I wish some of the other demos at NAMM were done by guys like this. He really understands the products, speaks well, and plays great. Line6, give this guy a raise!
Is Sean the only guy that has touched one of these guitars? I hope this isn't another "one year later and I still don't have my guitar" line 6 story. I was all worked up at first, then just went ahead and got a JTV69. Plan on having one of these eventually. Got it to where I can use the trem without going out of tune. If they put a Floyd and 2 extra frets on the 59, that would probably be the last electric guitar model I would ever own (I did say probably, didn't I?)
I don't know if the guitar or the speaker but sound horrible, I was looking this video because I want to buy a FRFR speaker for my Kemper Profiling Amp but, this video convince me to don't do it. better go for the matrix gt1000fx an matrix fr212.
So is your verdict good ? I'm after an all-rounder but on drop tuning I'm worried about palm muting and bending and would like to know how the 89F tracks. I have a Line6 Helix and a Cab 112+. I'm an Ibanez neck guy so the 89F was recommended by friends.
@Common Sense I want it for both to be honest. Modelling is first priority so that I can to get my acoustic sounds and distorted sounds easily. But the tunings are something I would like too. Drop D is probably the main detuning I need. Would like to know how well it bends on distorted sounds (as well as palm muting). Thx.
Thanks. Very helpful. I'll hold off until I can actually play with one. The Modelling sounds good but the palm stuff it a must and sounds tricky to get right. I will look at the DT system but I had a piezo to midi converter in the past and it was crap. Boss IIRC. Threw it in the garbage. It could never get the notes right.
@@GodzillaGoesGaga Line 6 says they have updated the variax software to help fix the palm muting issue. To let you know how good of a job they did, My variax has been sitting on a guitar stand since I bought it a 4 years ago. The PM'ing is still HORRIBLE. If you play with high gain heavy distortion you're gonna be VERY disappointed.(All Variax Models) Tho the guitar sims built into the guitar sound very good. I'm a HEAVY palm muter and play with high gain. The workaround to this is to use the real pickup instead. The PM issue is ONLY with the modeled guitars becasue of the piezo pups in the bridge. Hope this helps.
@@cast390 Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated. Since Palm muting and heavy distortion is one of my playing styles I'll give it a miss for now. I have enough guitars that work well and I was hoping to get an all-rounder. Sounds like it's just not cutting it yet for the heavy stuff.

Got this Guitar off of Line 6.com yesterday and it is a brilliant make! Get it guys, you won't be disappointed!
I agree man, he's an excellent presenter. Also, the guy who presented the complete dream rig in a video of Rob Chapman is great, check that vid out.

Ah Sean Halley - a genius even without any gear.
Didn't you post this one already? Deja vu ...
Wonder would it feed on strings with all that tuning up and down
I am loving the new JTV-89F. Think it's time to upgrade from my 700.
WOW! Damn, that is really something else!
Sounds pretty great.
wrong not the only steingberger has a locking trem guitar that can be retuned withou unlocking
can you use the stagesource L2t as a guitar amp cabinet?
Yes

what a fugly headstock :D still nice piece of technology
Nice guitar, but if you're a left handed guitar player, Line 6 and James Tyler give you the bird.
Not Bad for Korean.Made ;)
Line6 guitar? I dunno man. I think I’ll stick to Ibanez and Anderson.
That palm muting sounds horrible.
