One thing that stood out to me was how Matt flipped the script on how Cyrus operates. Robbie said he wrote Cyrus as the archetypical perfect noble sibling...and Matt somehow twisted it perfectly to make sense. Robbie's description and writing of his brother became less how Cyrus is and a lot more of how Dorian saw his older brother, which is so cool because it fits with how younger siblings can put the older ones on a pedestal in a sense....But now i really wanna know how much the changes in Cyrus affected how Dorian evolved as a character during his time with the group (and possibly in Kymal but I'm not sure Cyrus is in it much or at all but I'm about to go watch it)
I was thinking exactly the same. That's how Dorian/Brontë saw his brother, not how he actually was! And Robbie's reaction to this was just perfect, too!
Cyrus is definitely a major part of ExU Kymal. I would say he has as major a part as he can whilst being a) an NPC and b) several levels under his brother and the rest of the main cast.
Honestly I saw that too. I am the eldest daughter of 5 girls. And my youngest sister and I left with my mom ( the other sisters were step sisters) and my sister and I are night and day. When I was a teen I was depressed and mostly kept to myself, was kind and respectful and was put on this pedestal to be the perfect daughter and any time I tried to be myself I was scolded and made to feel quilty to stay in the line and they were my parents and I felt like if I tried to speak for myself it was going to be thrown back at me and I already had ptsd also bc of physical fights that led bc of arguments so I try to avoid it and do as I'm told. And my younger sister is so out spoken, speaks her mind, does whatever she wants without thinking of consequences and knows she could get away with anything if she started pouting and screaming. And mom and her would argue alot so I stayed in my room and stayed out of it and sometimes tried to stop it but only made it worse. My sister would do stuff that'll make me upset and she would get upset and that I was upset and somehow turn it on me and I'll be in trouble. Tried to be the big sister but I wasn't placed in a good way so I couldn't be that role model for my younger sister and mom always was either coming home late from work or always drank after work and passed out so I couldn't excel in what I needed to do and even though I was this " perfect" daughter I didn't feel the same and hated being told that. And I know my sister doesn't like it either bc I'm more well liked by our own mom than she is and it drove a wedge in between. I like being an adult and not having that spotlight on me because I don't have to be perfect. Even though it's instilled in me. I know my sister doesn't like seeing me in this light of " oh she's so kind. She's so sweet. She is the perfect daughter" and I did like it but also didn't bc I was kinda forced to grow up and be proper and not goof off bc that's childish and your not a child. But I also like it bc I'm the complete opposite from my mom so ppl who knows my mom and meets me instantly like me bc of who I am.
I can definitely relate. The way I saw my older sister, the image I had of her being perfect, able to do everything so effortlessly, was just wrong. I was a teenager with severe mental health issues (still got em), and the way I was looking at her was distorted. It wasn't until a couple years later that I realised, yeah, she had stuff she struggled with too. They were different things to me, and we are just very different people, but I wasn't able to see that back then. I've never not loved my sister. She has always been so good to me, especially in some of my darkest times. But as much as I am ashamed to admit, there was some resentment, or jealousy, or something buried deep inside me. And I am now so fucking glad to be able to see through that now. To love and appreciate her for who she is, not who I thought she was.
Robbie's chemistry with the main cast and his attention to character details and RP are so ridiculously good. Major bummer that he's not in the main campaign anymore
Personally, as much as I like Robbie, I’m glad we’re back to focusing the main cast, but I’m sure Matt can find ways to bring him in for a session or two here and there.
The only thing more chaotic than Robbie confirming there WAS some romantic tension with Dorian and someone else in Bells Hells is him confirming it and then immediately changing the subject and not telling us who it was!!! Mr Daymond get back here the public needs ANSWERS
Love how much Matt seems to appreciate Liam going that extra mile with his descriptions in combat, that was one of the small things in C2 that I absolutely adored how Caleb would always be so descriptive of casting his spells. I'll never forget those wall of fire and other dramatic moments.

the idea that Laudna was inspired by a nightmare, and not only that, it was such a vivid one, she was later able to USE it in game as an illusion to terrify a guard, is incredible. i bet matt caught that, cause i know she would've told him about that. I mean, just the whole scene after the first time they fought Dugger in the bedroom where Imogen and Dorian were pretending to be a couple in front of the guard had some huuuuge chemistry, I think that's mostly where it stems from. There was a few moments after that too tho
@@akirarika681 nah, that's just his servant maude. If you wanna go down that route, he's technically "engaged" to his date fearne. I've oddly seen chemistry with laudna. The things laudna has made for him and their interactions (especially since they are right next to each other. I think that's why he was so shy to talk about it because the person he was talking about was right there. He was also surprised when marisha asked if it was Imogen. Like he hadn't even considered that.

