I also thought Ten would be in NCT Tokyo after hearing he's studying Japanese but then during an Instagram live Kun, Xiaojun and Hendery said they've been into studying Japanese too. Hendery said he's taking English lessons too. I feel like Yuta would end up like Winwin, Imma seriously cry if he leaves NCT 127, I still miss seeing winwin in the group. I wish SM would at least give some update about Lucas. Lastly happy Haechan Day everyone! and get well soon to all the neos who are sick right now
NCT127 will be probably on hiatus for a while with some members enlisting in the near future, so it makes sense to have new units

I think it’s possible for Yuta to do both 127 and Tokyo. Look at Mark and Haechan. I think the reason it’s taking so long is that there are lots of scheduling to work out for 2023 with all the different units. Having Yuta, Ten and Shotaro as the basis for the unit would be a very interesting mix and I’m here for it!
It should be possible for members like yuta and ten to be in multiple units but everyone is scared because of how they got rid of winwin from 127 , and getting rid of yuta would make 127 the Korean unit have only korean (some are mixed korean) members. Hopefully they can have multiple units but then SM needs to get better at scheduling, at this point they need to focus on being able to give every unit 1 comeback a year without it overlapping with another units activities.
@@kwatson573 Don't think Yuta being in a Japanese unit would mean he couldn't promote in the same way that Winwin couldn't. Winwin pulled out of 127 because of THAAD/Chinese laws on kpop which basically means he isn't able to actively promote in China and Korea. Japan doesn't have these laws so Yuta promoting with a Japanese unit and 127 it would be more akin to Mark/Haechan promoting with Dream and 127

Mark and Haechan being in two units wasn’t supposed to happen tho. Dream was a graduation unit.. mark literally had already graduated dream (leaving him in one unit) and Haechan was next to graduate .. SM was forced to change the plan because fans complained and protested about splitting up dream. But SM didnt plan for them to stay in 2 units the way they are now
And I hope that SM won't mistreat them like they did it to wayv and gives them proper promotions, don't overworks those guys! Don't takes Yuta or any other member away from their previous units like they did to Winwin! And I think that Yuta and Shotaro gonna defenitely join this unit, since they're Japanese (Please, we want Yuta in 127 too, don't take him away!)

If Ten will actually be in NCT Tokyo, I'm gonna be so sad. Ten's one of my biases and i love having him shine and get the opportunities he deserves, but that would probably mean that WayV is gonna be shelved and put on hold even further, and it's my favorite unit :(
Yeah, that’s why it doesn’t make a lot of sense to me. I could understand Yuta because he’s Japanese and 127 will slow down a bit after the Korean members enlist (I’m wondering how they would make it work tho) but Ten? Like, isn’t China his main market now? Why he would start promoting in Japan too, like he’s literally in a Chinese dance competition show as a judge/mentor and WayV is his main unit (where his market is) so putting him in Japan is kinda weird. Besides idk if Ten being in a Japan unit would sit well with the Chinese fans/general public, I could be wrong tho.

i think they’re just trying to keep with the whole original “constantly changing and growing” concept by pushing the new units. they’ve definitely lost it by fixing their units, nct u once a year isn’t enough to cut it anymore.

Ten is learning Japanese just to expand his knowledge. Shotaro is also learning English. Idols don't have much to do outside promotions except train and learn or sleep and have fun.
Ten mentioned he want to be more fluent in Japanese many years ago. His manager give bought him Japanese course two years ago. He get qualantene in Beijing w/o schedule for month that why he finally have time to learn. And Ten really have a reall dedicated Japanese group of fans who try to talk to him.

I think expanding nct is a very good idea because even if they are a very big entertainment group not all the groups will have same fame and popularity like other groups but at least because they will be part of nct , they will be recognized as a group. Idk this will be either a hit or a miss but lets hope for the best .

SM just needs to figure out how to manage the schedules of the units and it will be fine afterwards. Don't take anyone away from their unit or replace them with someone else. I like that we are getting new units but I hope SM prepared for this well because it is a huge step. + they are planning on debuting a new boy group outside NCT. Kinda big of a plan for 2022/2023.

