@@KOTSOSMC2002 this is true, it's definitely not a new thing for sonic to have an early 2000s style of rock music but it's most definitely hilarious having people be like "why is this music in a sonic game"
I was jaw dropped like everyone I just know Super Sonic get max rings but if you think about it Sonic does have a few good rock songs by Crush 40 so it actually does make sense.
The solo in Find Your Flame, is not suppose to repeat itself. Yesmen10 did that initially since the song was not fully out and the game itself forces the solo during the ending cutscene of the boss.
By the way, the vocals you've been hearing with the screaming and the chorus were all sung by Kellin Quinn. Hes the singer for the band Sleeping With Sirens. He did the vocals for all these songs besides the rap part in Find Your Flame
Damn, I KNEW that voice sounded familiar! Never listened to the OST until this video and spent the whole video going "I swear I KNOW that singer! Who tf is it??".
And the cool part is the rap part was done by the people who made infinite’s theme in sonic forces, which you (much like me) knew but couldn’t put your finger on it until being told and confirmed
Sonic Frontiers doesn't have any more boss themes but it does have three more songs for the credits: "Dear Father", "Vandalize", and "One Way Dream". It'd be cool to see your thoughts on those songs too! Yesmen10 does have lyric videos for them too so it should work out perfectly
Love watching these reactions. It's funny to me when people are like "This is Sonic?!" This has always been what Sonic was; diehard metal and cheesy but unforgettable buttrock. Sonic just hasn't really been this way for a long time.
Sonic has been predominantly hard rock/pop rock and electronic but this is the first time they literally went proper metalcore on Sonic. Glad they got sleeping with sirens vocalist to do this he knows what's up
Yes but the most badass part is, undefeatable would be a final boss song in sa2 or unleashed But here in frontiers? Nah thats the first boss, each boss feels like its own final boss
It's cool how well the music fits in with each fight too Like break through it all saying don't look down and talking about falling a lot when they're flying And find your flame saying won't back down and here to go beyond my limit, because knight is the biggest titan and probably the strongest and sonics pushing his limits
I’m glad to see Sonic Frontiers being covered, Tomoya Ohtani has done plenty of rock for Sonic before, but he never went quite as hard as he did on these tracks. Also props to Kellin Quinn, his amazing vocals really bring the hype on the tracks he did the vocals for (Undefeatable, Break Through It All, Find Your Flame).
I always 100% the islands before I do the boss fights whenever I play the game. It really makes the songs feel way more satisfying after the time spent preparing for the big fight.
another track from the sonic franchise that i think you'll enjoy a lot is "boss: big arms" from sonic generations 3ds, it's absolutely phenomenal! it's a remixed version of a song with the same name from sonic 3, and completely knocked it out of the park
They did NOT have to go that hard for Big Arms on the 3DS. Worst thing is you can trash it in a matter of seconds. While it's not this style of music, while we're on that topic (and it haunts me daily), Listen to both acts of Casino Night Zone. The first is basically a slightly updated version of the original..... but the second is like full on Jazz and while I'm not the biggest fan that shit is still one of my favourite tracks in the franchise.
I enjoy infinites theme, it's very similar to this style, being a mix of rap and hard rock, but god that ending part hits hard The synth in the music for the "look around you and tell me what you really see" part gives me chills
Not to get too much into the story and spoil it for you, the first 3 boss themes are a duality of Sonic and his 3 friend's character and how he respects and understands them, and they do right back. Undefeatable- Sonic and Amy's always bright and cheery attitude and capability to face their fears and become "undefeatable" in the face of danger. Break Through It All- Sonic and Knuckle's push forward through adversity and warrior spirit. The ability to go head first into danger, "breaking through it all" for your friends. Find Your Flame- Sonic and Tail's friendship, but Tails wanting to show his own capabilities, not just being "Sonic's friend", but a genius, hero, and person in his own right. He wants to "find his flame". I'm here- Sonic's eventual camaraderie and willingness to be there for his friends and loved ones. Shared with the "antagonist" of the game, Sage.
