This is a double-entendre. Putting a penny on the table can mean giving your opinion on the decision making process, but it also means making money to stabilise your family. Before he could even make household decisions, he was providing for his family.

Dave is an artist who can make a banger, that still has the bars, the beat, the wordplay and a message. It's what separates him from everyone else in my opinion.
You won't find a single flop in Dave's whole discography. He is a lyrical genius in every sense of the word.

Fantastic commentary and reaction. Dave is something special and an all-rounder. Producer (When you see Santan it means he produced the track), rapper, Musician, and in my eyes political activist as he is highlighting many subjects in some of his albums.
When you mentioned you don't know much of his back story then can I suggest you back to Dave at 16 Years old and react to his Black Box Freestyle (Not the Cypher although that is dope also). He explains a lot of his history. That is the track that got him noticed in the UK. He has grown so much in the 9 years since.

Quality again mate, Streatham is south London, Streatham Vale, area in Streatham, LEE is one of the best, he always catches the bars, I’m from North England and most rappers are from London so I miss plenty of the references, Avelino ft Dave-Cassius Clay is one of the best tracks out of the UK in my opinion, another 20 min plus breakdown definitely
