Faizul Hasan Qadri loved his wife dearly. When she once expressed regret that no one would remember them after their deaths, he made her a vow: that he would build her a tomb that people would speak of for generations. He kept that promise by building a replica of the Taj Mahal in his backyard, in which he buried her after she passed away. On the day he passes on, he wishes to be buried next to her, so that they can be together forever.

Actually the story of the real Taj Mahal is exactly the same story. It was build by an emperor in memory of his wife who died giving birth to their child, they are both berried together. I think that's also why he choosed the Taj as an monument of their love, because the original is a monument of love too .