One way dream- This Song shows the four together showing the world what they can do together and will always have each other's backs (but this song also shows the meaning of SEGA and sonic team in the near future) I'm with you- Sonic, Sage team up to protect the world and even tho Sonic and Sage are on different sides, They'll have to protect the life and the people they love and care about
A lot of songs have that sort of duality with the characters Like I am all of me for instance It represents shadow as a character in shadow the hedgehog, not across the series but his specific arc in that game He's made out by everyone to be a hero or a villain but in reality hes neither, hes just shadow He fights for himself but he's not a villain He's not just another sonic or another black arms He's just shadow, and the song represents that
In "Find Your Flame" the second guitar solo doesn't even exist, they ripped the audio straight out of the game and they let the solo play twice when they were fighting the boss (Knight).
I'm always surprised how many people don't notice that the second solo is literally copy/pasted. I think more people have heard the extended version than the official release.
The best part of this game was slowly discovering the story of the ancients. SEGA and Sonic Team put an immense amount of effort into the story, one that the boss themes hint at to if you pay attention.
Ikr? A lot of people say the lore and story are lackluster and sonic isn't meant to have story but it's actually really good We finally learn what the chaos emeralds are and why they exist, because ever since sonic 1 we always just assumed they were always an in universe gimmick and it's never been explained or questioned And not only do we learn that, we learn where chaos came from, and the best part, it gives us a bigger mystery with the master emerald It's said that the chaos emeralds cause the koco to crash into mobius when the master emerald draws them there, so the master emerald and chaos emeralds have always had a relation, yet the ancients didnt make the master emerald, it was already on mobius before they got there, so who made it?
It is finally time, the moment we all have been waiting for XP, these are easily one of the best Boss battle themes in recent years, glad you're finally reacting to them :D And btw Trust me when I say, This has been the standards for Sonic boss fight music for Decades Sonic has always been known for having insane soundtrack Definitely recommend ya listening to other music from other games one day
Honestly, I don't really know which of these are my favorite. All of them are simply amazing! Thank you so much to listening to them and giving us your musical knowledge and personal opinions!
@Another_youtube_animator They're from multiple perspectives, Sonic's, the Ancients piloting the Titans, and Sonic's allies. Each song points out Sonic's perspective of the corresponding friend on each island as he sees them as well as how they relate to the Ancients as well. Update 3 might show more of these parallels.
4:44 But I still advise you to start playing the game somewhere at the end of this year. There will be a global update that will fix some parts of the story. +add a lot of new things to it that were not included in the release.
Glad you enjoyed these! I love these songs so much! There are three more vocal themes and one more boss theme from this game if you’re looking for more. Vandalize (watch out for copyright), One Way Dream, and Dear Father all play at the end of the game during the credits. And I’m With You plays during the true final boss (this one doesn’t have vocals but it’s still good).
Having played the game, yes I would say the lyrics, although vague, does relate to the story. In face, I think this song can actually be applied to parts of the game we hadn't even learned about yet at the time we hear it. It seems to be connected to these creatures we learn about in the game in relation to the main threat and Sonic's interference with the situation. And yes, it's saying Sonic/the player is undefeatable, and therefore we can bare the burdens that were placed on the victims of the past (in this game). "It's time to face your fear. Cause when your time has come and gone, I'll be the one to carry on" especially applies to the game's story. Most Sonic songs are vague enough to just be a song on its own while pertaining to the game as well.
@@carso1500 I don’t think it was there last chance in the way people think. And I wouldn’t say they “nailed it” but they did something that didn’t feel slopped together. Still reused stages for Cyberspace with physics that have seen better days but the open zone physics were great.
There's nothing quite like people out of the loop reacting to Sonic Frontiers music. Nobody expects it to go anywhere near as hard as it does. It's so fucking good.
Love seeing newcomers to sonic music cuz I can show them one of the biggest bangers they've heard in their life and they'll be like "jeez, this must just be a good song or something, there's no way the rest is this good" and I can say "actually this is a bad song by sonic standards" cuz every song is just that good
The Cyberspace levels in Frontiers have some killer tracks too, it's basically like a whole EDM album. My personal favorite is Level 1-2; "Flowing" I think it's called.
