Hi there! I’m Ben the owner of the first Lego layout you saw! It was amazing to be featured in your video and to see the reactions we got when people saw it. It was a brilliant weekend and I thoroughly enjoyed it with my cousin and best friend who helped me keep everything under control. Brilliant to see that we have now been featured on two channels now (that I know of) considering this was our first proper exhibition. You have definitely earned yourself a subscriber Ben
That was a GREAT shot of your Toby, Thomas & Stepney sitting next to the LSUR's versions. All the guys I've met form LSUR have been really friendly (I joined a few years ago)
@@LarrysLego COOL - I'm sure we'll eventually bump into each other at a future show then. Lego trains isn't my only thing, but I've made a few, and had a bunch of my branded tanker trucks run round the LSUR layout at the Reading show this year. You can see them here: th-cam.com/video/DodEc3izovc/w-d-xo.html
In the woods near my home there is a little loop of miniature track. Every august there is a big convention there where the train fans sell there train models, tell little kids how a steam engine works and the big miniature loop will be used to drive trains with people on the passenger coaches it’s rlly fun!
@@LarrysLego I think I might have heard of a general sort of train meet up for modellers but didn't know it wasn't specifically Hornby type stuff so the Lego really shocked me it was very cool
2:13 if you follow American model railroading it’s actually very similar to o27 which uses ho/oo scale track in the sense that it uses the n scale track but the trains are ho/oo narrow gauge track
It was great to come back from having lunch to see your lovely little trains running on our southern layout, they all looked really good. If you think N gauge is small try looking up some T gauge, that's even smaller though far less available and at far fewer shows.
Heyo! Im glad you enjoyed your trip down, it was awesome seeing your stuff on our layput! As a volunteer at Spa it was pretty funny seeing your commentary, we've no clue how those trolleys got their either 😅 Hopefully see you at the next one!
Lovely video as usual, looled like a fun show and i would be diving in them second hand foodies outside as thats what i always do, nice to see that Lego layout from the thumbnail too as i first saw it at my museum Bressingham Steam Museum for our lego weekend event, the lads on there were very funny and id always see a crash happen!
Perfect time to model N scale trains while you are young and generally healthy. I'm now grey haired and disabled, all my N scale was given away several years back. G scale and On30 aka O16.5, are what works for me now.
@@LarrysLego Thanks! It went to a good home; I gave it to the club I'd been in, who later reported they had given it to a school age fellow of limited means who'd joined the club. He got a number of kitbashed US passenger cars from southeastern railroads classic streamliners and heavyweights that nobody else is going to have. So, actually, I am pleased they went to him.
@@LarrysLego also, Model Power's N scale US heavyweight style passenger cars they produced in those years, 1980s, 1990s, were especially easy to slice, dice, and splice, thanks to prominent rivet lines and battens, in order to create car/carriage variations which were not manufactured. Their 6 wheel trucks/bogies were best replaced with KaDee trucks, but they were usable right out of the box till you got around to doing that.
@@LarrysLego I found it from this one TH-camr called PolygonDonut on his weird McDonald’s video I’m going to probably try and leave a timestamp for you on that video
2:13 thats 009. Its uses N gauge track to model narrow gauge in OO
Ahh thank you for the clarification!
And for even more brain twisting, there is Gnine.
@@LarrysLego hello you’re one of my favorite TH-camrs ever
@@LarrysLegoyou’re welcome
If you want really cute, there's also O9 (Europe)/On18 (in the states), which is 1:48 or 1:50 O scale models running on N scale track!
I'm a volunteer at the SPA Valley Railway and I'm glad you enjoy our line.
That's awesome! It was wonderful, glad you do what you do :D
Holy Tram! Two legendary people meet eachother!
Im jealous
Holy tram it’s James.
OH MY 7 BOX IT'S JAMESFAN1991.
It's amazing how they can detail the Lego trains that much
I know, right!

Hi Ben! That's amazing, lovely to hear it :) It was really cool and I'm happy to have shown it off!
Lego allows for some amazing creativity to be applied. Maybe hyperbole maybe not, but I'm going to call Lego one of humanity's great inventions.
really fun how they put your narrow gauge models on the layout!
It was! They were so good with that and it worked out brilliantly

Great video larry!! Hope you enjoyed your trip!!!
Thank you! I did, it was great!
ahhh my two loves, lego and Thomas!
Amazing! Glad you love them both too!
I didn’t think seeing a train of Thomas train would make me so giddy, but that was awesome!
Aw! I'm glad!
it's so wholesome seeing your mini scale builds meeting their standard gauge counterparts, also nice to see you're another N scale enjoyer haha

Funny how I went to a railway show a couple days ago. But this one is amazing!
Nice! Glad we're all getting out and about to explore railway stuff :)
The thomas n scale stuff has been very tempting. They're stunning in person.

For sure! If you visit these sorts of things you might get lucky :)
I love Thomas so much. It’s has been my childhood favorite for years. I would love if Lego made a Lego Ideas Thomas set which we almost had.
