My personal favorite clairnet has the larger bore and the deeper richer sound. I had always played on the Dynamic H LeBlanc until my MS robbed me of my ability to play. The 2nd clairnet you played, in my opinion, sounded best to me. Thank you for your time. I miss playing so very much. My clairnet and my music was truly my 1st love.
1:01 It is perhaps helpful to note that the upper joint tenons on the Présénce & Privilege are actually 0.5mm longer than their Buffet/Yamaha/Royal counterparts, hence the reason why their stock barrels are often 0.5mm longer than the Buffets'- but the bore lengths(i.e. sans sockets) are the same, as are the socket diameters. Thus many barrels designed to fit Buffet/Yamaha/Royal clarinets(including the Corbin barrels favored by Dr. Sanders here) would work on both the Selmer Présénce and Privilege(but NOT the Signature or Recital as they use VERY different barrel lengths), barring of course the player's personal preferences. Just a note to soothe those players out there who are too fond of their current barrels! PS I personally tested this with the Fobes barrels on both the Présénce & Privilege, as did Jason Alder(my mentor)
I agree they are all great horns but I liked best the Muse Have you reviewed the older Signature and Recital clarinets as they have 2 unique tone qualities Thank you for your videos much appreciated. God bless you Bill. UK
Signatures are great! I played on a pair during graduate school. However, these are the 3 models that generate the most interest from my customers. I have yet to receive a serious inquiry about Signatures and Recitals!

Thank you for producing this video-it’s excellent. You do an exceptional job comparing the clarinets.

How about the signatures?

You read my mind on those two clarinets. I tried a Recital at TMEA a few years ago. Was heavenly!!!!
The First one Sounds better
Yeah, the Muse!
You need to stand up to play your instrument to its full potential.
not necessarily it all depends on your abdominal control
