How to paint a Campfire (Step by Step oil painting Tutorial for Beginners)

(Second Version) Learning how to paint a campfire can be fun! Create that special night time atmosphere! This is one area of painting the beginner might consider experimenting with. I painted the campfire...twice... to show different method by same result in painting. See previous painting same name.
Prepare canvas by painting black and allow to dry.
Next cover complete canvas with a thin layer of Alizarin Crimson, and border with a dark Blue (Prussian Blue).
Paint a circle of Cadmium Yellow Light, and again, on outside of yellow circle, paint another circle with Cadmium Red Light - Blend.
To paint he dancing flames use same colours. Start with yellow. Flames can be many sizes and shapes...experiment!
For logs use Burnt Sienna, and again highlight with yellow/red.
