I've never had any nutria before, but try soaking it with Budweiser over night. That gamey smell and taste will not be that noticeable.

@@PelicanBoneOutdoors that goes with all wild game in general. If it smells rancid it probably is and I’m not taking the risk. I’ve done some trappin on some small animals in Nj and sometimes u gotta just take the skin and throw the meat
