It is surprising how basic institutions like motherhood and teachers are treated like crap by everyone. We literally make individuals but with zero support from thé family, school, society and government.
In 9th and 10th board exam preparations teachers take group tutions outside school.And they become a brand for the particular subject they teach and are in great demand .Ive seen this at least in Mumbai.

Well said but Indian education system is obsolete aur teacher ke level pe padaane ke Siva koi changes in syllabus tho nahi kar sakte. Hoshiar bachche tho apni plan kar lete hain per over all sab ki tarakki ho iske liye lot of changes and additions needed at all levels of education .koi dhang ka education minister ki jarurat hai ab tho . Happy teachers day !so many talented educated ppl in our country per education system ko improve and relevant banana ab tak posible nahi hua . Aap jaise log initiate kar sakte hain so that schooling becomes a grt foundation and on par with international standards.

एकदम सही है , अमितजी... My cousin was very much in demand for home tution for Hindi to English medium students. She used to charge quite a lot .That too not in a very big district in Maharashtra. Even I had Sanskrit home tution for my daughter in her tenth standard many years ago.

Wrong comparison of school teachers (class 1-12) with bramded coaching teachers (12+) for JEE, NEET and UPSC on the same scale. Completely different objectives, goals, domain, pupils ..... therefore get different attention and payments. In your own language "we can't generalize anything by quoting few isolated examples".
