he was as good as three loosies and was on the deliberate rampage all the time ~ think they fed him meat solidly for three weeks to have that much energy available and willpower
He alone PLUS Willie and the Bulls scrum, made the day extraordinarily special
And (and i do NOT usually comment on Refs)
THIS REF GETS HONOURABLE MENTION FOR BEING TOTALLY SHITE 😡⁉️⁉️

A very disappointing weekend for Irish rugby. Andy Farrell will have his work cut trying to lift the morale and spirits of these players when they go back to Pretoria next month to play the Boks. I was thinking a 1-1 draw in that series would be a good result for Ireland but I'm now leaning towards a 2-0 to Boks. Hope I'm wrong.
Well done Bulls and Glasgow. Both deserving winners. Should be a great final.

Brilliant game to watch , as said Cameron Hanekom was amazing but also seasoned pros such as Willie le Roux and Johan Goosen , again letting us all see the tremendous depth off South African talent, I'm originally from Glasgow so pleaed to see the Warriors get through to the final , if they could have won the recent game away to the Lions after getting two bonus points against the Bulls then it could have been a home final for Glasgow , Bulls definitely favourites but hopeful Glasgow can do it on the day , which brings me to the following , do you think that the semi-finals should be played as a double header at the same venue as the final the following weeken weekend ? It would help sort out all this excess travelling as a semi-final double header played in Cardiff, Dublin, Edinburgh or Cape Town could also be good for tourism for any host city , if Munster had won then it'd be a flight back to Ireland for the Bulls , the bulk of the Leinster team will fly back to Ireland then back to South Africa with the national team in a couple of weeks , I think that a double header of Bulls v Leinster and Munster v Glasgow would have been a great rugby experience for the fans in Cardiff, Dublin or Edinburgh etc with no long haul flight for the two winners in the following weekend's Grand Final, the NFL do an amazing job in marketing their big games played in London and for their host city for the Super Bowl, would be interested in your opinion on this one Mark ?

  • @armandlubbe4935

I was at the Game, It was definitely one of the best games I have ever seen, the only thing that was disappointing was the refereeing.... Like there were so many high tackles, seatbelt tackles and late tackles on Bulls players and not a single one of the officiating team "saw" anything wrong and when Ruan Nortjie would go and ask the ref to look at it, he would just show him away everytime and was very arrogant, they penalized the Bulls but not Leinster in that regard and the crowd were not having it. It was one of the worst officiating teams I have seen in a long time, and even the commentators said so with the rewatch at home. That Papier push without the ball, they don't mention the fact that Cameron Hanekom was tackled and played without the ball long after he gave the kick through taking him out of the chase of the ball. SO it was pathetic and you want higher standards for a game of this magnitude. But that being said, the Game itself was massive and such a vibe to be in the crowd, hats off to Leinster it was a great game. Thanks Glasgow for the win, we were rooting for you. @gerardkelsh1011 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

True but that's not the bull's fault. You have to play to the referee. There were quite a few bulls jumping after the tackle onto the wrong side of the ruck and slowing Leinster ball. But the referee let it go. We should have done the same but were not disruptive enough at the ruck.

Fully deserved win for the Bulls...their scrum dominence was not a surprise but overall they were tactically and individually superior. Well done. Leinster loss . ...given their attack all season has been off plus thejury still out whether this Nienaber defensive system will ever suit us....gutting but not that surprising.

The ref made many errors and they all seemed to be in one direction. If the Bulls had lost that game there would have been hell to pay. High tackles missed, late tackles missed, obstruction missed and many collapsed scrums missed. The worst of it was that the ref kept saying the TMO had checked, if the ref and TMO didnt pick up these obvious indiscretions you have to ask were they just crap or are they cheating? If Leinster had won with that ref the entire Leinster team and coach would have been embarrassed. Bulls would have put that game to bed and won by 20+ if the ref had a half decent match

No question about who deserved to win this game - Bulls were just too good. Played exemplary defense - made the most of their attacking opportunities.
Leinster simply not good enough at the money end of the season for the 3rd year in a row. Their offense is all over the shop - chaotic, disorganized. Give credit to the Bulls & Toulouse - they both executed a disciplined, efficient breakdown plan.
If it wasn't obvious before, this result confirms it - Leinster need to rebuild their backline. The Gibson Parke - Ross Byrne axis is not working; the various center partnerships (when Gary Ringrose is unavailable) are inconsistent; so too the backfield (when Hugo Keenan is unavailable). Why is the standard of officiating so inferior in the URC compared to the English premiership, this isn't about playing standards this is an observation about professional officials, i have watched Rugby in both competitions for as long as i can remember and regardless of the standard of play the officiating in England is in general superior to what used to be called the Celtic league and now the URC . I have seen great games in both competitions and i have seen crap ones but the one significant difference is how many poor officials there are in the URC compared to the overhaul standard in England. Ps The top french refs are now better as well and in the past they were pretty poor so why the discrepancy.

Altitude does in fact matter and our poor oul Baird was like a dead man walking lmao. Leo needs to move on and Jack Nienabar needs to have a plan other than the blitz defense for south african teams. BULLS go to LEINSTERS home and lose by 20 or 30 points so there is no excuse for a Leinster performance like that. Well done Bulls good luck in the final.

Its actually not the altitude, old amatuer days excuse. By the sports science fact, its not high enough to make a difference at professional sports fitness levels.
Its actually the harshness, dryness of the climate, winter months especially, that other rugby nations are not use. Every other nation, their rugby is played all on the coast or within 150-250km and still very lush, green, etc, where winters might be cold, but not this dryness you get up the highveld.
So many ways, Rugby still amatuer in its ways, not letting go old nonsense excuses and not embracing the actual sports science should and could be learning from plethora of other sports, especially tennis and athletics where MUCH has been studied in detail about this.
2000m above sea lvl is absolute minimum before even start feeling anything as a professional sportman due to altitude AND, altitude affects base teams away from home too, as trainingnat altitude gives you superior fitness ALWAYS, not only at home, which, in itself, is even the dead give away, highveld, not high enough, as do not see that advance away from home, its something else, i.e harshness of climate not use to.

Glasgow fully deserved to win 100%. Munster deserved to lose 100%.

It should soon become the biggest domestic league in the Northern/Southern Hemisphere someday, because unlike competitions like Super Rugby, it will add an extra layer of competitiveness with new winners each season. If not, at least do it as frequently as possible. Each season, it continues to grow, and with the final in Pretoria, Bulls v Glasgow will be telling.

Well, I agree Sergeal Petersen’s yellow card was very soft and remember Willie LenRoux being taken out off the ball (and he also got away with a ridiculous forward pass) and there were a few dubious tackles and cleanouts, but it didn’t strike me as being overall that far over the top poor. If anything, the referee let the teams play without calling every soft pen. Bulls were better, and might have earned a bit more of the rub of the green, but Leinster didn’t get away with as much as I was prepared to see, in all honesty. Am I the only one who has been saying for a long time he is the worse Ref in rugby at the moment 🤔 . Well done Bull's 👏

The refereeing was disgusting. I am a Stormers supporter and it was definitely hard cheering the Bulls on but the TMO and Ref looked like they wanted Leinster to win... YOU mention Nothing??

You need to watch his vid again. He absolutly talks about it. In fact he states that he's not one for calling bad refing but in this case he has to.4.58
