Man what a life. Dude put so much joy in this world. I mean how many people have calmed down and relaxed watching him paint. That's what I call a life well lived.
I like the mix of the people who are here to actually draw and the people who are here cause they love his voice
And the people who want to sleep.(helps me sleep)
I watch for painting tips as well as for sleep purposes when I have insomnia

Every time you think he ruined the painting, he manages to amaze you and it turns out better than you could imagine.

Art is a development process and almost all mistakes can be turned into something amazing... or as he calls it, happy accidents. :) It's so easy to give up after a mistake but most bigger artists can't scrap everything that has a mistake and they learn to work with it, and anyone can! We actually learn the most by working with mistakes! He was so skilled with this that if he did mistakes he turned it into something with a purpose. He also worked from background to foreground so after some episodes it makes sense. ^.^

i was about to say exactly that. For me it's perfect, then he starts to do more stuff and at first looks ruined, few seconds later - magic. Better than that perfect before
Every once in a while I like watching a Bob Ross episode when I see it in my subscriptions, just before I go to sleep. It's just so nostalgic and relaxing.

Bob Ross is the only guy that can keep me perfectly relaxed and stress free for 30 minutes straight, this man is a painting legend, I wish he was still alive so I could meet him :(
I love that this very quiet, calm man talks about how it feels good to beat the devil out of your brushes to get out all of your hostility and frustration.
And THAT paint thinner KILLED HIM. It isn't a joke. It is not FUNNY. Bob Ross was killed by the thinner and his constant
BEATING THE DEVIL OUT OF IT.

@@joannaedwards6325 Uhhh, no, he died of lymphoma, which is cancer of the white blood cells. Paint thinner had nothing to do with it.

Paint thinner was given as CONTRIBUTING to his cancer.
But I'll allow that might have been a mistake of the video maker. Nevertheless, I remain a cranky old lady who really hates the silly, inane, repetitive, sophomoric comments following his pretty cool offerings.
As far as I have observed, from reading his comments, BOB ROSS fans are under 30, uneducated in Art Appreciation,
and unimaginative when expressing themselves.

@@joannaedwards6325 The chemicals in paint thinner have no correlation to lymphoma. The only chemicals known to have a strong correlation to lymphoma are pesticides and certain industrial chemicals. The paint thinner did not contribute to his death.

Bob Ross talks and explains and describes endlessly for half an hour but you never hear him say ‘umm’ or ‘uhhh’
He knows exactly what to say and what he’s talking about because he’s such a master
I listen to Bob Ross for hours. His voice just makes me feel a little bit more relaxed.

I always love watching him paint mountains. With that detail you would think they are hard but they are super quick and easy just need practice.
