I'm in central California, and have already spent all of our funds for this year - but I'm looking forward and making a list for next year! I feel you about the library situation. I check out books on our library's website, and just go in quickly to pick up the holds.
It’s rough! I feel like there’s just too much content in there (right up front and center) that we don’t want our kids to be reading! We are super sad about it because my kids love the library!

we just order and I pick them up! lots of unnecessary books for young children being very obviously displayed for them to get caught in that!
Yea i overspent semester 1 and 2nd semester had too much leftover. But they denied several purchases like a drum set for my son and certain crafts. Very frustrating that they have to control so much. I don’t think they would approve an ipad for sure because they give us a chromebook. But I will ask. I don’t like that we have to return all these things if we leave the school so I try to use it on consumables. I found some expensive experiments, online spanish programs, coding courses, field trips,kiwi crate stuff, workbooks, generation genius is pretty expensive and my son likes their videos. Their experiments are super cool i just find it hard to find time to do them. We have too many now
It is frustrating sometimes!! You might also check to see if they actually want some of the things back because our teacher facilitator marked a lot of things as consumable at the end of last school year because the school would just give them away anyway. (Not technology stuff, but games and books) I don’t think every school does that the same way but it’s worth asking!
Do you have to return all the books you buy to the charter? It’s considers them non consumable so we have to send them to them when we’re finished with them.
@@skirtedfancy most of the time they don’t want them back! It depends on how expensive it was, lol
How do you place orders from Amazon or Rainbow Resources using your charter funds?
Every time you want to buy a game do you have to get approval?
If I want to use school funds then yes!
Does the school make you return the iPad once you leave?
Yes! We return technology, but everything else they don’t need back
Does your charter make you return all nonconsumables when you leave the charter?
It depends on what it is. They want technology based items back but don’t want the other things!