Listening to the podcast episodes, there we so many times when I could hear Akechi in Dorian’s voice. Or maybe it was just the result of me playing Persona 5 so many times that his voice just stuck in my head and I could no longer unhear it.
There probably will be a crossover episode at some point where the Crown Keepers end up in Jrusar to pay off the bounty and meet the Bells Hells, especially if they start linking connections for things like the underground broomstone trade maybe being connected between Tal-Dorei and Jrusar? In any case having all of them together would be amazing. Opal would definitely get along with Imogen and Laudna, so would Mor and Fearne.

I feel like my brain explodes every time I remember that Robbie's first game was EXU. Like, hot jesus he did so fucking good. He's so good at roleplaying and getting into character, and surprisingly good at the mechanics. The man must have done a lot of studying.
@@carlycchapman Definitely helps with improv and roleplaying, but the fact that he memorized so much 5e rules in so little time that he seemed to know more than Fyra Rai's player (I forget her name, but I adore her too) who has played 5e a few times on screen is crazy to me. He really sat down and studied it before hand and it shows.
OMG, when Robbie started to talk about cooking GrapeNuts, I knew exactly where he was going. GrapeNuts used to have the 'recipe' for hot GN on the box. I have a box of GrapeNuts in my pantry and .... yeah. Cook your GrapeNuts people, it's delicious that way.

Robbie explained PERFECTLY the thing I love the most about D&D. Being able to let go of your preconceived notions about yourself by convincing yourself you are another person, letting you express and feel things in a new way, can lead to some amazing realizations.

Lol, I got so excited, when she started asking and then she said Imogen and I was like "Wait, what?" and Robbie was like "What?" xD I was honestly expecting her to ask about Orym or maybe Fearne but not his servant Maude. xD Even though there was that one acting moment, their other interactions didn't really give me that vibe. Even Laudna with the flying princess carry had more chemistry but okay. xD
@@martophrenia I think Mica would have been a great host, but I agree that cosnidering circumstances around Brian's departure aren't public, a single host would have continued to fuel speculation and comparison to Brian, which would detract from some people's enjoyment of the content. Making it an internal round-table changes the vibe but also avoids any awkwardness of a "replacement"

Matt handled the player count wonderfully and Robbie vibes with the cast so good, (maybe with the exception of the ring swap lol) I hope he makes a return after the exu escapade!
Haha, that moment when Liam guessed the werewolf thing was so funny in hindsight. I almost thought Travis has changed his character, it was such a spot on guess.

