Hard to believe how fast this thing was moving... I was looking forward to the in-car footage for some confirmation of just how fast this thing seemed to be making its way up the hill. Sheer absurdity.
While we know it's not sped up footage you could almost be forgiven for thinking so! Astonishing pace, incredibly planted car and a demon of a driver behind the wheel, sublime stuff!

Wish to see this car and evo 4 ( red/black with wings ) that posted month ago climbing pike peaks . Both agility and power needs to to tested it out on that location
All racing drives do that, it is more convenient, faster to respond and as a result more comfortable to drive fast. I do that in everyday drives as a habit, It just needs a bit of practice to be smooth , nothing difficult here
The difference is how people build engines here vs USA. Usa people would use a big gt42 ; here its probably no bigger than a 3582. We dont lower compression also Theres antilag strategy
A few people in the comments below expressed, with a fair degree of certainty, strong suspicions that this car was equipped with and was utilizing an anti-lag system on this climb. Is *that* why the driver was utilizing left foot braking *so* frequently? Do anti-lag systems require you to be on the brakes? I always thought one of the assumed advantages of anti-lag systems was that you *didn’t* have to press the brake pedal in order to order up some turbo spool. Help me out here, folks…. Thanks!
It does use quite the aggressive Anti-Lag system but the left foot braking has nothing to with it directly. If a racing driver has no need to brake with the right foot (like on this car where clutch is not needed), it is more efficient to brake with the left. It takes skill and experience and Liridon certainly shows he has both here ;)
That's probably the 2.0 Mivec turbo engine and the Cvt transmission with shift paddles. My Mitsubishi outlander sport had the 2.0 Mivec engine and Cvt transmission with shift paddles and it was very good. The transmission can be upgraded with a better pump and other parts. You can upgrade the turbo and modify the engine and they are very stout.
It has a proper racing sequential gearbox that can handle all the power and torque (cvts are weak) and it probably costs 3x the price of all your car:))

I can guarantee this isn’t a CVT lol. CVT doesn’t have gears, this clearly does.
