Man, the singles leading up to this set my expectations sky high. Not only did the rest of the album deliver, but there was not a single dull moment, every song is fantastic and even after just one listen I can easily see this being AOTY imo. Though I'm saddened to hear this will be your last album, going out at the top of your game is never a bad way to go. Thank you for making great music over the years and I hope your future endeavors treat you well. 🔥🤘

I've been dabbling on a track in what little free time I have, so may eventually put out some singles or maybe even EP. Only time will tell. A great album, "Forest of Shadows" amazed me from the first listen. I first became acquainted with James’s work in 2016, accidentally came across the track “Call to Harms”, immediately liked both types of vocals, for many years I have never found anything similar. Over the past years I’ve been listening to The Neologist and This Cold Life, it was interesting to follow the development of the performance style in the albums, this music has really become a standout among everything I listen to, and perhaps these two bands are in the top 5 of my favorites.Thank you for continuing to delight us with new releases!

Great Job, I love the entire album. Great riff and the mix between the 2 voices is excelente. Just discover you this morning and it's juste the begenning for me to listen the rest of your work.
The short answer is don't have the time. Longer answer is I have full time job with traveling, family/kids, etc, so I only have a limited amount of time to work on music. These full length albums take ~2 years for me to complete since I can only chip away at them, but it always weighs on me to work on them which makes it more like a job than hobby. So I've decided to scrap full length albums and instead if I have the time, just focus all my energy on one song until it's done. So The Neologist is not completely dead, just on life support.
I feel much of what you write. Impatient as I am the thought of gathering 3 - 4 songs for an EP almost gives me burnout. Additionally many people overlook most of the songs if you release an album. I think focussing on one track at a time and them throwing it at peoples face is way more manageable.