I had to skip ahead after the first race, because I couldn't bear watching no one know how to drift, or what looked like automatic steering (didn't even check what CC they were on). But that wasn't infrequent with Game Ranch either - really difficult for me to watch smart people make so many suboptimal decisions.
@@ThatSingingGuy - I'll let you in on a secret. I skipped ahead aswell.. But I couldn't stop thinking about if I was one of them and knew how to play. That would make the experience horrible for the rest because there would be no competition. Atleast here it seemed like everyone had fun being bad at the game.
What Matt is describing at 1:13:32 is one facet I love about DnD 5e. Mechanics and flavor are almost completely divorced in 5e. This allows the rules to remain simple while giving you all the leeway for creativity with your character concepts. I love how this is further enhanced by Backgrounds. Back in the day, if you picked Thief, you were automatically a Criminal. But now, you can choose to be a scout in a respectable military unit thanks to Soldier or a plucky Robin Hood type with Folk Hero, or an inquisitor of the church with Acolyte. The most unlikely matches are possible and spark the imagination.
I'm building a character at the moment who has the acolyte background. You'd expect her to be a cleric, right? Nope. She was basically born and raised into a temple, never really did vibe with the lifestyle, ran away, and she's now a fighter. One that is not above using her past to score free meals and shelter at her former order's temples, and frequently tries to be inspirational but misquotes the sacred texts because "I really wasn't paying attention during Sister Marika's sermons".
@@joshricks1273 Well that one is easy to fix. lol When CR moved the Talks Machina episodes to this channel, they just stuck the After Dark portions onto the end. It's just the last 20-30 minutes of the episode after a momentary break(the live break was normally several minutes, but they edited that out for the VOD). @@AxxLAfriku as others have said have something on the side, even the big names on TH-cam have things on the side, like a paying job or being another type of creator and sell their own merchandise , interesting enough it’s the same for actors and voice actors a lot of them do writing, directing etc..on the side.
As a man with ADHD, Travis' story about getting into whittling for exactly 3 minutes hits hard. I can't even count the number of pseudo-hobbies I've gone through in my life, and I'm only 26! So it's good to see a proud, successful man like Travis admit to the same behavior. He's good representation of people like us. 🙂
I actually did do a Master's essay on D&D and how it impacts dialogue and social growth (and cited CR at times haha). There's quite a lot of interesting information on how TTRPGs can provide people with spaces to explore their own insecurities.
Totally late to the party, but finally able to catch up after a year. Finding out about Laudna, then quicly going back to look at LoVM S1... that episode at the end, and there she is, front and center... followed by the last words of the episode being Marisha saying, "It's us..." Chilling. I love Laudna so much more than I already did.
The beginning is such a trainwreck... I hope it will always stay that way, a fucking beautiful smoking trainwreck 😂 Absolutely can't wait for the next ep
The Flower child encounter in a dream has some interesting history to her. Even when Marisha created the illusion in the game it has some powerful authenticity to it.
I think a lot of people missed it cos it was right at the end! Personally I stopped watching once they got to Mario Kart cos it's not a segment that interests me but having gone back and listened the outro song absolutely does slap.
Travis being completely win-high in Mario Kart on his first win, discovering there's still one more, and still winning overall was the feel-good story of 2022

I'm kinda shocked at how many people ship Dorian-Imogen or Dorian-Laudna. It's not in a bad way, It's just not what I was expecting. But I really enjoyed this first episode of 4-sided dive
I feel like Chetney's current mission has him hunting down the Easter Bunny. In a 2020 NYCC they joked about Chetney taking out all of the holiday characters, so with wolves naturally hunting bunnies and rabbit folk being a thing, it just makes sense. The Easter Bunny might be living in the Feywild as well, which is why he's trying to get in close to Fearne, a possible gateway into that realm so he can complete his mission. That would be a great little arc for him and lead to future one-shots or stories with Chetney centered around the other holidays.
I don't know if this is gonna be a thing...but i hope that happens...I hope Travis and Matt beamed that knowledge into your subconscious to spread the theory to the masses of youtube!

So happy to finally get to hear the cast talk about their characters (and whatever else comes to mind) again! The format worked pretty well - the advantage of no host being that it maximizes time spent for the cast to talk - although I don't really see the point of the Chega tower as of yet. (Hoping the penalty for toppling it involves dancing and/or singing!) Only once a month will be a LONG wait... But I do see the production-side logic in (at a guess) shooting this during the 1-2 week interval between the last main-campaign episode each month and the first of the next.
1:16:00 AHHHH Stephen Colbert is coming back???? His Red Nose Day episode was the first CR episode I ever watched the whole way through! I freakin loved it! That was before I even played D&D, since then I have started DMing and I ended up writing it that whole adventure out. I ran it for players twice now! It's turned out to be an excellent little railroad that's easy to play for new DMs and new players (: Fun fact: when I ran it with my family, and the Necromancer asked "Where do you mortals keep your generosity?" I was NOT prepared at all for my sister to **ACTUALLY ANSWER HIM** and tell him it was in the heart. I answered both in-and-out of character "What? What did you say?" before another PC shushed her. She recovered beautifully with a "Uhhh, I said it's in your... fart!", which started the fight off.
that episode is what introduced me to this strange fellow named Matthew Mercer and subsequently, CritRole. that bee noise had me going all sorts of "what the fuck is up with that"

So I'm watching this after only seeing some highlights of C3 and damn, now I understand why they invited Robbie to be a part of the campaign. He's got a different energy than the rest, he's extremely funny and quick-witted, and it's a joy to listen to him talk here.

