Right?! I wish I was filming, but on a previous jump here, there were horses on the trail. We did our best to not spook them as we landed and I figured the owners may have had something to say. But they came over and asked if we wanted to get on their horses for a photo. So friendly. 😂
Funny near the end the guy you were talking to wearing a Green Bay Packer shirt as I'm originally from near Green Bay. Says he is from Manitowoc and I'm from Sheboygan which is 30 miles south of there. As they say it's a small world
Hey man, you were a huge inspiration for me to start flying paramotors a couple years ago and it's one of the best decisions I've ever made so thank you for that. 1999 didn’t nail a hook turn but nailed the ground and my last skydive but this is how a BASE jump video should be footage is amazing and I personally felt like I was on the edge again

Haha, it was just a little leak. 😉 I don't have any plans to wing suit but I do have a tracking suit. I need to do a bunch of skydives with it then eventually go to Europe for some terminal base jumps.

Question: I remember the day when I use to skydive, we tied the lines like you did on this jump. Why do you not tie or knot the lines like that on a paraglider?
Just to let you know how long ago I last jumped it was on a Para-Commander modified round chute.
Good question! I guess you can, but it isn't really necessary. Leaving them in big loops is quicker and normally keeps them pretty tangle free in the stuff bag.
When I first started with paragliding in the '90s we were taught to "daisychain" the lines like that, but I think that changed when they started using unsheathed lines. The "raw" kevlar doesn't like rubbing contact.
that's not the echo, that's how long it took for the sound to travel.. the phone was almost instant. Based on the speed of sound and how long it took for you to hear it directly from when you heard it on the phone, the distance could be calculated.. if about 1 second then it is about 1,125 feet away. "I heard the echo" ha ha ha

I think you deployed just a tad too late to make it between those out cropped rocks.
That was sort of my plan. Every other time I've jumped this exit, I've gone handheld and taken a short delay to fly through the pillars. I wanted to free fall it stowed this time and figured if I happened to have enough altitude, I'd go through. But I did not. 😂
BASE jumping is pretty high risk, but with that spur to the left that looks like an even crazier place to BASE jump 😮.

I like you and think you're a good bloke and an ambassador for the sport, but like a few other people on YT who have at times commented, I think sometimes you are pushing your luck a bit mate. I have known 5 people who have died paragliding or paramotoring, including my instructor from 20+ years ago. And a good few others that won't be flying again after too much metalwork in their body now. Just saying take it easy mate! One day a sketchy jump will bite you on the butt. 😉 PS someone in comments below said Bibi is going to kill herself one day. Is that disrespectful ? 😒
