all the other effects are ok. But those dust look like every witch way effects
Can’t the spells be in English, we all chat English, right? How does the bloody subtitles work on this thing? I know the reboot is all about the brown skin, I’ve been brown all my life, but it’s ridiculous that in this reboot, to cast a spell it’s got to be in a foreign language. And if it has to be in a foreign language, surely it would’ve been in old Latin, right? Seriously, if all the spells in this reboot were to be casted in a foreign language, the whole script should’ve been in that same foreign language throughout, that makes more sense. Reverse racism towards the original doesn’t make sense, especially as the “reboot” actually already stand on its own and isn’t at all white privileged as the “original”, it’s a complete separate entity. I wouldn’t even called this show as a reboot, it’s more like NCIS, CSI, Law and Order franchises where other series splinters off with other series that stand on their own. I’m hoping the Charmed franchise will create a series of brothers witches, call it “The Enchanted” about male witches fighting evil too with magic. Now that Supernatural has sadly ended, why not
Well i think its bcoz their family was latinx so their book of shadows was written in spanish so when they studied and memorized the spell, they were in that language. Now they're relying on the book of elders and it has really old spells that are in latin, sumerian and other olders languages. Most of their spells are still spanish with latin being the next on the scale. They do have some english ones too.
The spells have been written by witches of different nationalities throughout the ages. I think it's pretty cool. It makes sense that Marisol wrote spells in Spanish for example. I personally love hearing different languages and I don't see why would you have a problem with that.