I can't stop thinking about a lot of the reveals on this show, but The fact that even the people at the table were not sure what the "Romantic Vibes around the table" was referring to is still the one that gets me the most, and not because I am dying to know who Robbie meant. Robbie had just been going over his intention of seeing whether he could play a character that was truly insecure and deeply vulnerable, but that was also charismatic, if that were possible. I have adored real people who are just like this I admit, when he first brought up the idea I was sure I knew exactly what he was talking about. I had been reading a dynamic between Dorian and Oram that made me think that in the time offscreen between EXU and their arrival in Djrusar there had been more than one of those Romance Manga Trope moments. The ones where both characters see each other blush and acknowledge what it means but it stays so achingly pure despite that. Just a lingering hand on a cheek after a flower is grown over the ear, or a few flute notes lingering in the wind in a way that only those attuned to that element would really appreciate. It was so obvious and adorable to me until Marisha got all cute and excited and yelled Imogen's name at Robbie. I was immediately impressed that what had looked obvious to me could have been so easily applied elsewhere. I think the whole table really knocked it out of the park playing together and making this kind of content frenzy possible.
I really hope this, or a program likes this sticks. I miss the extra insight and the look into the actors behind critical role, the likes of Between the sheets/Talks machina so much. I’ll talk all of the gang talking about the show as I can get. Thanks guys!
I'm sure it's been predicted already but I'm putting my stake in for this prediction: I always thought that Dorian's crush/love interest was obvious... It's got to be Orem! Just look back to their interactions on EXA and it becomes a little more obvious.
Robbie just gave me a great idea for a character (or part of it at least). A shy bard that tries to become more outgoing and social. So the opposite approach to what Robbie did, because I'm pretty shy and I think it would be a great way to learn to become less shy as well. I actually was kind of scared to play a bard *because* they're normally supposed to be charismatic. The other part of the character is that he's bi, like me, which is also pretty new for me :-)
This is so damn casual and I love that. I keep laughing and giggling along, it just so, I don’t know the word… it’s like that stupid warmth you get around your close friends are just hanging out. There’s gotta be a word for that.
I’m glad they went with this concept instead of bringing in a new host to replace Foster. It will be hard to find anyone who cares and understands all the campaigns, characters and lore as much as Brian, not to mention the skill to host and chemistry with the casts. Edit: Speculating about Brian’s departure is unnecessary and harmful. He’s clearly still in good terms with the casts, based on their social media posts. Laura even gave a shoutout to him and Talks when 4 Sided Dice premiered. I know many of us miss him, but there’s no need to play the blaming game.

Cyrus is definitely a major part of ExU Kymal. I would say he has as major a part as he can whilst being a) an NPC and b) several levels under his brother and the rest of the main cast.
Honestly I saw that too. I am the eldest daughter of 5 girls. And my youngest sister and I left with my mom ( the other sisters were step sisters) and my sister and I are night and day. When I was a teen I was depressed and mostly kept to myself, was kind and respectful and was put on this pedestal to be the perfect daughter and any time I tried to be myself I was scolded and made to feel quilty to stay in the line and they were my parents and I felt like if I tried to speak for myself it was going to be thrown back at me and I already had ptsd also bc of physical fights that led bc of arguments so I try to avoid it and do as I'm told. And my younger sister is so out spoken, speaks her mind, does whatever she wants without thinking of consequences and knows she could get away with anything if she started pouting and screaming. And mom and her would argue alot so I stayed in my room and stayed out of it and sometimes tried to stop it but only made it worse. My sister would do stuff that'll make me upset and she would get upset and that I was upset and somehow turn it on me and I'll be in trouble. Tried to be the big sister but I wasn't placed in a good way so I couldn't be that role model for my younger sister and mom always was either coming home late from work or always drank after work and passed out so I couldn't excel in what I needed to do and even though I was this " perfect" daughter I didn't feel the same and hated being told that. And I know my sister doesn't like it either bc I'm more well liked by our own mom than she is and it drove a wedge in between. I like being an adult and not having that spotlight on me because I don't have to be perfect. Even though it's instilled in me. I know my sister doesn't like seeing me in this light of " oh she's so kind. She's so sweet. She is the perfect daughter" and I did like it but also didn't bc I was kinda forced to grow up and be proper and not goof off bc that's childish and your not a child. But I also like it bc I'm the complete opposite from my mom so ppl who knows my mom and meets me instantly like me bc of who I am.
I can definitely relate. The way I saw my older sister, the image I had of her being perfect, able to do everything so effortlessly, was just wrong. I was a teenager with severe mental health issues (still got em), and the way I was looking at her was distorted. It wasn't until a couple years later that I realised, yeah, she had stuff she struggled with too. They were different things to me, and we are just very different people, but I wasn't able to see that back then.
I've never not loved my sister. She has always been so good to me, especially in some of my darkest times. But as much as I am ashamed to admit, there was some resentment, or jealousy, or something buried deep inside me. And I am now so fucking glad to be able to see through that now. To love and appreciate her for who she is, not who I thought she was.
Robbie's chemistry with the main cast and his attention to character details and RP are so ridiculously good. Major bummer that he's not in the main campaign anymore

I think that's why he was so shy to talk about it because the person he was talking about was right there. He was also surprised when marisha asked if it was Imogen. Like he hadn't even considered that.