I hope the last unit is nct japan for sungtaro and fully new members who are younger than jisung and shotaro will be perfectly the oldest, leader, teacher dancer and babysitter 2000 to the youngest born in 2006-2008, then after their debut no more added members I wanted smnbg (20-10 years younger than shinee and nct dream) and smngg (aespa little sister) na haeun youngest 2009
I agree, that the issue with scheduling arose for unexpected reasons. Once everyone is fully back in their units, I do not see there is an issue. People have forgotten that COVID derailed many of the plans they had for NCT as well as NCT Dream becoming a permanent group.

im so happy for nct, it's just that idk i feel like they are already so big and yeah, some members are already get no lines and screentime. how are they even gonna manage to give everyone a part. some are just gonna look like back up dancers and i will hate that to happen. i love everyone in nct and they should all be treated equally. imagine training to become an idol and u succeeded but u literally just look like an extra. ofc there are some members that will be pushed more. i understand that its gonna be a diff unit but still man, they are still part of nct.
i mean SM is trying to fulfill most of their trainees dreams by debuting them, i heard they have the most trainees of all big entertainments, thinking about the kpop industry in general it would be a better choice then leaving those trainees with nothing and not even trying to debut them even if they arent as popular as the other members, its better than what happens with other companies trainees when their whole carrier is LITERALLY backup dancer or they need to leave the industry and do a regular job, so maybe that is a better alternative with NCT?
That won't be a problem since they promote in sub units lol. Everyone gets to shine. Stanning nct is just like stanning many groups at once.
It's kinda their own fault for joining SM (who have a long history of mistreating/mismanaging idols) and joining a group like NCT, everyone knew it was gonna be a large group from the beginning, if they wanted to stand out more or be more popular they should've tried another group or have a better personality or skills to stand out more.

The one thing people tend to forget when talking about the possibilities of NCT Tokyo is that… Sungchan knows a suspiciously high amount of Japanese! Ever since his debut he’s talked about learning Japanese in nearly every single live (vlive, ig live) that he’s been in. He talks about his Japanese lesson and taro helping him study. Even remember in the behind video during resonance when he sang work it in Japanese off the top of his head. People say he won’t be in NCT Tokyo because he’s Korean but like… exo m, super Junior m, both these Chinese units were filled with Korean members… I don’t think the members will have to be Japanese.. but.. sungchan spending so much time and energy learning Japanese should be taken into consideration.. sus fr

Yeah, it’s like Ten (ik he’s ethnically Chinese, but he’s a Thai national). He still had to learn a lot of Mandarin so I don’t see why Sungchan being part of the Tokyo unit is unreasonable.

I just want the best for the boys and i hope they promote and treat the new subunits equally. No discrimination should be there by SM and by us. We're gonna support the boys no matter what whether its WayV,127,Dream or NCT Tokyo
Part of the problem is that the k-pop market is often partial to their own nationality. If not WayV would be more successful as an NCT sub-group. Yeah it must be heartbreaking to leave your friends, family, your home country and learn a whole new language all to pursue your dreams but not have the support from the fandom simply because you are from another country.
I've read too many comments on WayV's page asking "Why are they promoting here (Korea)?" "OMG why are they singing a Chinese song on Music Bank or Inkigayo?" These are all Korean music shows","Why don't they go to China to promote?" I've read this comment too many times to count. And the comment will receive 4,000 LIKES. Or then the NCT fandom will complain that WayV songs are in Mandarin but even when WayV releases a Korean version of the EXACT same song, it is not supported by the fandom who swear up and down they are diehard NCT fans who religiously support all of NCT but really only support NCT Dream, NCT 127 or NCT U. I've heard some fans say well the "WayV concept doesn't work because most Koreans don't understand Mandarin so we can't understand their songs." But 90% of the west/Americans don't understand Korean or Mandarin at all but we still listen to NCT/kpop and buy their albums. Americans streamed and downloaded PSY's Gangnam style wholeheartedly. At that time kpop wasn't even really a "thing" in the US. We didn't have a clue what Gangnam style was or even where Gangnam was but we still supported it nonetheless. And Americans had not even ever heard of PSY. He had no built in fanbase in the West. So I don't like hearing the BS excuse about not understanding the lyrics. To be honest, the k-fandom has a lot of unwaivering, rigid standards for their idols. In this sense, I often find the k-fandom toxic and unbearable. I know the fandom likes to blame SM for everything but the so-called fans are partially to blame. But they will never admit it.