The songs are a mixture with their meaning. Some tells a bit about Sonic, some about the Ancients and some about Sega themselves. So for instance, "Running from the past is a losing game," is a reference to how they are now trying to embrace the past and make things right and more coherent.
In the lyrics video, they got some of the lyrics wrong like replacing “you won’t fade out” with “you won’t be here” in the chorus of break through it all, replacing “I can bury the pain” with “I can bury the blade” in the verse of Find your Flame and replacing “you cheat and you steal” with “staying still”, which I have no idea how that happened.
For "I'm here", it's actually the main theme of the game but they used it as song for the final boss. That's probably why the video didn't say "Supreme theme".
I mean, Sonic music was always superior, but with this they shot past every limit. These are the greatest songs I ever heard in a game, and I played a lot of games.
Find Your Flame is honestly the only song i love every part of, in the others there are some bits i may not like but that one? I swear Knight's OST is a masterpiece.
24:35 the solo repeating is not really part of the song, it's because this Sonic Frontiers boss fights has a mechanic that the music syncs with what is happening in the screen, the last part that plays after the solo only plays if you defeat the boss, cuz this part accompanies Sonic killing the boss in sync, and probably the person playing the game was too slow and didn't killed the boss in time to sync up perfectly But in the version the sega released of this song, the solo doesn't repeat
There are more themes from Sonic Frontiers due to their being a final update. New Final Boss theme, new ending theme, and new playable character themes
I'm really happy you heard the boss themes, you could some other time react to the rest of the soundtrack like the: cyberspace, island themes and the other vocal tracks
I have a list of 4 songs for you to make another video, one you forgot from Frontiers, and the rest are from other games, see... 1 vandalize (from Sonic Frontiers). 2 infinite theme from Sonic forces. 3 endless possibility from Sonic unleashed(best Sonic game) 4 his world from Sonic 06 (pathetic game with incredible musics) I hope I helped and I'll wait for a response and a possible video :)
They went this hard for Sonic because this game is Sonic's comeback game! The only problem is that a lot of Sonic fans can't make up their mind on if they like the game or not. But I love literally everything about this game!
Secret Rings and Black Knight had vocal themes for all Boss Fights that went hard, Blue on the Run for SR and Fight The Knight for BK are my favorites.
if you never heard the old sonic music, i recommend live and learn, infinite theme, endless possibilities and his world, they're the most famous ones but games like shadow the hedgehog has a lot of rock music :>
Oh yeah if I recall the performer of the rap section in _Find Your Flame_ is an artist they brought back after the track he did in Sonic Forces _Infinite_ of the boss Infinite. Otherwise all vocals are done by Kellin Quinn of Sleeping With Sirens.
