Don’t feel bad the same thing happened to me. Lol. I watched your video for help and I laughed. Also the older ones if you noticed. Don’t have the nice oil fill cap above the filter housing
Why would you think a Yamaha filter would fit a Honda Rubicon?? Always use Honda OEM parts. I recommend you DON'T grease near the oil system or the O-ring.
Mark it was a kawasaki filter and yes they fit Honda quads. That particular one fits the rancher models. Mines a Rubicon so it didn't work. And grease on the seal won't hurt. Thanks so much for your advice. I'll be sure to watch your videos.
No it was break in oil. I bought the bike new. The kawasaki filter crosses just fine for the rancher but not this 520 rubicon. Best off sticking with the honda filter anyway.
Yamaha dealer is close too my home. That kawaski filter is identitical to hondas version for the rancher bikes. My mistake rubicon filter is different. Thanks for watching.
I bought an oil change kit from Honda. They sent me the wrong filter to. When I called other places they give me a part number that does not match the original filter to the bike
They are worth the money. They handle dead fall really well. Muskeg they work ok. However they are pretty heavy carcass. I only run about 3 lbs in them cause they are pretty stiff. They are decent on gravel roads still smooth also.
It’s a 8mm on all the manual transmissions. The filter also goes the opposite direction on the manual models.
