Although this bus is comfortable and luxurious, it shows the extremely individualistic life people lead in Japan. The single seats compartmentalise you and cut you off from any kind of socialising. No wonder the youth is so severely depressed. Although from a safety point of view for a person traveling solo this is the best. But I like my road travels to be more fun, with family and friends chatting all the way. However thanks for documenting your experience.

It looks very comfortable and indeed suitable to type of travelling I enjoy. Yet I think back to bus trips where I have met the most interesting people sitting next to me. And then to other bus trips where I wish I had my own compartment!!! Ha ha. Also, I didn't realize you got so much snow.
I was shocked by how much snow at the first rest area..also I love how big the rest area's are..kinds like mini malls..here there are just bathrooms and vending machines..and nothing like the amazing vending in Japan

Who cares about the toilets, the price would be higher with such extra maintenance. The bus stops often on the highway I don't understand the problems with humans.
@@bugrist Japanese long-distance bus basically has toilet in the bus. In this case, the bus few stops at highway service area. If you want to use toilet, you can ask a driver to stop at resting area.

Wow, that was really Japanese way! You only filmed the back of bus cabin in the beginning when you boarded and was alone. After that, you kept pointing your camera to the floor, trying to avoid taking in other passengers. If you are a Taiwanese, you did blend in Japan well.
What would be great is to *REMOVE the center seats* and create an aisle, much more comfort, and a greater degree of safety for all aboard. Otherwise, love it!!

They must charge a premium fare I suppose, with only 18 seats (and far from full on this occasion). That aisle looks very narrow, though, particularly if you have carry-on luggage
Can an average sized person walk straight down the aisle, or do you have to turn sideways a bit? It looks awfully narrow. I'd have to have one of those single seats, or I'd get too claustrophobic. But it sure does look comfortable. Better than any bus I've ever been on!
