- The US Secret Service pushed back against recent criticism from right-wing media personalities and lawmakers blaming female agents for security failures during the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump. In the wake of the shooting, some right-wing media figures focused their attention on the female agents on stage with Trump, claiming they couldn’t properly protect someone bigger and taller than themselves, or that they didn’t act in a professional manner. You are on the right track. When you have a 6'2" president----have the close agents be at least that tall----man or woman. Don't protect someone 6' 3" with 5' 10" guards. Not sure if that happened----but it should not happen.

President Trump is 6'3", the average female is 5'4", math is math. A 5'4" agent may be fine covering 5'2" Kamala Harris for example. This is not a gender issue, it is a stature issue. I would be fine if the women guarding President Trump was 6ft+, but she was not.
Do you want to impose a height minimum, or do you want to say no women can join? According to your justification for gender discrimination, a tall woman could be a Secret Service agent. So it's not a matter of being a woman, then.

There is video of the incident, in case you missed it? One SS agent hides behind her charge, the other can’t get her gun in its holster. I won’t single them women out, the sniper should never allowed those shots to be made, but it doesn’t change the fact that unqualified people should not be in these types of positions(and please don’t try and make the “how do you know she’s not qualified” argument, she’s a foot shorter than the person she’s supposed to

They were the 2nd String. That is clear. The initial 5 players on the scene did just fine. Perhaps a slight tweak in procedures to at least discuss ensuring the Protectee stays under cover. But that is purely up to the protectee. They tried at least. Now the management and stuff beyond that is in question.

There's a difference between saying that women in general are unqualified and pointing out that the three women on that extraction team looked like the keystone cops.
It's a smokescreen by the Secret Service to cover up their gross negligence of duty in security of the site. The fact that the Secret Service couldn't see a rooftop as a hiding place and vantage point from which to shoot people is incredulous. The fault for this amount of laxity starts at the top.

Unfortunately it's not just right ring, and it's just not men. When it comes to the physical ability of a man vs a women, men have the advantage, and we shouldn't be lowing qualifications for one of the most potentially physically demanding jobs in he world. Women also have advantages, but aren't suited to being a literal body guard. Everyone is equal in value, but not equal in ability. You don't need to feel bad about the obvious truth. That said there are a very small percentage of woman that can meet the challenge, but they are the exception.
