Tokyo to Osaka on a $80 Overnight Capsule Hotel Bus

  • I took the JR Relier bus from Tokyo to Osaka on its advanced class. Considering the prices of the Shinkansen Bullet train and an accommodation, this might be the best option to travel between the two cities.
    Fare: 8,500JPY/80USD
    Route: Tokyo-Osaka
    Bus: JR Ruiler 17
    Seat: Advanced class
    Experience: cursed seat

It is often helpful while travelling to carry a small multitool (to help with misplaced screws), at least one binder clip (for the curtain), and for hotel use, at least one doorstop wedge.

    • @kitecattestecke2303

I am a single traveller + backpacker originated from Korea; living in Australia . Everyyear, I regularly travel to Taiwan, all around the little island while trying all kinda things. In Nov 2019, I had a last trip there because I wanted to start travelling to Japan- without knowing the COVID 19 will stop me. I thought this monster would prevent me for an year, but I am still trapped in our country. Therefore, your video really relieves my spirit and mind; the way you travel , the way you eat and the way you see; all are what I wanted to do when I travel Japan. I started watching this using my phone but now I love watching from laptop for better feeling and experience- especially when you eat! (haha)
From other video, I watched you thanked to people as numbers are growing up; but I have to say "thank YOU" very very much.

Great trip, and yes, it's on sleeper bus. In my country, the term of sleeper bus is, the seat nearly laying down (maybe 140-160°) and they have partition like Capsule hotel. When I see the price and converted to my local currency, looks expensive (how weak my local currency is), sleeper in my country maybe around $20-$40, depends the distance, and they also have free meal in selected restaurant when resting, but I think it's reasonable price in Japan, and looks cheaper than Shinkansen.

I’ve been binge watching your old videos in order newest to oldest and I think this is the next one down the line but I’m getting confused 😂 anyway..I’m about to watch this but first a pause so I can grab some rice to eat while I watch your vlog. I know now to be prepared when your food arrives looking delicious and I get hungry looking at it. Btw my nickname for you I’ve decided will be “ Hitori “ ( sounds like I’m calling you History 😂) I’ve been practicing my Japanese lessons and learned Hitori Tabi just for you. So..hold on Hitori while I grab some rice..I’ll be right back 💃💃💃💃 ok I’m back..lets go..

Had to laugh at the combination of the mask, sleep mask, and the glasses - you looked like the title character of that old movie "The Invisible Man" 😂.

It looks nice enough for a bus trip but I couldn't relax. I'd be afraid with all those people sleeping in the back, the driver would fall asleep too. I wouldn't like this at all. Thanks for sharing this video. Very interesting.
Safe travels to you from Charlotte NC USA 🇺🇸. 💛❤🌿🌼🌻🌟❤💛
