A very good review! Could you please do one on how you set it up? Are the jacks (if you have any) and stabilizers automatic, or do you have to manually set them down?
Thanks for the comment TiaH. The stabilizers are the drop down type, essentially a quick release drop down and then a crank to extend them to the ground. Good idea on a set up video. Hi David, can you please tell me what brand and size (Watts) inverter you fitted, is it a pure sine wave inverter , cheers.
Hi Rob, sorry, my inverter died and I have since replaced it with a Kings generator. Can’t remember the brand.

Is this an American model or something only available in Australia? The design seems very European and does not resemble most of what we have seen in US..
Dell Anderson - Hi, this model is available in Australia, not sure about other countries. Us Aussies have some specific requirements compared to the US, and tend to be smaller vans with less timber. Thanks for watching
US Jayco and Australia Jayco are totally different entities with different quality standards, models etc
Hi, I have a 2017 Starcraft outback ,had nothing but problem after problem, no reasonable service facilities around Australia,A/c rotted circuit board, fridge not transferring to gas, constant water leaks , cupboards falling apart,wheels out of alignment, can’t get aligned nobody want to touch it, if it’s warrantee.Brakes not working due to broken plastic connectors, tyres going flat after dropping pressure for dirt roads,stereo/CD not installed correctly.,external vents fell off, rollout awning not returning, Have to return home from 12 month trip to have repairs, never again purchase a Jayco,
Holy moly! You really have had a bad run. Personally I owned a 2016 Expanda and then a 2017 Starcraft. Both have had issues but were fixed relatively easy and without drama. I'm not sure if other manufacturers are any better though. I would still buy another Jayco, in fact we are considering updating again later in the year. One thing about Jayco, they really hold their price. Hope things smooth out for you. Cheers for watching.

Yes we have that too. I just turn it off at the tap under the sink when not in use. Will get Jayco to fix it next time I'm in there.

I'm wondering how you are using your Jayco, it sounds a bit like you are doing some off road stuff.
the Outback is not an off road van and Jayco will tell you that, it may be considered a semi off road which means graded dirt roads but not kilometres of corrugations, if you want to do that they have the Adventurer which is built for Off Road use.
I just purchased the 2018 Jayco Journey 19.61 - 2 Outback good value for money and I'm very happy with it so far only time will tell what problems I will encounter. Jayco can't be to bad as you see them everywhere, you pull up in a caravan park and over 50% of the vans you see are Jayco and most of the owners seem to very pleased with them that's why I purchased a Jayco.
Fiberglass chip easily?...umm...corvettes and boats made out of fiberglass...doesn't seem too be a problem for those
Shame the Bed is right at the door entry. spoils the privacy and should be other end. otheriwse nice van

Can't hear you & the sound is at max!!!
Nicolas Dupuis - sorry bout that. Some devices are having sound issues with this videos sound. PC's seem to work fine but not so good on phone or TV. Sound improves when I head in the van at the half way point

Lou Johnson sorry mate. For some reason some devices have very quiet sound for this video. Not sure why. Works fine on PC

Weve owned a Jayco Outback for 5 years and dragged it all over Australia without issue??
I used to sell them and have sold often the fifth or even sixth Jayco to the same people. Theres a lot of them out there so you do hear about more Jaycos breaking. In the main thiugh the things that go wrong are appliances which are fitted to just about every other van make. Its just statistics
