Easy 1940's Hairstyles | Pin up Hair Hack

If you're a fan of #pinuphair styles from the 40's as well as 50's hair styles, then why not try this !
What you'll need: #bobbypins, a comb, a brush, side combs and hairspray.
Use your fingers ( or comb) to make a triangular part with the front section of hair.
Lightly brush through.
Make a counter clockwise twist, a few inches up.
Push the hair forward.
Secure the scalp with two criss-crossed bobby pins.
Gently blend with the rest of your hair.
Now insert side combs.
Smooth and pin hair between the combs to keep it neat.
Optional: Spritz with hairspray to help keep its shape.
Smooth with a comb.
That's all !

I have a round face and I do a hairstyle similar to this. I do change it up, I do a side part and add a twist on the side. And I don't use hair spray, I use pomade.

I wore my permed hair like this as a teenager late 1980’s, early 1990’s .....I loved this style. My Grandmother asked me why I was wearing such an old lady hairstyle. I had no idea what she was talking about. It’s all just swings and roundabouts. 😁👍

I would love to try this but sadly my hair is growing from a pixie cut. My hair is just touching my shoulders but I have layers, that wouldn't work. This is so much help for the future! I wish that 2020 would be like the 1940s, well besides World War 2, I wish the 1940s fashion and beauty comes back, I don't like the new generation with so much technology, it's easy for others to get in trouble and spied on. I like the 1940s generation and how they talk and use their words instead of words like lol or no cap. So much inspiration!

I took my tutorials for curling my hair on Rachel Masky, Jessica K-F, Retro Elizabeth...
The only thing that works for my extremely straight/fine hair is put product in my hair and then let them dry (or blow dry to speed up process) in curlers. Then, I'm very gentle when taking them down and barely mist with strong hold hair spray but keep the bottle almost arm's length away from my head. Another thing that works for me is when my hair is wet, I twist my hair into a tight twisted bun until it dries. Then, I take it down carefully. Neither of them would last a night out dancing, but they're better than hot curlers, curling iron, etc. Also, wearing the curls up somehow where you can pin them in place works really well.
Also, you could try clip-in extensions with a matching color but different texture and just blend them so your loosely curled hair blends into beachy waved extentions. They sometimes help hold my hair into a little bit of a wave when they're blended together using product.
Even though I have wavy hair but curls just fall in my hair.
I've been thinking of getting a perm.
I do 1940s hairstyles a lot and I get a lot of compliments on it. The hard thing is dealing with my curls and the amount of bobby pins I need in order to keep it in place 😔😂
I have curly hair too. Yes, we require more bobby pins than straight haired girls. We also can't use a comb or brush on dry hair as it frizzes our hair. It's a lot of work to care for curly hair!!

I actually do a similar hairstyle to this. Only since my hair is thin I can not use the hair combs, I take some hair on the side of my hair and twist it two times and bobby pin it down.
The front part of my hair I do a side part and do the pomp just like in the video. Only I apply pomade and not hairspray before styling my hair.
