This is basically fifa 07 with 2014 jerseys and rosters.

Tom Riddle in my opinion its more like fifa 07 because fifa 08 it was a little bit harder then fifa 07 in pc
No, they are different. The concept was good with playing styles etc and the movement seemed more 360 but they messed up the chipped through ball and crossing that completely ruined the game. FIFA 7 and 8 on the PS2 were great.
I came here to just say that
i came online with fifa on that exact game, FIFA 08 for PC. Since 09 ive been on Xbox 360 and now Xbox One.
however, FIFA 08 on PC looked better than this. Thats crazy in a way, since it differs a good 6 years between the games, but the PS2 hardware cant do better than this.
PS1 = FIFA 97-FIFA 2005
PS2 = FIFA 2001-FIFA 14
PS3 = FIFA 08-FIFA 19
PS4 = FIFA 14 - present
PS 3 is FIFA 20

There's a reason for this. In Latin America, a lot of people played PS2 (and still do) and the switch over to PS3/360 was slower by comparison. EA/Konami released PS2 versions of their football titles (FIFA/PES) to cater to the Latin American customers.

Back then EA didn't care about the PC and just ported the PS2 version over. Same with NHL until they stopped it after 09.
The commentary is always the same, these games should be sold twice per generation with updates in between.

I never had PS2 version for FIFA games, i only played PC version of the FIFA games that we're conversions from PS2 console from almost FIFA games until FIFA 11.
I only afford PS2 in 2009 or 2010 (i can't remember a bit) , and watching this makes me really tears me up! 😢
I never had internet until 2010, though i originally wanted one in late-2000 (from 2008 or 2009), but my parents didn't let me due to his fear that it may contain virus in it.

this was FIFA's PS2 versions after FIFA 2007, PES had an actual PS2 game until PES 2011.
Because it mostly is. EA does support consoles till they are basically rotten but the last 5-6 iterations are just roster updates, a new menu, new music and that's all they do.
@@gabrielguimaraes6486 Konami stopped pretty much after 2009. PES 2008 on the PS2 is actually a fun game, since it has game modes that weren't available on the current systems version, like the World Tour.

I've got a pretty rare champions league 06/07 season disk. And its the same game engine but the jerseys are untucked and it's just updated. I realise that the stadiums are also the same and the commentators.

The PlayStation 2 had late support for sports games. It came out in 2000 and the last sports game for it were Madden 12, NBA2K12, NBA Live 09, FIFA 14, PES 14, Rugby 08, NHL 09, WWE SmackDown vs Raw 2011 and MLB 2K12.

Bro, the glitches were made for me, I had fifa 14 on ps2!!! My game would stop working after a free kick. And throw in mechanism was shit, it was more like a free kick coz he won’t pass it to the close player. Quite surprised, your copy works fine

I remember playing fifa 11 or 12 on ps2 against my brother, he got a penalty I saved it and then it had to be a corner but all of a sudden the game said that my brother had scored a goal while I saved the pen so we both were very confused but he was happy and lucky and that shit glitch was the reason I lost to him😂

Kadedean Mchale I still can download fifa 14 via play store on my phone because it's a few years old and in my library I can find it but you can't buy the full pack with career and kickoff anymore it don't work so it's pretty useless
