Good Video Again - Clark was my MOM and Krauss was a close second. Morris also did not try and go for a foul all the time. Holmes was brilliant I agree - Hashi was unlucky with their goal but he very much redeemed himself later on. The second goal was not a deflection by Elijah he deliberately redirected it into the goal.
Big ask to get a result at Blackburn. I would look to Derby, home game, for next win. A point at Blackburn would be a good result for me but suspect Blackburn will have too much firepower up front. Agree about Holmes, showed signs of what he can offer preseason, I couldn't understand why he wasn't getting more game time early on. I know he was injured for a while. A solid signing from Reading who could go on to be a legend in time.
At the end of the day it's a win - a very lucky win. You need that in football sometimes but I totally agree it just paper over the cracks. But hey, the club and those still believing Rob is the right man will dine out on this win until the weekend which will probably yield another woeful performance. I really wanted Rob to pull it out of the bag but the one thing that doesn't work - the system, is the very thing he won't change. It is staggering. Stoke were very poor and we made very hard work of it and if we played a 442/433 - that was easily a 3-0 win. Yet we had to rely on set pieces and a touch of luck for the winner but Stoke were always going to be under pressure from our strength in the final third. We created little from open play and sometimes showed some nice touches with Moses and Krauss. The one thing that should out was the lack of any subs, which told me that Rob was just too scared or didn't know how to make a positive change and kept his fingers crossed we'd pull it off. That worked yesterday but isn't a recipe for success.
They looked a lot better today. Lots of crosses and winning set pieces! Still work to be done but I'm happy for the result. No subs made is a little bit crazy though? I know we have injuries which means a lack of options but I just hope that this won't add to the injury problem.
I think Mcguinness actually looks really good alongside Holmes. Hashi was caught in no man's land with the goal - in a 442 there would have been more cover. Three valuable points.
your recent and constant calls for rob edward's head is embarrassing with no regards for the injury situation and confidence levels .it seems you almost wanted us to lose to get your way ..shame on you ..no we don't have to beat blackburn .keep it real lewis
My calls for wanted Rob Edwards sacked because we’re massively underperforming this season, an injury situation which he creates himself by rushing players back and won’t change the system, and the confidence levels he’s created by losing games? I’ve never gone into a game wanting to lose a game of football. Shame on you for thinking that. And yes we have to get a result at Blackburn otherwise the confidence levels which you just highlighted gets worse again. “Keep it real Lewis” if I said I wanted him to stay that’s me lying to you and not keeping it real. I’ve highlighted injuries on multiple occasions and blamed players and medical staff to sort that out.
Kraus had his best game so far it proves if you have a shot anything can happen ! Hashi is definitely not a CB ! give the academy players a chance they may not be up to championship speed but the energy they would bring would be infectious
Great to see you smiling and happy on a video 👍😁also great to see both Morris and Elijah scoring 👍🤩
It’s the first time both players have scored in the same game and we’ve won!
@@LewisWilliamsLTFC Yep and its a good feeling to win 👍👍 Great instinctive flick on by Elijah 🤩

It can’t last majority of games without subs
Not there but sounded better. Back it up with another win at weekend
Good vid, Lewis. The jury's out....as you say a poor opposition. We'll see ...not holding my breath. In the meantime delighted with the 3 points
100%

That’s the biggest concern

100% in a back 4 that doesn’t happen
Well here we go let’s give Blackburn a good game
Well you started off saying we were good but then said Stoke were really poor so not looking good for the Blackburn game
Only speaking the truth

Even if they’re not up to speed they will learn more in one Championship game than anything