I swear this has to be the biggest problem in Kpop. The language barrier. Like, have u ever heard a non English\American complain about western pop being in English? That's the same thing with Kpop and non-koreans or Koreans and Kpop with different language versions.
I swear to fuck if they ship Ten off to Japan after he JUST learnt Chinese to be in WayV after JUST learning Korean to be in NCT... I want to believe he's doing these things for his solo work, like Taemin. That would make an equal amount of sense for Ten to be learning Japanese, since he honestly is Taemin's successor in SM.
I think Yuta and Shotaro will be shoe-ins. Yuta will also probably be the leader. Sungchan will also probably join and then probably 3 new japanese and 1 new korean member will debut.

You are so right!! Ten´s solo promoted only in station made me sick. At that point you know for sure that SM gives the priority only to the Korean members.
WayV haven’t had a comeback for various reasons: the Lucas situation, Ten being in China, Winwin being in China… do you want a four members to participate in the comeback?
And the entire point of the new units and older members being there is that they’ll draw in more fans.
And while I wouldn’t be surprised if Sungchan showed up in 127, I don’t know if he’ll replace Yuta and that contract with a US label may cause an issue.

Anyway, all the issues stem from people signing up to be nctzens and not reading the fine print. It’s been almost 3 years since they debuted a new unit and for what their ult goals are, they’re way behind schedule. This is literally what most nctzens expect to happen (new units, those units having members from other units possibly rotating in, etc…).
Well said... clearly a true NCTzen! 💚☺ With NCT you gotta be flexible, people ! It's an ever evolving universe. The reporting in this video was questionable... like, who didn't know a Japanese unit was coming? I totally thought that was common knowledge.
Putting Yuta in the unit makes perfect sense from a marketing stand point, he's an established name with a fan base there, why would they not use that to launch a new unit? I mean, it's what they did with Mark and Dream, and Ten with WayV... I personally think it'll be beneficial to Yuta though, he'll be promoting there more and more often and building his name recognition even more for when he moves on from idol life.
Damn pandemic f'd everything up, particularly for WayV. As much as I'd like Ten and WinWin and all of WayV back in the same place, if the activities TN and WW are working on help promote the group, it's actually a good thing they're there. I'm sure Ten is dying to be back with not only his WayV babies, but his fur babies!
The real mistreat SM did to WayV is they are not well promoted. They are Chinese Thai whole group. How are they supposed to gain fan if SM didn't promote them in main market like China and Thailand? Don't asked me why I say SM didn't promote them in two countries. Most People don't know WayV(including me I know WayV because of Lisa)

If you are not NCTzen, you rarely heard about WayV. The whole Chinese group can't receive much attention international and Korea because they are Chinese. NCTzen only supports their main group and won't support WayV. Don't blame them for that.

He's being doing lot of solo stuff lately like acting debut in upcoming high&low movie and probably would debut as solo artist in future in jp. He wouldn't miss anything Not being part of new unit cause 127 already promotes in Japan and if he had to debut again it better be as a solo artist.

Most reactions I've seen are nctzens complaining abt every single thing sm plans on doing with our boys (especially whenever they add members or debut new units)
I honestly don't understand why some are surprised with the fact that there'll be new units debuting in the future. This is their concept after all, they will continue to add members and expand the group globally.
And as for wayv cb, I agree with what you said. They can't have a cb yet for as long as Winwin and Ten haven't finished their solo activities in China, and as for Lucas, although many fans support him it's still pretty scary to bring him back cuz people might bash him again for all we know and that hate could affect the grp.
As for Yuta joining NCT Tokyo, it's also reasonable as he is in fact Japanese as we all know, and although SM is in fact known for mismanagement with their artists (which is what nctzens are worried about) letting Yuta promote in Japan aka his home country could benefit him as he could finally (hopefully) shine more, 127 has a lot of members (10 if you include Win²) so it's really hard for him to stand out, putting him in another unit could open more opportunities for him that he never got in 127. Hopefully NCT Tokyo will have at least only 5-7 members so line distribution is easier (even though in some cases, even groups with less than 5 members struggle with distribution) we can only hope that SM has a proper plan for the group (since as mentioned, it's been postponed meaning that they definitely have plans for it already)
Also, since the COVID situation is getting better they have to rlly seize this opportunity and start expanding them globally again, as I'm pretty sure that the pandemic is one of the major factors on why some plans for NCT have been postponed or changed.
SM needs to act as soon as possible like you mentioned, they're way behind schedule so it's no surprise if they start debuting units.
I'd also like to add that as of now, the article is the only source of the the information we have of the units (all we know it's that they're planning on debuting NCT Tokyo & Hollywood) and due to that, all we can actually do for now is wait for updates on SM's plans. For now we should focus on the units we have rn and support them (both in group and solo activities)

I still not ready to see Ten 'leaves' WayV. He loves WayV a lot. Even tho he is busy in China, at every opportunity, he always says that he misses the WayV members and always asks WayZenNis to wait for WayV.

