Marvelous adaptation. Would like to see you do a film version of Lovecraft's "The Nameless City", probably one of my favorites along with "The Temple". Again, great job!
This story(The Temple) came after Lovecraft wrote DAGON and both display the Germanophobia that was common at the time(WW1 and immediately thereafter).
Germanophobia is at its peak today and extends to anti-English and anti-American sentiments too (people who are both ethnically Germanic, or were prior to the 1960's commencement of soft-genocide that Germanophobia has wrought) - I suspect it ties into the fact that the Germanic people are marked as the 'Tribe of Amalek' - even The Hague's holocaust memorial says "Remember what Amalek has done to you." not the Germans or the Nazi's, Amalek. And if the Germans are Amalekites that means the English and all her colonies are too, etc. Might be why after the Paris Commune and French Revolution they genocided the Germanic people there (they cited 'pale skin and light hair / eyes may mean they are aristocratic of blood, better safe than sorry' and sent them on death marches and in suicide brigades as conscripts) or why Russia went from R1a haplogroup of light skinned hair and eyed people to nearly middle eastern in appearance. It's almost like communism is seeking to fulfil a Jewish prophecy given that their messiah will rise when the Amalekites are almost extinct and will finish them off. I wonder. Is there any connection between the two? I wonder what we would find if we google image searched "How Jewish was the Bolshevik regime of the late 1910's" whether we'd find any correlation between the two that might indicate why two allegedly disconnected entities would want to genocide an entire people purely for an immutable characteristic of their birth?
@@bashkillszombies we are not Amalekites. We are Europeans, of Indo-European stock. The Amalekites were a Semitic people, just like many of the populations of the Bible.

Well done but the aqua lung type diving gear was not around til after 1943 and the hard hat diver would use hoses (i don't know if it could be used from a U Boat)
All British subs of WWII carried hard hat divers, I had relatives whose role that was in warfare. So it stands to reason that the significantly more technologically advanced Germans had them sooner and better than we ever did. WWI is a bit of a stretch, but then again U boats didn't have windows nor underwater lamps either as the story has, so a little suspension of disbelief is required. :)
The submarine shown in this animation looks more like a WW2 U-boat than a World War One model. World War One and Two subs did not have portals. Am I wrong?
Jeffrey314159 It´s correct. But the submarine from WW1couldn't fall by an ocean floor. By the way, I´m dissatisfied with this version of the movie and I´ill do the movie with subtitles as a silent movie.
Jeffrey314159 They don't. The story proves the rule not to write about what you don't know. It's an early work with some great themes and some terrible writing.
Mark Gouthro I like the Temple myself, even though it has some technical flaws when it comes to U-Boats such as portholes and it’s pretty hard to miss the influence of Jules Verne’s 20.000 Leagues Under the Sea here; It’s still a memorable tale of Lovecraft’s IMHO to me at least.

This is amazing great work
Great video, I especially love the music. Did you make the music yourself?
Sorry, it´s not my music,. It´s music from XVII century...
It sounds like someone sat on a kazoo after eating Taco Bell.

Where is the.dolphins
So what happened? I'm guessing he gone mad because of that coin.
Yes, it´s correct. Lovecraft doesn't explain why all sailors have gone mad. But it´s connected with a coin.