I don't know if it's intended but I like to think that all of these bosses have these themes and lyrics attributed to them, not sonic or the player. Because in their eyes, this is the fight of their life
The guy doing the rap in Find your Flame also sung Infinite from Sonic Forces. Actually Find your flame does have some small elements from Infinite, and I swear there's a bit of 'Fist bump' in Break through it all (my favourite of the vocal tracks from Sonic frontiers). Both Infinite and Fist Bump aren't on the same level as these, though Infinite feels like it really laid the groundwork. It's edgy AF and us, the fanbase, kinda made fun of this.... but it really did work. Too bad the game and the character (Infinite) squandered their potential. If you're curious you might just want to check it out in your own time =) Annnd well one of my other favourite tracks of the game is one called 'Fishing Vibes' .... because it is such a chill vibe. I appreciate that part of the game so much since it's a break from the chaos/
@@artistanthony1007 the music, the open exploration, als9 secret rings was on rails, and I've never personally played unleashed. Ontop if that it's the first time in a long time i felt the characters were canonical too themselves
to answer your question at 12:30 the reason sonic is flying is because he has absorbed the power of the chaos emeralds, allowing for him to transform into super sonic (the reason why sonic is glowing gold in the boss fights) the form grants him invincibility and the ability to fly, this is far from the first game that shows super sonic having the ability to fly, as in sonic 2 if you get the true ending super sonic will fly back down to the earth after defeating eggman
I'm here has 2 version's of it. The Intro version and a Boss version. The boss one is missing most of the lyric's however so the main one is honestly better, and there also is the theme of The End, which has no vocal's but is really atmospheric
"Why did they go so hard for Sonic?" Well, it's a bit of a tradition ever since the start of modern era. If there's one thing that rarely disappoint it's the Supersonic-related songs. xD
Ngl when I first played this my exact words were for each boss Giganto “WHO DECIDED TO LET MGR AND DRAGONFORCE CREATE MUSIC FOR SAGA THERE IS NO REASON FOR THIS KINDA HYPE FOR THE FIRST F***ING BOSS” Wyvern “WHO GAVE DRAGONS RIFTS BECAUSE THANK YOU I FEEL DETERMINED AND WANT TO KEEP GOING” Knight “INFINITE?!?! WHY ARE YOU HERE HOW DID YOU GET HERE” Supreme “OH SHI SAD BEGINNING THIS IS GONNA BE GOOD (5 seconds later) *psychotic head banging*”
3:17 I can summarize why they NEEDED to this hard, the Sonic IP was in shambles and if this didn’t succeed, they would’ve lost all hope from fans like myself. So if it didn’t go THIS hard, or was THIS good, they might’ve lost Sonic from all the bad decisions Sega made with the games before this. But that’s just my personal take on it.😅 5:26 I think the song was a mean to say, “The Sonic IP is Undefeatable” because, based off of what I heard from interviews, the team working on this was scared this would fail horribly like recent Sonic games that people have harped on HARD. But that’s my interpretation.
Another 3 songs from the game you can listen to are Vandalize (easy or normal Credits song), One Way Dream (Hard mode Credits song) and I think the third one is called Im With You (Credits Song)
For the weird repetition for "Find your Flame", I think that's because those videos were made before the official CD release, so he maybe took the files from the game that have loops and made a bad cut. Official version have the Solo leading directly to the quiet part, not repeating before
FUN FACT! Those lyrics are incorrect, it's "Already know *this* story", as there definately is an ( i ) sound there, and it's "when the stars *collide* ", as captioned by the official music video by Sega, or atleast the one that was posted on Sonic The Hedgehog. (Edit): The hard mode boss at *The End* (best pun 10/10) is the beast not meant to be woken up. It seems as though the music is representative of both sides. (Edit): My guess with the two parts of the Wyvern theme is that because the fight first has you as regular sonic running all the way to the last Chaos Emerald, the first part of the song is done exclusively by the Wyvern, but the second part is probably both, after Sonic becomes Super Sonic.
This is what makes Super Sonic work. Super Sonic shouldn't work in most games being a powerup for a boss fight. But these songs are one thing to make Super Sonic work.

For "I'm here", it's actually the main theme of the game but they used it as song for the final boss. That's probably why the video didn't say "Supreme theme".
The game released a remade version of “I’m Here”, called “I’m Here - Revisted” and I’d like to hear your it take on it
how does this video have 5 'most replayed' parts dang
I mean, Sonic music was always superior, but with this they shot past every limit. These are the greatest songs I ever heard in a game, and I played a lot of games.
Find Your Flame is honestly the only song i love every part of, in the others there are some bits i may not like but that one? I swear Knight's OST is a masterpiece.
the three first boss songs are the best, I'm not a big fan of I'm here tbh
@@rodiz830 I’m here revisited did better tbh
24:35 the solo repeating is not really part of the song, it's because this Sonic Frontiers boss fights has a mechanic that the music syncs with what is happening in the screen, the last part that plays after the solo only plays if you defeat the boss, cuz this part accompanies Sonic killing the boss in sync, and probably the person playing the game was too slow and didn't killed the boss in time to sync up perfectly
But in the version the sega released of this song, the solo doesn't repeat
It's a tie between I'm Here and Find your Flame for my favorite song from this game
There are more themes from Sonic Frontiers due to their being a final update. New Final Boss theme, new ending theme, and new playable character themes
The boss themes of frontiers is basicly metal gear rising ost but on steroids
They didn't have to go this hard, but they did and its beautifil.
