- Russia holds informal UN meeting following incursion by Ukrainian forces
Russia's UN Security Council Permanent Representative Vassily Nebenzia opens the 'Arria-formula' informal meeting in New York City to discuss the recent incursion by Ukrainian forces into Kursk, on Tuesday, August 13.
According to reports, Ukrainian forces entered Russian territory on August 6. On Monday, Kiev claimed it controlled '1,000 square kilometres' of Russian territory, while President Volodymyr Zelensky described it as 'purely [a] security issue for Ukraine'.
President Vladimir Putin described the attack as a 'large-scale provocation' and met with governors of Russia's border regions on Monday. A counter-terrorist operation regime was introduced in the Kursk, Belgorod and Bryansk regions on August 9.

Russia needs to except that it’s military and military contractors have murdered many civilians in Ukraine since the invasion. This is the norm for most countries whose military operations are less advanced technological. Could be imagined if the most technologically advanced militaries approached warfare with complete disregard for the innocent civilians.

The war in Ukraine was not started by Russia it started when the democratically elected government was coupled, aided and abetted by USA, in 2014. The Kiev regime was not accepted by those Ukrainian citizens in the Donbass who speak and conduct business and local government in Russian and have closer cultural ties to Russia which is why, after 8 years of persecution, bombings and 14,000 lives lost, including children, Russia felt obligated to support them against a flagged escalation by Kiev. Nearly 3 million Ukranian refugees fled to Russia in 2022, more than any other country.

This is false.
**NATO* did not say any of that.... it was only couple of Nato countries who talked about this. And even if they said it, it is NOT a formal statement from Nato. In Nato, decsions are not made by 1 or 2 countries, but as a whole. And the rules of Nato surely are not made by 1 country....
So USSR made a mistake by not asking a formal decision from Nato about this. This is USSR s own mistake, and NATO as a whole never made this claim officially.
Its like Germany telling China that: "EU will give you a gift of 10 billion dollars... at the end of the year". Well, Germany cannot give such promises on behalf of EU, and China should know this, and thus this statement by Germany would be invalid unless officially decided by the EU.
