Good catch. Holding is kind of one of those plays that could get called on about half of plays so the Refs only call the downright obvious infractions.
Tbh we didn’t deserve that win. The offense was awful. Finley overthrowing most passes, red zone offense continues to not be able to make TDs (lost us the UL-Lafayette game), WRs dropping easy catches, star running back Mahdi (who absolutely is our offensive MVP. Don’t get it twisted.) carrying only occasionally… Only reason we won is our defense played their hearts out and performed incredibly.
Mahdi has an injury on one of his hands and was questionable to play at all in this game. And when he is playing he has a large glove on one of his hands that renders him incapable of using that hand to hold the football or stiff arm opponents. That being said even with the injury he is our best RB when he can play. We get a bye week this week at an important time to get him and the rest of the squad healthier.
Nothing like the Fun Belt, baby. And friggin Texas State, man. They came out of nowhere to be pretty good this season in the SBC West. They may have a very legit crack at winning the division since South Alabama is having a bit of a down year, but they'll have to get by a very good Troy team to do it.

Second time ULM has given away the victory this season.
As someone who is used to seeing ULM get curbstomped every Saturday, seeing them build up big leads and pissing them away is different.