I don't follow NCT but I like Ten and feel that this system of subunits doesn't make sense all the time taking into account that some of members are exploted too much Taeyong, Mark and Ten on superM apart form several subunits. The reason why I can't follow all the time NCT is that you get to know a few members of that big group but at the same time miss the others that don't get to promote almost anything.
The theory about kicking Yuta off 127 like WinWin and replace him with Sungchan is something i did think before. Also Shotaro must be also planned to join NCT Tokyo.

No, Yuta can still work 2 units easily! With Taeil enlisting this year and Taeyong, next year, Yuta is needed in 127!

I don't know about Yuta getting in 2 units at the same time. Remember that WinWin could also be easily in 127 and WayV but somehow isn't. Also i feel like SM wants to make the 127 more Korean and American based somehow.

Mark gonna be rapping half of the song and Johnny is there to back him up..rapping isnt Yutas forte anyways..and in NCT127, they have Haechan, Doyoung and Jaehyun all as main vocalists..and we also have Jungwoo on top of that..Yuta has been an accesories in NCT127 meaning his capabilities were supressed..hes been getting more lines nowadays but for sure not that much anyways..its better for him to be in NCT Tokyo so he can have more spotlight on him since the rest of members are relatively new..
if SM ever ruins NCT 127 I will pull up to the head quarters and cry a river lmao. not only is it my favourite unit music-wise, but i love the entire member line up! Well I think since the concept is adding new members from the start (unlike red velvet) it’s like a little heads up to the fans and even if they did receive hate (in the beginning days idk I wasn’t there) then I’m sure why would’ve got over it when it went from 5 to to 9 to 14 etc… If they were still salty I’m sure most of them left in 2016/17. It’s more like they get more love (never heard of a sungtaro hater or Johnny or Jungwoo) but rather all of the blame gets placed on the company for not handling it better

Reality is that SM don't care about fanwars especially those entitled brats who drag down members out of simple hate. The company has so many trainees ready to debut and they are not gonna stop their on going business that bring them millions in album sales.
I, as a kinda og nctzen(been staning NCT for almost 4 yrs now), have never participated in any fanwars nor have I kept up with any of them cuz honestly, I don't care. As long as NCT are making music and are healthy and happy, I'm happy. And every other NCTzen or fan should be like this honestly.

I wouldn’t be too upset. I mean he’s in his 6th year. I just wanna hear his voice, see him shine in a new light, and not disband. I’m quite adaptable as long as it’s not a horrible situation. I was over the moon when Winwin got lines (even if it was a few) even though I was sad he left 127 for a good few months.
Maybe I'm being optimistic about this, but I'm just looking forward to whatever is coming without worrying much. I hope that nobody overworks themselves and stays healthy, that's my priority. Other than that, I feel like the fandom experienced the same "panic" right before WayV's debut. The majority of nctzens despised the idea of a new subunit but everyone eventually fell in love with the new members and the good music. I personally have been waiting for Yuta to debut in the JP subunit, he always talks so fondly about his home country and his culture that I've always seen a longing in him. He is always a cheerful person, but when Shotaro joined he lit up so much; it was a pleasure to see. While I feel like I'll always be concerned about SM's management of the group, we also have to realize that there are so many things to consider when managing such a group with multiply subunits. At the end of the day, they can't please every fan. They have a whole lot of factors to consider and one of them is the members' wishes also. We can complain about all the "bad decisions" a company has made but we also don't know what role the members themselves play in the decision-making progress. They are not rookies anymore and they now have years of experience and loyalty to the company under their belts, which probably gives them a bit more freedom (at least I hope so). Anyways, I wish the best to all of the members and fans!

