This brought back some memories of watching it thinking how brilliant it was, while my family were doing the usual "what's this racket" routine, oh to be a teenage punk rocker again.
@@VincentRE79 I was replying to your original post. It seemed to suggest the nation hated Punk at that time. My point is that the Youth had taken to punk very well by 78 which explains the number of Punk Rock records being on TOTPs. You have just reminded me to upload some stuff by the way.
@@FHIPrincePeter Most of the country did hate Punk at the time it was only enjoyed by a minority of teenagers, I was there. If you compare the sales of Punk bands to Mainstream/Pop artists there is little comparison. It got lots of media interest but the record sales were not there, they probably went to the New Wave bands like The Police, Boomtown Rats etc.
I saw the Lurkers man Times on the London, Liverpool and Manchester punk club circuit the 2nd album was rather good "Gods lonely Men" I always enjoyed Howard Walls vocals and Pete Strides guitar sound. Pete stride did team up with Honest John Plain of The Boys to collaborate on some fab tunes "new guitar in town" being one.
Paul McCartney Jr. is leading the band. Now today Paul & the lead singer are both old buggers. Probably closer to new wave, but the Undertones on their first album & the Rezillos made actual pure great pop punk.
Are there any records made of the band, back in the day ? realy like this band, and allthough i am familiar in the scene, well im born in '81, but never has this band crossed my path, well now it has cause im watching a docu about the london punk scene, so has there being records made in the day cause i might look for this band in old crates on markets or auctions??

One of the best and most underrated British Punk bands! First two albums are gold. 💯
Wish music was still this good
Awesome

Yes they were exciting times as a teenage Punk in the late 70's.
same when the dickies were on .
I LOVE Punk Rock!! I never heard of these guys?!! Damn!! They are insane!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️😍😍😍
Punk pioneers 😊
Fantastic band.This track is TNT.Marvelous speed.🎸⚡
Absolute PUNK JAM!!!😍😍😍
Incredible to think the Lurkers got on TOTP and this was broadcast to a nation who probably hated Punk at the time.
You obviously was not there. 78 is the Hight of Punk previous year 77 Sex Pistols" Never Mind the Bollocks" hit No1 with 'God Save the Queen.'
@@FHIPrincePeter 77 was the year it really got going, the Sex Pistols split in January 1978.

You're right. The media spread so much hate to sell themselves. I was there, watching it happen.
Amazing band with quality songs - should have been much bigger.
Really,very good.Quick & strong.
Why did I never see these guys in the70s?
@@chrisruble8458 I was thinking the exact thing!!! Shocked 😮
Lurkers Fulham crew , great times
Great punk sound.... guitar solid, drums great.... Bass sounds killer.
They make me think of a punk Black Sabbath
@@NotTesting123 That is an interesting take.
Singer's got the best mullet I've ever seen
Missing link between Ramones and British punk
Proper street level punk rock
They should have been huge but they just didnt get the breaks that they were looking for. 0nly john peel at radio 1 appreciated real music.
45 years ...
Fulham fallout was a great album and still play it today... I believe Howard has passed away??!..
Fulham Fallout deserved more recognition
Totally True………👍👍👍

That album does have my favorite song by them: "out in the dark"...
Mullet punk! In fairness, this band was underrated and should have been bigger.
Maravillosa.
Great!

I was just thinking how much he looked like McCartney
The guitarist moves like Townsend as well
😂
Paul McCartney Jr? Is he named that? Considering that was 1978, I doubt it was Paul McCartney's son.
😍
I remember buying the single cos it was pressed on red vinyl. Although I was going to buy something else...
Ha! Nice reference

Fulham fallout 1st album is a classic
Also made a great come back album called Powerjive in 1990.
@@willwake510 They never really had the right image at the time, four normal fellas from a West London suburb.
What happened to this dude (the original signer) I wish he’d have stayed in the band .
Hellish.
Ramones UK - good fun but not in the first tier.
Could someone please upload the gig from Margate in 77 i would be so happy ?
not sure we have it but will look in the archive
esso avin a ball
The real PUNK 🐓 ROCK....
NO las mamadas de horita 🤮
👍🏼💯
Punk McCartney is the frontman...
the british Ramones
Yes, the most "Ramones -y" sounding of the British bands of the late 70's. I saw them in New Haven, CT. back in the summer of 1979.
Pubk New wave
hiii ieeiieieieieiei
The bass line, bloody good
They sounds like Ramones
