0:53 I've heard those go off during a kitchen fire. I was outside working when it went off. The fire was put out quickly. I'm glad the home owners were ok
Why does the one at 1:31 and the Gillette Captain Kelly-941 sound the same but varying in volume? Like the one at the left is the quiet one and the other is too loud.
The voice is way quieter than the horn. When one is going off in the hallway, and I am in my bedroom. I can only hear the horn. The voice is super quiet. Much quieter than a person talking. Either than or it gets drowned out by the loud horn
@@Photoelectric_Elevators At least it randomly showed me your interesting channel! It's great that you have something you are so passionate about like elevators and smoke alarms. Have fun out there man
That's not the point: the whole point of a smoke detector, as the name implies, is to detect smoke from a fire & sound an alarm, whether you're already aware of the smoke or not (which could save your life if you're asleep & a fire starts, especially since people are not as aware (if at all) as they are when awake).
Did you somehow get here from TH-cam's broken algorithm?
Well i was looking for a smoke alarm, and google thought this was a good time to recomend this video lol.
Yeah
No this came up while I was watching a smoke alarm collection.
Omg I love your videos
love the sound of this one 0:47
Same
Both domestic fire and gas alarms with mechanical horns are interesting.
0:03: The captions are supposed to be “alarms”. But the captions instead say: “worms”.
I like First alert smoke alarms because of the low frequency sounders.
PLEASE SEE MANUEL
Definitely a nice difference from the ear-piercing shrieks most detectors make for sure.

Woah what’s that photoelectric BRK with AC squealer??
AC Buzzer you mean. It's a 2839ACWI
1:02 = Wheelock MT in horticulture class, since sometime in 1998. (With Gentex SHGs outside of the horticulture class.)
1:05 i have 3 kf these around my hlise but they have actual beeping sounders
0:48 sounds like a Guinea pig😂
More like a scream

I have the second one in person obviously without the camera compression the voice is not the same volume as the horn

The one at 1:25 is identical to mine but mine doesn't pulse.
0:38 car horn principle
TH-cam algorithm wtf
Yup its stupid

Why do the Gillette one and the one to the left sound like loud buzzers?
Some AC Operated models from the 70's and 80's used mechanical buzzers.
@@Photoelectric_Elevators Ah okay.
@@Photoelectric_Elevators So older smoke alarms used buzzers and newer ones use piezoelectric sounder speakers?
@@Photoelectric_Elevators I just want to know how similar they sound or something.
Some of the older 70's to 80's AC Operated detectors use mechanical buzzers.
the
I hate this its crap 🤬 💢😡😡😡😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣
then don't watch it, lmao 💀
YOU'RE HAVING A GIRAFFE!!!
I got so sick of the bloody thing, I cut the speaker (piezo) ? wires. Silence is golden. God gave us a smoke alarm. It's called a nose.
I don’t think your smoke alarm will work when your sleeping