3 endless possibility from Sonic unleashed(best Sonic game)
4 his world from Sonic 06 (pathetic game with incredible musics)
I hope I helped and I'll wait for a response and a possible video :)
Thank you!
If I do more sonic this suggestions will come in handy!
Top 10 soundtracks that make you scream
it's a shame he didn't react to "I'm with you", even if it doesn't go as hard as the other bosses themes
They went this hard for Sonic because this game is Sonic's comeback game! The only problem is that a lot of Sonic fans can't make up their mind on if they like the game or not. But I love literally everything about this game!
They got in near the end of the song and thought the solo was too good to do only once. They had to do it again!
Secret Rings and Black Knight had vocal themes for all Boss Fights that went hard, Blue on the Run for SR and Fight The Knight for BK are my favorites.
oh man what a time to be a sonic fan
enjoying this amazing soundtrack. Agree with your feelings. its breathtakingly
if you never heard the old sonic music, i recommend live and learn, infinite theme, endless possibilities and his world, they're the most famous ones but games like shadow the hedgehog has a lot of rock music :>
It's Endless Possibility, don't ask me why it isn't Possibilities, it is just what they decided with.
What I'm made of is also pretty solid.
Oh yeah if I recall the performer of the rap section in _Find Your Flame_ is an artist they brought back after the track he did in Sonic Forces _Infinite_ of the boss Infinite. Otherwise all vocals are done by Kellin Quinn of Sleeping With Sirens.
Vocal in "I'm Here" is done by Merry-Kirk Holmes.
@@Y_arkar Ah right thank you forgot about that.
Sonic can fly by transforming into Super Sonic once he absorbs the Chaos Emeralds
Listens to less than half of the first boss theme - immediately decides to buy a full priced game because of that and nothing else
W wyvern theme
The best game music EVER
Really like these songs. 🤘And thank you for your R&A! Stay cool 😎
I don't know if it's intended but I like to think that all of these bosses have these themes and lyrics attributed to them, not sonic or the player. Because in their eyes, this is the fight of their life
Hey there is a update with a new boss, with remixes of im here

The guy doing the rap in Find your Flame also sung Infinite from Sonic Forces. Actually Find your flame does have some small elements from Infinite, and I swear there's a bit of 'Fist bump' in Break through it all (my favourite of the vocal tracks from Sonic frontiers).
Both Infinite and Fist Bump aren't on the same level as these, though Infinite feels like it really laid the groundwork. It's edgy AF and us, the fanbase, kinda made fun of this.... but it really did work. Too bad the game and the character (Infinite) squandered their potential.
If you're curious you might just want to check it out in your own time =)
Annnd well one of my other favourite tracks of the game is one called 'Fishing Vibes' .... because it is such a chill vibe. I appreciate that part of the game so much since it's a break from the chaos/
To answer your question in the wyvern section, he can fly as Super Sonic, which is a form he takes when he collects the 7 chaos emeralds
this game is sick af, totally recommend it. feels like the Sonic Adventure games too me.
Why is it that and not other games like Secret Rings and Unleashed?
@@artistanthony1007 the music, the open exploration, als9 secret rings was on rails, and I've never personally played unleashed. Ontop if that it's the first time in a long time i felt the characters were canonical too themselves
THE BEST REACTION I HAVE EVER SEEN
The final boss OST is also really good but it's more of an emotional and motivational kind of song, no rap, no rock, no guitars, mostly synth i think.
