it always amazes me when economists advocate ignoring geopolitical risk and against localized supply chains while trumpeting an extremely complex, easily-disrupted system of highly-internationalized trade.

Has China allowed USA/other leading country scientists into China to help with the research? Should WHO start to get heavily involved in the research in China to establish the commencement of the virus?
Should China close all Wet Markets as was mentioned with the SARS virus?
Will China want full control of everything and stop WHO from getting 100% honest research?

To this day, China has not released information about the first known Chinese patient.

They didn't find that patient as yet up to this moment. As a matter of fact, when that virus first struck, they didn't even know what that is, otherwise, the cops who knocked on the door of that Chinese ophthalmologist who called that penuemonia "SARS," which was in fact not the SARS of 2003 as pople know, would not have the chance of playnig the legal technicality by calling him out for "spreading rumor," because what that doctor shared on social media with his colleagues was technically NOT SARS, thus constituting "spreading rumor," within the definition of the express statutory provisions. And the local official of Wuhan was able to take advantage of the "error" on the part of that ophalmologist to cover up the incident when it first broke out. And that caused the delayed the report by the Chinese health authority to the WH about that strange pneumonia.
If they ever found that first patient, they could have contained the virus where it broke out by isolating that first patient and quarantining the contacts he or she has had, saving the trouble of isolating the entire Wuhan city with such draconian measures, which the US and the Europe as a whole have been mocking and laughing at with such glowing and taunting tones, for more than two months, while forgetting to think even for a second that the same of what happened in Wuhan city might happen in Europe or the US, should it ever come ashore, and how to get prepared for that.

And they will never do that also. Unless global Organisation do a detailed independent research, truth will never come out. Only US and European nation can make that happen.

Perhaps there were too many. CHINESE VIROLOGISTS reported an identified corona virus to
WHO 10/2019. WHO sat on the data...it has been reported, but hushed by WHO AUTHORITIES and others that now know.

Has US released any info on deaths classified as due to flu in 2019 but later reclassified as due to Covid as revealed by Dr. Redfield of CDC to Congress ?

moreco2pls why should they? Even if they did Americans wouldn’t believe them because the number one objective of the US is to create hatred of and mistrust of China. That policy is hardly conducive to dialogue and cooperation. The American president and his administration are constantly attacking China and the result on YT and other forums is the worst kind of hatred and vitriol directed against China. I believe this will end up working against the US and weaken their position in the world. You attract more bees with honey than vinegar but Americans don’t understand this.