If Yuta is in NCT Tokyo, it would still be good for him. He shines in Japan and can still start his solo career in Japan while promoting there. Also, 127 will be slowing down with all the upcoming military enlistment so 127 members will be free to go off and work on solo or new groups.
WayV being a Chinese unit is probably why they aren't having much comeback because the China-Korea tension is still ongoing. And they can't promote much in Korea being C-pop. So if anything, I hope some members will be in NCT Tokyo (Yangyang & Hendery would be good).

We already knew SungTaro for the Japanese unit since their debut. Yangyang is 00line so he does fit, plus his raps will be great for the unit along with Sungchan. Depending on the number of members, they'll still add current members along with a few new members, similar with WayV where we knew 4 members already with 3 new members.

- Make leader Taeyong apologize for something he haven't done and get hatred only to be debunked as false years later, damaging his reputation. Make him work even with his injury.
- Send Lucas on hiatus, so that they don't need to answer fans if Lucas is guilty or innocent. Probably a way to save money on investigation
- Rush NCT127 CB always at the end of quarter year.
- Dreams n 127 squad scheduling conflicts.
- Don't give WayV comeback
- Don't promote NCT members solo activities
- Make Ten learn 127 languages to debut in foreign units but don't promote units properly.
- Mark getting overworked
- Never protect their artist
- WinWin getting mistreated
- Make some members work to give their soul and keep others in dungeons.
- Somehow claim SM entertainment helped their artist solo activities. example - When Baekhyun and Taeyong collabed on SoundCloud for Monroe, some articles and tweet were giving credit to SM.

As much as I would LOVE to see Yuta in NCT Tokyo, I need him to not leave NCT 127, or have the Winwin situation. His chemistry with the group is excellent, he's finally shining in the 127 unit, and idk he shines so bright right now in 127 with his unique personality, that it'd be heartbreaking to see him shipped off. I definitely understand how joining a unit based on his homeland would be comfortable for him, but it is only now that he is getting him time to shine as a 127 member, and I would not want him to be put only in one japanese unit cause yk, he would get overlooked. I mean how are we so sure NCT tokyo won't be in WayV situation with the terrible management of SM? And him being my ULTIMATE bias, I would break down if this man gets removed from the unit.

We don't know what happened behind the scenes with Winwin and 127. I don't get why, everyone just assumes it was soley SM that decided that WW would permanently switch units and not be part of 2 like Mark and Hyuck.
In my opinion it's very clear. Yes, WW loves to dance, but that doesn't mean he's fit to be an idol in korea. He himself said he doesn't mind getting fewer lines. Maybe he and SM decided together that he would leave 127. Maybe WW didn't want to promote in two active groups and chose Wayv in hopes of promoting a little less and getting the chance to focus on china promotions and making a name for himself there. I mean, look at him. He's in china for nearly a year now, thriving doing anything but singing - creating his own management there for his work in china. I wouldn't be surprised if he's the first NCT member to leave on his own. Ten is in china for just as long, and while he's super active there right now, everything he does is still unter SM/Lable V. What I'm saying is: it seems like WW is doing what he enjoys.
Yuta meanwhile? He went to korea/SM to become a singer. It's his dream. He didn't just slip into the idol live like WW did. He chose it. Like Mark and Hyuck for example. So in my mind, he would have zero problems to be part of two fixxed units. If Mark and Haechan can manage it, he can too.
I think when it comes to members and their units we should look more at Mark and Haechan that are in two units, than WinWin leaving one unit.

Anyway, i really don't want my ultimate, Yuta, to leave NCT 127, but i can't do anything...if SM decided that he will stay in NCT Tokyo permanently, we will never be able to change it.

People are complaining that wayv isn't being promoted and forget that SM literally created WayV units and how members are doing solo activities such as acting and variety shows.
Some fans opinions are too closed minded. This would be such a good opportunities for Yuta and would open many many doors to solo activities in while he is promoting in Japan. And in terms of Wayv like I get that fans want a comeback but I think their solo activities that they have going on rn are good for them especially winwin who seems to be enjoying himself at the moment. Its not like the rest of the wayv members are jobless. Ten is a mentor on a show, Yangyang and Ten had a song, Kun is always enjoying his many hobbies and vlogging it etc.

