@susanknight7091 we did thank you. We had an early Christmas with our daughter, son in law and grandchildren who are 4 and 2 and stayed in a guest house near them for 4 days. We came back and had a quiet Christmas just the two of us but it's been lovely. I went to a pantomime with my daughter and grandchildren on Monday afternoon and it was brilliant. We all enjoyed it. Xx

Christmas 2025 is all over now, just the New Year to celebrate and then we will all be looking forward to the spring and some warmer weather. xx
@susanknight7091 it was brilliant seeing their little faces light up and I bought my grandson a light up sword and my granddaughter a light up wand. She is very into Frozen and princesses so she was very happy. The baddie was a bit scary but I think it was the bangs and flashes that made it more scary. Yes I'm looking forward to 2025 and hoping to get fitter and slimmer (fingers crossed) Happy new year xxx

Susan both trousers looked fantastic first top such a great basic and the slash/playback is a fab alternative to a V neck for those of us with a large chest 😊. Didn't like the green top of the cardigan. Agree with that the V neck although great pattern and colour it is too long missing the 1/3 - 2/3 rule so did you no favours.. Hey Susan I have a funny story. I used to work at New Orleans Original Daiquiris for a short time and made some friends substituting at a store with an all female staff. As you can imagine the customers were 90%+ guys except for the ones with girlfriends. After I left the job they got the female employees new tee shirts that were fitted and not long so when tucked in they hugged the body and pulled down framing the umm assets which was the point. One of my friends had her tee shirt out one night but some higher up bosses were visiting. When she went in the kitchen to get daiquiri mix she got told something and came back out with her tee shirt tucked in her jeans. I swear this is true she got a very large and loud standing ovation! 😂🤣
@ it was funny! The female employees tried to get away with leaving that tee shirt out because of how it fit. An assistant manager at my store sometimes wore it and other times wore a polo that fit normal. She would tuck in the polo and when a customer asked one night if they made her do it she said no I didn’t mind tucking in my shirt just not the tee shirt.
M&S Jersey trousers are my no 1 this year Susan and now have 6 pairs lol….they’re mostly in the straight leg, although I have one pair of wide leg pair in brown and a new ankle grazer pair! They have been scarce stock wise since they went viral haven’t they especially in the + sizes and short lengths ….Grrrrr…… but I have just managed to pick up a straight leg pair in black and white tiny check and in the ankle grazer length! I’m going to wear them Christmas Day with a red blouse! Personally I think the first black trousers were too short with your boots……but it’s personal choice…..I only wear mine with flat or my trainers! Love wearing the trousers with flats, a nice blouse and my biker jacket…….smart and stylish but lovely and comfy! On the subject of wide leg, at 5ft 1 they do make me look more wide and boxy so I have to be very careful which top I wear! I don’t wear those kind of T.Shirt tops cos I hate how they cling to my tum…..I wear blouses or looser tunic style tops! They are such a find aren’t they, I just wish they’d do them in more colours all year round! C’mon M&S! Loving your picks today Susan! BTW I bought that cardigan last Winter and wore it loads…….sadly it bobbled badly so only did one season! Have a very Happy Christmas….stay safe, healthy and have a wonderful family time!
Hi Lorraine, seems I had a lucky escape with the cardigan. Definitely not a good purchase if only lasted only one season even if it did get lots of wear. I'm glad i'm not the only one who thought the black trousers were shorter than normal, when trying on I really didn't notice and only as I was editing footage last night thought, hang on they are looking short! Very strange as the petite/short are now my go too length and no doubt the regular would be much too long! I agree M & S sort yourselves out! Boden & John Lewis sale tops are often less frumpy than M&S as are basic tops from Lands’End & Phase Eight. M&S tops might be cheap but they often have hideous patterns that are too busy. Plain solid colours & neutrals are way more classy - use jewellery to dress them up.
Brilliant advice thank you, I will look out for them, I actually plan on a John Lewis trip after xmas when the sales will hopefully be on. I wasn't overly impressed with these patterned ones and definitely preferred the plain black one, but I don't always want to be in black! I haven't had much luck with neutrals as in natural neutrals but as spring and summer return I will probably try again. Merry Christmas 🎄
Khaki green really suits your complexion so a plain top in that colour would be great. Same with blues. Camel tones & taupe & cream are good neutrals. Honestly wearing plain colours has been a game changer for me with nice necklaces, bracelets, looks so much more flattering & easier to shop for. Having older critical daughters helps as they let me know straight away if clothing looks off! Happy Christmas to you too!
Very pretty Susan! The first black top and what I think of as animal stripes are my favorite because I agree even though they are not tucked in they give you a waist and show your curves with a gorgeous silhouette and don’t show anything you don’t want to emphasize. Until you rolled the first top up to show the trousers I thought it was tucked in. The second top gives less shape but is just as pretty and very flattering! These tops are not for me because no matter how they look on me and even though I try I’m just not comfortable unless my top is 360 tucked in. I have worn tops out a few times but at some point I will go tuck them in. My friends say that it’s cute but when I do tuck in they say it’s more me and they like it best. My friends are the best and they want me to be comfortable in other styles but they are going to be honest and let me know what they think is best for me especially knowing it’s my comfort zone. I wouldn’t want them to do any less. ❤

Hi Susan. The trousers are smart but ever so slightly short.( nothing terrible!) Maybe it's the shoes. Are they heeled? As a person who is your height, I know the M&S regular length trousers are much too long, though. I love the elegant wrap. (I own 4 very similar wraps, as I get too hot, whilst shopping in a coat.) The cardigan is a tad frumpy, I feel. The tunic tops aren't my favourite. The green one is, indeed, 'square' on your figure. The blue top is longer, and has the V neck, but makes your legs look shorter.Have you tried any tops with V necks and a long peplum at the bottom?.Long enough to cover your tummy area, they tend to give a good 'nipped in' waist look. Or any faux wrap around tops. I also like V neck tops, with a small amount of ruching at the sides, again long enough to cover my tummy area. ( I'm 5 ft 4 inches tall, size 18 now) I hope you're not offended. If you feel wonderful in the tops, that's what matters and you must wear them! Thank you for your Channel, its my favourite. Hi Mary, apologies for not making it clear. Both pairs of trousers were in a short/petite. However, when reviewing footage I was a little concerned that they looked short when worn with the black VIVAIA boots that I had on. That said I have bought the regular before and they were far too long. So , I would go with the petite/short if you are the same height as myself. They seem to have good stock at the moment so happy wearing 😜❤️

Sorry you didn't like the tops, I too wasn't overly enamoured with them but was looking for casual jersey tops and these seemed to be the best option available. The trousers were great as were the first and last tops. I would say a longer necklace on the black maybe even a lariat necklace.