At the start it's soft piano before transitioning into a mix of synth and rock, but it's way more tame
Sega always go hard for sonic songs, being stage instrumentals or vocal themes. Even the bad games have a great collection of songs like 06 and Forces
in case you rlly like the game, they're re-doing the WHOLE 3RD ACT in an update on September 28th!
to answer your question at 12:30 the reason sonic is flying is because he has absorbed the power of the chaos emeralds, allowing for him to transform into super sonic (the reason why sonic is glowing gold in the boss fights) the form grants him invincibility and the ability to fly, this is far from the first game that shows super sonic having the ability to fly, as in sonic 2 if you get the true ending super sonic will fly back down to the earth after defeating eggman
Sonic games have a history of being S tier music tracks that also happened to have a game attached to it.
Undefeatable is my favorite
Kellin doing bangers and back vocals by Julian Comeau from Loveless the best bso from a game.
There are few soundtrack from this game that you missed. One Way Dream, Vandalized, I'm With You (as no vocals), and Dear Father
I'm here has 2 version's of it. The Intro version and a Boss version. The boss one is missing most of the lyric's however so the main one is honestly better, and there also is the theme of The End, which has no vocal's but is really atmospheric
Ost is insane
"Why did they go so hard for Sonic?"
Well, it's a bit of a tradition ever since the start of modern era. If there's one thing that rarely disappoint it's the Supersonic-related songs. xD
Ngl when I first played this my exact words were for each boss
Giganto “WHO DECIDED TO LET MGR AND DRAGONFORCE CREATE MUSIC FOR SAGA THERE IS NO REASON FOR THIS KINDA HYPE FOR THE FIRST F***ING BOSS”
Wyvern “WHO GAVE DRAGONS RIFTS BECAUSE THANK YOU I FEEL DETERMINED AND WANT TO KEEP GOING”
Knight “INFINITE?!?! WHY ARE YOU HERE HOW DID YOU GET HERE”
Supreme “OH SHI SAD BEGINNING THIS IS GONNA BE GOOD (5 seconds later) *psychotic head banging*”
Now what about the end
Dlc version
@@AaronAkioTheBraixen
Even more psychotic head-banging
3:17 I can summarize why they NEEDED to this hard, the Sonic IP was in shambles and if this didn’t succeed, they would’ve lost all hope from fans like myself. So if it didn’t go THIS hard, or was THIS good, they might’ve lost Sonic from all the bad decisions Sega made with the games before this. But that’s just my personal take on it.😅
5:26 I think the song was a mean to say, “The Sonic IP is Undefeatable” because, based off of what I heard from interviews, the team working on this was scared this would fail horribly like recent Sonic games that people have harped on HARD. But that’s my interpretation.
Another 3 songs from the game you can listen to are Vandalize (easy or normal Credits song), One Way Dream (Hard mode Credits song) and I think the third one is called Im With You (Credits Song)
The 3rd one is dear father idk
"I'm Here" is the theme of the game too!
Idk about you guys but when with the Wyvern battle, I purposely took my time battling it so I can hear the music longer 😅
''Can Sonic fly in this game?'' I mean, Super Sonic can fly since 1992.
Sonic Frontier's is quite good. I recommend it.
11:12 that face says it all
My favorite theme out of them all is probably either Undefeatable and I’m Here
For the weird repetition for "Find your Flame", I think that's because those videos were made before the official CD release, so he maybe took the files from the game that have loops and made a bad cut.
Official version have the Solo leading directly to the quiet part, not repeating before
i dont know about these theme they cool) Sonic Forces OST - Theme of Infinite i also recomend for listening
the reason they went so bloody hard on the music is yes
still waiting for reaction to more sonic games osts
You forgot The Ends theme, I'm with you
*sonic frontiers ❌
*metal gear sonic: frontiers ✅

Super Sonic could Fly for quite a Long time now
There's A LOT of great Sonic themes throughout it's entire franchise....
But yeah, they went above and beyond even by Sonic standards for this game
React to more Sonic songs, like the older games themes, they are all good too!
If you want another good one from Frontiers listen to One Way Dream, that is pretty top tier.
This is what makes Super Sonic work. Super Sonic shouldn't work in most games being a powerup for a boss fight. But these songs are one thing to make Super Sonic work.