To be honest I only want to see him showing up one more time and actually going through with the joke and says he had claimed his brothers bounty.
There probably will be a crossover episode at some point where the Crown Keepers end up in Jrusar to pay off the bounty and meet the Bells Hells, especially if they start linking connections for things like the underground broomstone trade maybe being connected between Tal-Dorei and Jrusar? In any case having all of them together would be amazing. Opal would definitely get along with Imogen and Laudna, so would Mor and Fearne.

I feel like my brain explodes every time I remember that Robbie's first game was EXU. Like, hot jesus he did so fucking good. He's so good at roleplaying and getting into character, and surprisingly good at the mechanics. The man must have done a lot of studying.
Robbie is also a professional Voice Actor like the rest of the group, which probably helps a little bit.
@@carlycchapman Definitely helps with improv and roleplaying, but the fact that he memorized so much 5e rules in so little time that he seemed to know more than Fyra Rai's player (I forget her name, but I adore her too) who has played 5e a few times on screen is crazy to me. He really sat down and studied it before hand and it shows.

I had to skip ahead after the first race, because I couldn't bear watching no one know how to drift, or what looked like automatic steering (didn't even check what CC they were on). But that wasn't infrequent with Game Ranch either - really difficult for me to watch smart people make so many suboptimal decisions.

What Matt is describing at 1:13:32 is one facet I love about DnD 5e.
Mechanics and flavor are almost completely divorced in 5e. This allows the rules to remain simple while giving you all the leeway for creativity with your character concepts.
I love how this is further enhanced by Backgrounds. Back in the day, if you picked Thief, you were automatically a Criminal. But now, you can choose to be a scout in a respectable military unit thanks to Soldier or a plucky Robin Hood type with Folk Hero, or an inquisitor of the church with Acolyte. The most unlikely matches are possible and spark the imagination.
I'm building a character at the moment who has the acolyte background. You'd expect her to be a cleric, right? Nope. She was basically born and raised into a temple, never really did vibe with the lifestyle, ran away, and she's now a fighter. One that is not above using her past to score free meals and shelter at her former order's temples, and frequently tries to be inspirational but misquotes the sacred texts because "I really wasn't paying attention during Sister Marika's sermons".
This show has the informative talkshow elements of Talks Machina, the chaos of Yeehaw Game Ranch, AND the wild unhinged energy of After Dark.

@@AxxLAfriku as others have said have something on the side, even the big names on TH-cam have things on the side, like a paying job or being another type of creator and sell their own merchandise , interesting enough it’s the same for actors and voice actors a lot of them do writing, directing etc..on the side.
As a man with ADHD, Travis' story about getting into whittling for exactly 3 minutes hits hard. I can't even count the number of pseudo-hobbies I've gone through in my life, and I'm only 26! So it's good to see a proud, successful man like Travis admit to the same behavior. He's good representation of people like us. 🙂
I actually did do a Master's essay on D&D and how it impacts dialogue and social growth (and cited CR at times haha). There's quite a lot of interesting information on how TTRPGs can provide people with spaces to explore their own insecurities.

Totally late to the party, but finally able to catch up after a year. Finding out about Laudna, then quicly going back to look at LoVM S1... that episode at the end, and there she is, front and center... followed by the last words of the episode being Marisha saying, "It's us..." Chilling. I love Laudna so much more than I already did.

The Flower child encounter in a dream has some interesting history to her. Even when Marisha created the illusion in the game it has some powerful authenticity to it.

