Hey, I came here from the youtube speedrunning channel karl jobst. Truth is, I finished the first Doom yesterday and after that I've been warching Doom videos non-stop. You and the Doom speedrun community are awesome!
I think the time it took to read and comprehend the commentary took more time than the speedrun itself. Fantastic job, I love watching your videos. Makes my day every time.

@@kevin_dur4nt Yeah, I know. I didn't fully read the title, since I was an idiot. Episodes are 8 levels long (and include a secret one, making it 9), and in DOOM, there are 3, in DOOM, there are 4 (not counting SI6IL, which is a free expansion pack by Romero). However, DOOM II and Final DOOM have 32 level-long episodes, 30 being normal, and 2 being secret. There are text cut-scenes about every 8 levels, though.
Brilliant from Zero Master, but I just have one question: how much detour would it have needed to get the BFG on Map 3, and then how much time would that have saved on the Spider Mastermind in the final map? I'm guessing the Master doesn't do this because the official time record is for the first 7 maps?
In full episode runs, only the time for ExM1-ExM7 are counted, since the DOS version doesn't display the time for ExM8. While this is no longer true in the age of source ports, the convention still stands. As such, grabbing the BFG would have actually increased his time.
Those who are using all damn tools, hacks and glitches for a speedrun, just rape the game in my opinion. But when you're doing that simply with your skills, than you are a true master!
Dude, don't stop uploading these. I can't get enough of them. Especially Doom 1 and 2. In Ultimate doom when you run E: 1, M: 1 hangar do you take the outside route making your time 12s instead of 8-9 so that you're arm with the shotgun for the second level, or was that the fastest known route at the time? I'm referencing your video upload from 10/3/2015 Thanks

@@HoboVibingToMusic I didnt notice the difference in speed, i know for a fact that when it first came out was a buggy mess, mostly for the damage given and taken and some issues with tnt bundles animation throwed by cultists. I was lucky to not play it at launch so i don't know if there were any other bug but as it is right now feels and plays amazing. And tbh i don't care if he use a port or the remasterd version fresh supply, the only thing that matters is him on BLOOD :-) Should be awesome
@@carlafalasca4514 Sorry on bad wording, Was referring to Speedrun strats, and such stuff TL:DR you can't clip through doors/windows/thin objects. Certain jumps are impossible. Certain strats don't work.
I have a question that probably has a really obvious answer but i'm still unsure. Wouldn't it be faster to make a beeline on E3M3 for the BFG in the lava pit so you don't have to waste time on the SM on E3M8? Otherwise, such an incredible run!

Out of curiosity, why are you running so many speed runs on UV and not solely on NM? I mean by that logic you could simply run all runs on easy as well instead right?
