There used to be a really cool fountain here but it is now boarded up. At its peak, Playground Pier had roughly around 75 tenants at its peak when it opened in 2006, but it drastically declined after the Tanger Outlet Center near Bass Pro Shops opened. Now the mall has only about 10 tenants remaining.
