    This is the best chipboard box tutorial I know. I made a box a few years ago following along with this video and the box came out perfectly. I used the quarter inch gap for the lid. It is still strong and the best box I've ever made - turned into a sewing kit. I'm here looking again in 2021. Thank you so very much for this.

    Hi Corene, I am new to paper crafts, but have a need for DIY everything. I have pictures of my family that I would like to gift them, but photo albums are so expensive. I could do this, create my own photo albums and the Box to gift them in. Your Creations are professional and meticulous, no doubt from practice. I will start with cut newspaper and cardboard for practice; then when I get proficient I will invest to create something hopefully as beautiful as yours. I Thank you for this fantastic tutorial; Happy I found your channel. Grateful Grate Grandmother here. TFS

    You can also make your own chip board from card stock Chip board is just layers glued together to make it thick Since I don’t have the tools or patience to cut the chip board you buy at the store I just cut my thin layers to size then glue them together 😎

    What a perfect video loved it. One thing that always confuses me is how do we measure the 7/8th of an inche like the strips on the lid it says 6 and 7/8th so how would you measure the 7/8th 😖

    • @corenescreations
      @corenescreations  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you! To measure the 7/8 of an inch I the line after the 3/4". So when it says 6 7/8", you want to cut it just smaller than 7". You can also Google "measurements on a ruler" and images will pop up that are helpful to lean how to figure out 3/8" or 7/8", etc. I really hope this helps. Thanks so much for stopping by!

    I know this was done a few years ago, so I hope you're still monitoring comments. That said, is there a logic to whether you use wet or tape glue? I really enjoyed your class (because that's what it is); nicely done and very easy to follow.

    • @corenescreations
      @corenescreations  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you, I appreciate that! My logic is any chance I can use wet glue I do, because it’s more more inexpensive. I like when I can to use wet glue, because it gives me a few seconds to move it around & position it exactly where I want. The times I choose tape is edges (so glue can’t seep out. Hope that helps! This video was great and I loved watching how you put your boxes together. I do have a question - If you know you're going to put the pattern paper on, why not do it when you initially put the box together? I'm struggling with why you put a black or maybe a white under-paper on the box only to cover it up again with a patterned paper.

    i have been wanting to know how to make a box as this seems so popular to do with the handmade albums! You explained it perfectly and I so appreciate that as I think I could make one now!!!! P.S. just curious if you have tried to semi-duplicate the box that Kathy Orta King makes. She makes the bottom of the box angular to sit the album in and then covers it with a lid. That seems so very complicated and I dont think to learn how to do it justifies her charging the outrageous price she charges! Thanks so very much for showing us how to make a box!!!!!!

      I’m using a Carl Rotary trimmer. You can use a Fiskars blade trimmer as well. It won’t cut all the way through, but you can run the blade over it, flip to the other side and cut it at the same measurement, and then it will cut through your chipboard, hope that helps.