And y'all realize "NCT Tokyo" and "NCT Hollywood" are most likely working titles, right... meaning their actual unit names will be revealed closer to debut. I mean, look at WayV... they were "NCT China" until the name was announced. This is a totally normal thing done in the entertainment industry.
I realize I'm in the minority when it comes to NCT Hollywood, but I'm excited to see what they come up with... AND if it's really going to be a competition show produced by Mark Burnett and aired in the US, even people like my granny in Oklahoma might end up knowing who NCT is... and that's pretty friggin cool to think about! Like, the 90 year old woman knows who AleXa is now and was rooting for her.... that's the power of bringing something new directly into people's living rooms.
Yuta joining the Japanese unit whether full time or doing double duty like Mark/Haechan, makes perfect sense from a marketing stand point. He's an established name with a fan base there, half the battle of launching a new group can be mitigated with name recognition... take IVE and others who've launched with established idols among the new faces, they've been hugely successful straight out the gate. I mean, it's not always going to work, but labels/groups have a heck of a lot better chance with them then without!
It's also to Yuta's benefit, as he'll become even bigger there and have MORE opportunity for solo projects by promoting there much more often.... hopefully setting him up better for when he's ready to leave the idol life. And as the senior, much more experienced member with a recognizable face and name, he's bound to have more to do than in 127 (granted, that wouldn't be hard to do as line distribution in 127 sucks a**).
Also, Ten has been learning Japanese for at least 4-5 years... that kid LOVES languages.
And lastly, of course SuperM has been inactive... SuperM without Baekhyun and Taemin basically makes it just an NCT unit featuring Kai. Which I would still watch the hell out of, but I can see how that'd annoy some.
I would love to see ten to be on both new units. I wanted foreign swaggers 2b in the same group and ten would also be good in NCT Tokyo but I don't want yuta & ten to leave their main units which is NCT 127 & WAYV.

He do solo, do duo, he's part of Super M, Way V, was in NCT U, maybe he will be in NCT Tokyo and maybe more in the future.... Poor TEN SM really put him everywhere and don't even promot his solo or other work well. I'm happy that Ten is seen for is incredible talent but also I think he will be exausted and lost about where his place exactly is.
Also, I think they're pushing for the additional units because enlistment is coming up real fast for the 127 members so they probably want to set the new units up and gain some success to carry them through that period, maintain and grow the fandom.

He has to make 3-5 comebacks each year along with the preparations that go into it (recording, practicing, filming) and the promotions on stage and off like talk shows. Then Mark is in all of those plus SuperM (which has been inactive lately). But basically they go unit hoping all year long. Take a look at 2021 for instance. They started off in February with Japanese 127 promotions “Gimme Gimme” and then in May they had a dream comeback with “Hot Sauce” then a repackage in June “Hello Future.” In comes September and its “Sticker” time, then another repackage in October with “Favorite” and keep in mind that so far, 4 of these 5 comebacks had to promoted for weeks on music shows. Then they had 2021 songs with Dream, U, and 127 units each along with the ot21 song and he would’ve had to film multiple music videos for that. Also keep in mind that the way NCT promotes, they typically film a short music video to tease each song for example check out Nct Dream’s dreaming or Deja vu and Nct 127s sit down. Then 2022 so far he’s had glitch mode and a repackage already along with at least one Nct U song. It’s a lot. Oh and don’t forget that Mark has debuted solo last year as well.

Sm wants to expand to "the West" but doesn't seem to know what's going on with international fans (like who's popular etc) they always seem to look at NCT from the Korean fans perspective which makes sense as they're korean based but when you want to break to the Western Market you need to understand what's working there and what not, not all practices and standards that are popular/normal in Korea go well internationally, especially when it comes to musical, artistical and personal freedom of their artists
Lee soo man has literally been working in LA WITH an American company for the past 2-3 years to make NCT Hollywood happen. NCT Hollywood will be half owned by an American company so I think they’re putting in the research properly

Nct tokyo is obviously meant for the Japanese Market and they acknowledge Yuta is popular there but to me it always seemed in the past they underestimate his popularity internationally (and I not only mean US or Europe but all continents)

