I have started to learn Norwegian and was looking for things to immerse myself in the language and came across Kalandra. They record a lot of songs in their native language and it really helps me get a grasp of it. Kalandra is a band that I wish more people knew about. Everything about their music--writing, vocals, instruments, cinematography--is phenomenal. My favorite song of the year is "Last Woman on Earth" by Paris Paloma. If you don't know it, I highly recommend listening to. The lyrics are so important to hear and read. The way it makes me feel, is exactly how you feel hearing State of the World.

Kalandra has a way 2 sing 2 a person's heart. No words can explain how this one makes your soul feel (at least i can't find them).

Kalandra stand with the people, the common people. They would never sell their souls to the elites. That's my opinion anyhow.
They are the elite among musicians. :)
Kalander's "A Frame of Mind" is my favorite album this year, but my favorite song would have to be "Untie the Knot".
Untie the Knot is a very close second, those opening lyrics have impacted me pretty hard.