I think a lot of people missed it cos it was right at the end! Personally I stopped watching once they got to Mario Kart cos it's not a segment that interests me but having gone back and listened the outro song absolutely does slap.
Travis being completely win-high in Mario Kart on his first win, discovering there's still one more, and still winning overall was the feel-good story of 2022

I'm kinda shocked at how many people ship Dorian-Imogen or Dorian-Laudna. It's not in a bad way, It's just not what I was expecting. But I really enjoyed this first episode of 4-sided dive

I feel like Chetney's current mission has him hunting down the Easter Bunny. In a 2020 NYCC they joked about Chetney taking out all of the holiday characters, so with wolves naturally hunting bunnies and rabbit folk being a thing, it just makes sense. The Easter Bunny might be living in the Feywild as well, which is why he's trying to get in close to Fearne, a possible gateway into that realm so he can complete his mission. That would be a great little arc for him and lead to future one-shots or stories with Chetney centered around the other holidays.
I don't know if this is gonna be a thing...but i hope that happens...I hope Travis and Matt beamed that knowledge into your subconscious to spread the theory to the masses of youtube!

So happy to finally get to hear the cast talk about their characters (and whatever else comes to mind) again! The format worked pretty well - the advantage of no host being that it maximizes time spent for the cast to talk - although I don't really see the point of the Chega tower as of yet. (Hoping the penalty for toppling it involves dancing and/or singing!)
Only once a month will be a LONG wait... But I do see the production-side logic in (at a guess) shooting this during the 1-2 week interval between the last main-campaign episode each month and the first of the next.

Fun fact: when I ran it with my family, and the Necromancer asked "Where do you mortals keep your generosity?" I was NOT prepared at all for my sister to **ACTUALLY ANSWER HIM** and tell him it was in the heart. I answered both in-and-out of character "What? What did you say?" before another PC shushed her. She recovered beautifully with a "Uhhh, I said it's in your... fart!", which started the fight off.
that episode is what introduced me to this strange fellow named Matthew Mercer and subsequently, CritRole.

Honestly I feel like every theater kid has said and done something to this effect at least once during their time on a set or stage.
So I'm watching this after only seeing some highlights of C3 and damn, now I understand why they invited Robbie to be a part of the campaign. He's got a different energy than the rest, he's extremely funny and quick-witted, and it's a joy to listen to him talk here.

I can't stop thinking about a lot of the reveals on this show, but The fact that even the people at the table were not sure what the "Romantic Vibes around the table" was referring to is still the one that gets me the most, and not because I am dying to know who Robbie meant.
Robbie had just been going over his intention of seeing whether he could play a character that was truly insecure and deeply vulnerable, but that was also charismatic, if that were possible. I have adored real people who are just like this
I admit, when he first brought up the idea I was sure I knew exactly what he was talking about. I had been reading a dynamic between Dorian and Oram that made me think that in the time offscreen between EXU and their arrival in Djrusar there had been more than one of those Romance Manga Trope moments. The ones where both characters see each other blush and acknowledge what it means but it stays so achingly pure despite that. Just a lingering hand on a cheek after a flower is grown over the ear, or a few flute notes lingering in the wind in a way that only those attuned to that element would really appreciate. It was so obvious and adorable to me until Marisha got all cute and excited and yelled Imogen's name at Robbie.
I was immediately impressed that what had looked obvious to me could have been so easily applied elsewhere. I think the whole table really knocked it out of the park playing together and making this kind of content frenzy possible.
First campaign episode, I thought, “Wait, did Travis choose to play an old dude just so he can fall asleep when the RP is boring?”
The show is already a 10/10. Great job everyone involved! Can’t wait to see more of this!💚💚💚
I really hope this, or a program likes this sticks. I miss the extra insight and the look into the actors behind critical role, the likes of Between the sheets/Talks machina so much.

Robbie just gave me a great idea for a character (or part of it at least). A shy bard that tries to become more outgoing and social. So the opposite approach to what Robbie did, because I'm pretty shy and I think it would be a great way to learn to become less shy as well. I actually was kind of scared to play a bard *because* they're normally supposed to be charismatic.
The other part of the character is that he's bi, like me, which is also pretty new for me :-)
My kobold bard is basically that.

I’m glad they went with this concept instead of bringing in a new host to replace Foster. It will be hard to find anyone who cares and understands all the campaigns, characters and lore as much as Brian, not to mention the skill to host and chemistry with the casts.
Edit: Speculating about Brian’s departure is unnecessary and harmful. He’s clearly still in good terms with the casts, based on their social media posts. Laura even gave a shoutout to him and Talks when 4 Sided Dice premiered. I know many of us miss him, but there’s no need to play the blaming game.
