Old school duels are way more entertaining to watch and way more fun to play than the current meta.
And on many levels, at that
I still play a old school deck and crush in master duel, I don’t like using link, syncro, ritual, or pendulum. I said the syncro wrong, hope you know what I mean, anyways I have just 1 card in my extra deck, which is the 5 headed dragon, and the rest are basically monsters, spell cards, trap cards, counter traps. I have such an amazing setup, every card goes well with each other
Building a deck with only one set of exodia... but then accidentally running 2 left arms is actually so on brand it hurts.

Possibly unpopular opinion: Yugioh was so much better back when it was simpler. Monsters, spells, and traps. That's literally all you needed for a fun time. Now you gotta wait 20 years for your opponent to finish their turn, and then when you finally get a turn, they can prevent you from doing basically anything that isn't setting a card face down.
It wouldn't be a Doto video without doing something mind blown like play 2 of the same card. Beautiful! Ah this was classic!

The very moment I saw Doto' add Exodia to his Deck, my _first thought_ was wondering if someone could have extra limbs for whatever reason, and the fact he added 2 Left-arms after that thought made it even funnier. (≧▽≦;)
In my opinion, my favorite incarnation of yugioh was right before link monsters were added. While I like some designs of link monsters, I have never used one in any decks I play cause a majority of link monsters are too toxic or to “extending-my-combos-to-the-fifteenth-dimension” to use.
Duelist of the Roses theme? Like Yugi and Kaiba somehow got semi-possesed by their medieval counterparts

I honestly loved the OG or "playground" Yu-Gi-Oh more, I seriously wish they made an OG draft mode for Master duel or some way to filter ppl who want to enjoy the OG "fusion, tribute, ritual" summon style over all the new stuff.

I also remember when you use to draw six cards then draw a seventh, also when you couldn’t link 50 moves in your first turn of the game before your opponent even has taken their first turn that to me is like mind boggling how people use decks like they do I promise they gotta be using a bot where as a person has to look for the card your opponent instantly whips out the cards from their deck within a 0.01 of a second it’s obvious there isn’t another player on the other end. Hell I started playing yugioh in the fifth grade, I’m now 35 so yeah lol.
And may as well add it in I repeated the fifth once the only year I did it wasn’t grades it was the teachers Felt I did not take the classes seriously and I didn’t cause they were to east I stop playing around like the first time and actually showed them if I wanted I can dedicate myself to anything I needed to. Also I was on Ritalin which messed me up and my mother took me off it soon after because of the affects it had on me due to the fact there was nothing wrong with me and the medication caused bad affects because nothing to treat.

Nice video ! To answer Rhyme's question, I think that I prefer the old yu-gi-oh cards. The modern strategies are nice but the good old artstyle and neutral monsters are the best for me !

Just gonna say I like old because I don’t like how you either win in 2-4 turns in the modern game it takes some of the fun out of it for me to be able to make your entire deck your hand (probably my gambling side) and it’s just fun to have longer duels because you get to understand your opponents that way and it’s just fun for me.

@DotoDoya: You mess-up the exodia deck, you accidently put two Left arm instead of one left arm, and one right arm. Because you forgot that is the unlimited format, and that is the only way to play Traditional format, or goat format in this.
I don’t really know where I stand, if it’s considered new or modern, but I grew up with the newest cards being Synchro. I love Synchros, but I can see the beauty in modern and old.

2005 yugioh. I wonder if yall know about anything before 05? Talk about old and crusty, those were the days lol. Vampire lord and jinzo were gawds back in 01. We were playing a lot of Japanese yugioh back then. Hell, reverse worlds and devil Franken induced tons of fear as well. Anyway great video

Classic Yu Gi Oh is great because it doesn't have the players be slaves to an archetype, and it also has good strategy and back and forth as opposed to the OTK crap these days.

it's just 1 card that makes you draw 2. But if it wasn't in your hand, you'd have hd the next card instead, so it just gives you 1 extra card... It's so lame...
As a new player to Yugioh, modern Yugioh clears. But I can see the appeal of the slower play of old Yugioh. But that's the thing: you can allows go back to old Yugioh sets and play with older cards. If cards remained the same strength level as what they were 10+ years ago this shit would be so stale.
The irony of your statement is that the new meta is just as stale because it's the same shit over and over. It's just whoever can go first and mill their whole deck turn 1 for a board of omni-negates.
This shit would be stale? Sounds like someone likes going against the same 3 decks that have the exact same cards in as their favourite TH-camrs with no originality. Old yugioh a lot of the time was “I bought 15 booster packs, hope I make something work”