I love all nct sub units but I noticed from all the reactions I see on youtube, wayv are the most appreciated unit in the west (musically), their songs/music videos and the fact that most of them can speak a good amount of English makes them more suitable for the western market and yet they are waisting their talent and keeping them in the Dungeon!
@@tcole750 This doesn't take into account how they've managed and promoted NCT127 in the western market. They tried some different promotional things with Super M but really NCT 127 should be way bigger in the US than they actually are. And really NCT Hollywood doesn't count as proof to say SM researched successfully because that group does not exist yet; it's really just an idea at this point. In the last year, the only time I've heard it mentioned is the once or twice when SM puts out an official statement on the web about the upcoming project or when other TH-camrs talk about. And unfortunately a lot of the netizens reaction is negative. A lot of NCT fans hate that they are creating a new NCT group when there seems to be obvious management and promotional deficiency for the current NCT units i.e. WayV. Also I think for NCT Hollywood to be successful they need to try to acclimate the US market to the NCT concept as a whole. Like yeah Lee Soo Man was smart to partner with Mark Burnett who has success with the "Survivor" tv franchise but I feel like there are too many potential problems.
One problem they could have is that standards are different in the west. Some behaviors and ideas that are acceptable in the US are not acceptable in Asian markets. So LSM is gonna try to find extraordinary talent in the US with entirely clean "backgrounds"? That means no record of underage drinking, no past illegal drug use, no smoking, can't be openly gay, no bullying scandals, no past racist or homophobic remarks on social media, no controversial social media posts, no misogynistic posts, no controversial political ideologies, no open cursing, no baby's mamas, no criminal record, no bad financial credit or court judgements, no controversial religious beliefs, etc. And then SM will expect them not to smoke, date or have relationships for the next 7-10 years while they're members of NCT? Like they're expecting these finals members to adhere to Korean idol standards with no problems? Once confirmed as NCT members, the gossip rags will be digging deep into every bit of their background looking for cracks in the foundation. I can seriously see a few of the final chosen NCT Hollywood members cracking under the unrealistic pressures of the k-fandom and either having a mental breakdown or leaving/going on "hiatus".

for me i think sungtaro and probably yangyang will join nct tokyo with 3-4 new members...they aren't going to debut yuta on another unit since he's in the industry for 6 yrs already same case with ten too.. but there's high chance for yangyang to join nct tokyo

I think nct japan is only for sungtaro and fully new members who are younger than jisung and shotaro will be the eldest, leader and teacher dancer of the group and probably sm put a new maknae born in 06-08 for them, because kpop/jpop doesn't have males idols from this age (after born in 05L) the majority are more females and they needed, sm can't added trainees born in 1990s anymore of this generation

Now that I hear NCT Tokyo was supposed to debut even b4 127, I do feel like Ten was supposed to go together with Doyoung, Johnny and Yuta along with some other members but it all changed because he had his knee injury and since he was especially very popular during that time maybe SM felt like without that kind of core member, they wouldn't be able to debut.
I believe that many of the people who are upset about NCT Tokyo are not NCT stans or are new NCT stans. NCT Tokyo/Japan was ALWAYS meant to happen, it was a part of the press conference in 2015. And NCT as a whole is not mismanaged. WayV hasn't had a comeback due to specific circumstances and if they were to make an album with only 4 members those same fans would complain. NCT Dream was never meant to be a permanent unit, so any scheduling issues with Mark and Haechan are inevitable. I do not think it would be impossible to have Yuta in both NCT 127 and Japan at the same time.
127 already promotes in jp so I don't think yuta wud be missing out on anything if he's not part of nct japan. But who knows what sm has on their own mind 🤷🏽♀️
I agree with the person who said SM's plan is probably to switch Yuta to NCT tokyo permanently and replace him with sungchan. it's sort of what they did by adding jungwoo right before they switched winwin to wayv (even though they had a couple comebacks as ot10). I'll be really sad if that does happen, but I also feel like it might be better for Yuta since being in 127 and tokyo at the same time could very easily lead to him getting overworked-- same with ten and wayv. mark and haechan, for example, barely had a break last year because they were constantly going back and forth between 127 and dream. as much as I don't want anyone to be removed from 127, I also don't want any more idols getting overworked
I really want Sungchan and Shotaro to be NCT Toyko, and the perfect fit, but Yuta should be with NCT Toyko beacuse he been a member as NCT 127 in nine years and think he should stay.
I love NCT, but it is frustrating to have so many units. It is obvious that a unit may be neglected like WayV 😭
Yeah and knowing how SM works, every unit that debuts will definitely get some form of mistreatment. Whether it’s a member or the whole group, I don’t trust SM at all and tbh this is way too much 😭😭 especially bcs they don’t know how to managed four units + superm like what…
