Out on the trail, my buddy Everett and I hit the snow in the forested area, down by the creek. These rigs are put together using the "Art Attack Snowmobile" kits - Here's a link in case you want one: (www.artattacksnowmobile.net/). Unfortunately, I have already run my rig (the green one) very hard in previous videos.. and my spur gear gave out early, BUT! We still got some epic shots of the Red Sled doing its thing! My spur gear broke a tooth.. and the farther I went.. the worse it got. That's what I get for using plastic gears.. Steel will be the way!

The Red Sled is powered by a Castle Creations setup: Mamba Monster 2 and 2200kv on 3s Lipo (11.1v)
The Green Sled is powered by Tekin Racing - RX8 Gen 2 & 2250kv setup (4s lipo 14.4v)

That was awesome buddy !!! Too bad the spur stripped on the green machine cause the onboard shots of the sleds in the twisties was EPIC !!!
The video came out great nonetheless !!! Small runners under the skis and a bit more weight in the nose of the sled and you're golden dude.
That's what it's all about, having fun RCing with your best bud, nothing beats that !!!

get some tiny steel rods, bend each end up and thread it or find small threaded rod, so you can use little nuts (something like a 8/32 nut) as carbides, that should give it enough grip on the hardpacked snowed, make ssure the front at least is angled so it doesnt put too much resistance when it goes into the snow
Run, break, fix its ok medic it's what the hobby it about.

Hi ive been looking at getting an rc sled but have realized that they are super pricey on the Art Attack website. im wondering if you have any sugestions on anything a bit cheaper that is electric and can still be jumped and go quick.
That spur gear is not lined up with the gear below it. (It looks like the drivers side of the motor is sitting higher than the passengers side).
Yes skegs on your skis would work great.

You should tilt the rear of the skis a little bit up so you can reverse a little better! For this upcoming winter

Make a crud wood sled for the back and put gas cans, tarps, rifle, and servival stuff

The slow motor reaction noises had me rolling on the ground from laughter! I think this will be my next rig for next winter looks more versatile than a truck with paddle tires or chains
